Update 12/2/21: Things have greatly improved over the past several months. Consistent management and maintenance crew has made a huge difference. The fire alarm situation has been fixed, there is active security on the property at night and cleaning and improvements have been been happening! Thanks for all the hard work!

The security company decided it was a good idea to park in the reserved residential parking spaces. I’ve also had Amazon truck drivers parked there and numerous random people. It is extremely hard to find parking and at 2am I am having to walk 3 blocks to park my car from the apartment. I even called the number on the security and nobody bothered to pick up. Parking is an ongoing problem at this complex and even though they are now “enforcing tags” nothing has changed since there is no one to call or get cars towed at night. I am also not sure why there is security at night as the Standard

Soo we had an appointment today 08/22 to tour this place and the leasing person was not even there- he/she went on lunch. Who goes on lunch right before knowing you have a booked reservation for a tour?! We waited outside for 15 min and even a door dasher was waiting for a leasing person to come out the door. Needless to say, we left. Service sucks so already assuming that leasing an apartment here would also be bad.

I was going to hesitate posting this because posting a critical and negative review of an apartment complex you’re currently living in isn’t advisable… BUT this has to be the worst apartment complex I’ve ever lived in and I’ve lived in a half dozen. I shared all of these concerns with management months ago, and anything that was improved was just replaced with a new problem or a smaller issue becoming worse.
For starters, the crime. Stolen motorcycles from inside the garage. Stolen packages from the mailing room. Drug deals going down in the neighboring parking lot. If you move in here

Decent units, gym, and pool area, but bad location. Our car (parked in a supposedly “secure” garage) has been broken into and I’ve had a minimum of four to five packages stolen—management has done literally nothing to enforce and maintain security both inside and outside of the complex. There are no cameras on the grounds, in the garage, or hallways, even after the break-ins and theft. There’s one security guard who walks in circles around the building at night. That’s it. Arguably worst of all is that the fire alarms go off at least twice a month, usually in the middle of the night

The Standard is a luxury apartment complex in a not so luxury area. Not quite in "Willow Glen" as advertised, this complex (along with the nearby ones) serve as a perfect target for theft which is a MASSIVE problem here. I don't know the specifics but it feels as though there are multiple people with key fob entry who come in at night and free reign on what they want to take.
