Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision - many of which do not have obvious symptoms. Optometrists know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses including eyeglasses and contacts.
Maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership. We encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems. Dr. Julie Gorn is a therapeutic optometrist who graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia in 2003.

Services
We use cutting-edge digital imaging technology to assess your eyes. Many eye diseases, if detected at an early stage, can be treated successfully without total loss of vision. Your retinal Images will be stored electronically. This gives the eye doctor a permanent record of the condition and state of your retina.
The cost of routine eye exams and prescription eyewear can be of real concern, especially for large families. In many cases, vision insurance can lower these annual expenses. A vision insurance policy is not the same as health insurance. Regular health insurance plans protect you against financial losses due to unexpected eye injuries or disease.

The reviews totally fooled me! First the place is tiny so even two patients being there at the same time is clunky and awkward. Then there’s Dr. Julie who was condescending more than a few times at different points in the exam. I also didn’t feel comfortable at how much both her and the receptionist kept asking me if I wanted the retinal exam which would cost $39 more. Last thing! They don’t tell you this but dilation is included in the eye exam — maybe everyone knows this but me. Something to keep in mind when you’re getting ready for your eye exam.

Just felt really off when i asked about how to put in contacts correctly and was met with “how long have you been wearing contacts for?” Obviously not long or regularly enough to put them in correctly. Every time i asked a question the doctor seemed annoyed. Also they said that my prescription didn’t change, while when i came in i let her know that im having trouble seeing far enough to read street signs. Will not be returning this year.

After not having my eyes checked in a while, I was fearful of the results and the process. Dr. Julie was a total dream. such a kind doctor who gave me the truth, but in a way that didn’t chastise me. (Although I deserved it) I will definitely be vigilant in keeping my prescription up to date in the future. she was incredibly patient and informative about the contacts I was used to. she gave me options on brands that were a higher quality which was important to me and the health of my eyes moving forward.
I have already recommended her to my mother and a couple friends.

I had a very nice experience with Dr. Julie Gorn and her assistant. I felt well taken care of. All equipment was very top notch and nicely sanitized often, since there were other clients before me. Yes, I would very much recommend their services to friends and family alike. Will be returning for next visit, no doubt!
