Review of Move in Process and 1 month stay so far. Leah and Daniel including the rest of team have been nothing short of amazing. They are true professionals doing their best. Was a bit worried looking at all the negative comments posted here but honestly have had no issues and management took care of items we wanted fixed or addressed before we moved in. One month in we still love the apartment, neighbors, how walk friendly the area is and our pet dog absolutely loves interacting with everyone he meets!

The management should be ashamed of themselves. The temporary leasing agent Tracy showed me a studio, and told me that it had a one month's rent off special which was valid for the next 48 hours. I asked them when exactly that period was going to end, and we asked this question to the assistant property manager together with Tracy. APM then said that the offer would be valid until the apartment is rented. I relied on their answer, and was hoping to submit an application today. I called them to confirm the special, not only did they take it away, but also denied all the conversation we had. It is

I moved here in July 2020. On my first day while I was moving in my stuff, I noticed a bed bug crawling on the carpet floor. I checked the rest of the unit and found some more bed bugs. I reported the incident to management, who agreed to send pest control to treat the unit, but they refused to cover any expenses due to not having a place to live. I never spend a night there due to the bed bug infestation and decided to break my lease.

Terrible place to live. If your considering moving here don't. My family and I have had a terrible experience while living here for about a year. We signed a 15 month lease and we currently have 4 more months left and we're literally counting down the days until we can leave. The new manager, Jose Romero, is a terrible manager with little to no experience. I literally left numerous of emails and voicemails to him in regard of people throwing their cigarettes into my patio as well as gardeners leaving dirt without cleaning it. I expressed how i felt about this and how my 2 kids under 2

Amazing community! I love my apartment. The staff is amazing! I just moved in and i love the location. If you do not like to be around downtown area then i dont recommend it. I love being around everything especially because everything is reopening. My apartment is spacious and beautiful. Pricing is affordable. I do not have bug issues, i would say if people have bug issues is because they do not know how to maintain their home and clean it properly. People usually bring bugs from their old places if thats the case but i have not seen any roaches or spiders. The cleaning staff here work hard.

DO NOT LIVE HERE! Had to deal with bed bugs and cockroaches when we first moved in. Even with 2x cleaning services they didn't go away for a while. Also when moving out, they said that we had "some carpet stains" THAT WE DID NOT DO. We found videos of us moving in with stains that were there already. Also, our security deposit of $750 ISN'T ENOUGH TO FIX THE STAINS so we have to pay for more. We owed a balanced and they claimed they sent a bank statement in the mail to us but NO OTHER type of communication. It got to the point where we're being called into collections because

Let me start by saying, If you smell urine in the future resident's garage, this is a sign to RUN AWAY!! I lived here and was completely upset by how the garage smelled, the homeless people around the building(constantly urinating and pooping), and the amount of garbage. The apartment is loud at night and unsafe to travel during the night. With the recent riots, tear gas came into the apartment from the street. I'm not blaming that on the building but it definitely did not help matters. I attempted to speak with upper management several times without a return call. This place is a huge

These are the best apartment homes. My leasing agent Daniel Anderson was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. He made my transition here to California very smooth. Overall best moving experience all time. The community amenities allows me to take advantage a nice and clean fitness center... also they have a beautiful pool in the courtyard area...my view is phenomenal.

I'm a new resident as of the end of January, 2020. I thought long and hard before leasing my 1bdrm. apartment, in large part because of some of the previous brutally negative yelp and google reviews of the facility. I saw the Colonnade first; after spending a good deal of time visiting several other apartment complexes in San Jose and the wider Silicon Valley area, I returned, got a second tour from my extremely helpful leasing agent, Daniel Anderson, and ultimately signed my lease. It's been about 6 weeks now, and I've been delighted with that decision ever since.

This building is in the heart of downtown, at a walkable distance to all the amazing restaurants and pubs. Rent is reasonable and the staff is always responsive especially with maintenance related requests and is completed within 24 hours. Adel (community manager) is great, was very helpful with everything when I moved. Another shout out for ERNEST who has always fixed every request in my apartment perfectly!!!!

I'd like to say it's good, although it's not perfect. We are in this apartment for around 3 years. To be honest, they're trying to be better. They helped me to fix the requests as soon as I submit the requests. The maintenance is OK. I haven't seen any cockroach until now and I wish I'll never see them! One more thing, it's a little bit noisy if your windows are towards the street and the best part is apartment's location in the middle of downtown.

To be honest, I had low expectations for colonnade compare to 101 apartment however, this place really surprised me.
The place is a bit old however my apartment is very clean and I haven't had problems with bugs. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy but that's like all apartments smacked in downtown and near a university. Living in colonnades however is 100% better than 101. At 101, sirens and drunk people were everywhere and it was super loud. Fire alarms would go off randomly at 101 each month.
I appreciate how colonnade informs residents about everything. The services for repair is fast

So I lived in the Colonnade 6 years. I've moved out, now but I'm still having issues with management. Last year I signed on to a 12 month lease and only got an 11 month 3 week lease. I'd says 12 month lease is equal to a one year lease. So the move in date one year would be the move out date one year later. But someone figures you can short the date and college students don't check paperwork that they sign--life lesson learned. So after talking to management they forward us to the community manager and we sort it out so we get the 4 days to make it a full year lease. Email said

SHITY PLACE TO LIVE. Make sure you check that you're actually getting 12 months on your lease. Sadly we assumed a 12 month lease meant 12 FULL months especially since we were quoted from the 1st to the 1st. I guess at the colonnades 12 month lease means something different given that our lease ended 11 days short of a year. Manager was no help in resolving the miss-understanding and we were told we would have to pay MORE than our regular rent if we wanted to stay for a full 12 months. Manager is rude has zero customer service skills towards residents.

The management at The Colonnades can't get their accounting straight. I moved out three years ago with a Paid in Full authorized document from property management. Then, 2.5 years after move out, they send me a delinquent letter for $300. Of course we disputed that, and then while trying to get it straight with management, they sent it to collections! My credit score took 100 point hit until I paid it off. $300 wasn't worth going to court over obviously. If you decide to rent here, be very aware that the property management isn't going to do much for you. Additionally, there are so many cockroaches

Positives: parking space, pool, spa, size of unit, a/c, lots of natural light, very convenient location. Good for kids under 22.
Tough to deal with
1. Cockroaches everywhere despite quarterly treatments.
2. Management was misleading when touring. We even discussed how nice it would be to use the sauna during the tour. The sauna never worked...
3. Management is not helpful with tenant complaints.
For example...
Kids on 5th floor are having a party. Kid vomits over the balcony onto my porch swing. Security was called and reported the incident. Management is unable to enforce cleanup. Nor able

That was my past review and now here is my current review after talking with the management. I would give it 3/5 stars now.
I've never met the manager Adel before, but she was the most helpful person in the Colonnades. Where has she been all my life? Lol but jokes aside, she got down to business and listened to all my concerns and frustration. Adel ensured me that everything will be better for they're getting better elevators and security. She also said she will look at what trips the alarms.
I will give it one more star if see those changes being made next year.
Thank you again Adel

I lived here from 2015-09-01 to 2015-12-31, basically left as quickly as I could. The cockroach infestation is absolutely horrible, the hot water was shut off about once every 2 weeks for about 12 hours at a time, the north elevator breaks down periodically, in fact all elevators have an official-looking letter from the state stating that the building's elevators have not passed periodic inspection and I was not notified until the day that I signed my lease that due to construction I would not be receive a parking space (by which time I had already given my 30-day notice at my previous residence
