When we booked our two rooms online, we booked parkside with balconies on the same floor. Upon arrival we were placed on two separate floors with no balconies. When we brought this up to the front desk they pretty much told us tough luck. Went up to the rooms, whole place is filthy and smells like sewer. The rooms were incredibly dirty and run down. When we went to the front desk for a refund to leave and find another hotel, they informed us that they couldn't do that and again, tough luck. Rude staff and not a good value whatsoever. I would implore anyone staying in Punta Gorda to look elsewhere

I really wish I had taken more pics. We tried to make the best of our situation.... but this place just sucks.

I understand we were restricted on optiona as we have a small dog... as local residents who had stayed at PG Waterfront several years ago.... so I assumed we'd be ok staying there.... it was only for 3 nights while we had an electrical issue fixed at home... we stayed in room 108. As I entered the room it was about 64 degrees and smelled so strongly of disinfectant you could not breathe... once it disappated and the room warmed we understood why. The faint urine, septic, mold smells

My room wasn't clean. Thank goodness I brought my own Lysol wipes, sadly they were covered in gross dirt.

The only thing I can say nice so far is the bed is comfortable. And the rooms are painted.. But the photos on their website are deceiving. The room we are in looks nothing like the website. There is a pretty decent view of the water. Now the internet doesn't work and the front desk night shift is about as friendly as their warm beer at the bar. Will not stay again unless updated.

This place is so bad that it's sad. Trust me there are MUCH BETTER hotels in the same area. Second day pool was shut down and did not reopen. We didn't even stay the second night. We went to The Suites @ Fisherman's Village instead and I just let them keep the money I already paid. The manager did offer a free future stay but I'm not sure why in the world anyone would want to stay more than once. Seriously, it's that bad.

We traveled 13 hrs to stay in this hotel. First of all the room was decent. However the ac did not keep up and the room stayed hot. We were there 3 nights. We never had any cleaning service. We were given 2 towels and 2 washcloths per room. It was 6 of us. We were told we couldn't have anymore. So we asked for pool towels just to have enough to bathe. The second day we asked to exchange towels for clean and was given 5 towels and again had to ask for pool towels just to have enough. Final day we was told they didn't have any towels at all. I was able to get 3 pool towels again for 6 people

Stayed at the hotel 6/9 to 6/11. Woke up Friday morning with bed bug bites. Have contacted the manager several times and have not received a response, just getting the run around. I would not recommend staying there.

I live in a neighboring county and my family (including my mama and her husband) come to stay at PG Waterfront multiple times a year - always on July 4th, on birthdays (mine was April 1st, hence this trip) on New Years, and often just for the heck of it. I ALWAYS give the place 5 stars, but they're under different management now and it's a tad different now. Still a great place to go and bring the family. Right next door is a tiki bar/restaurant which is also fantastic and if you walk a bit further down along the water you'll find more stuff to do. There's also a little farmer

So disappointed at what this hotel had become.. several requests for fresh towels how remained unfilled.. seems like they don't have enough housekeeping help or enough towels to launder and give out.. price is double what I paid for a room on last visit! Unacceptable!!

Me and my girlfriend had one of the worst experiences at a hotel I've ever had at the waterfront hotel. We arrived at 3:05 on valentines day. Check in being at 3 pm we were told our room was not ready and it would be about 20 minutes. No big deal. 20 minutes later a gentlemen, who would later tell us that he was the manager, took our number because it still wasn't ready. 2 hours later and no call we checked again and after standing there for 30 minutes we finally got checked in at about 5:50 so we had to rush to make our 7pm dinner reservations because we had nowhere to get ready. This space is horribly "remodeled." The halls are shaky to the max, and the paint is horrendously executed. I received a phone call on new years day of noise violation around 2am, waking me up from my deep sleep. This was uncalled for and at best an attempt to slander the most youthful persons booking for the event. I'm appalled at the matter and have yet to face my burden head on, though it is troubling; since being innocent, only makes matters worse for all parties. I only hope those whom have complained learn a lesson that not everything you assume is accurate.

This hotel is old. I rented a handicap room for two nights. It was not ADA compliant. Although I do not use a wheel chair, there is not enough room to maneuver if I did. I could barely move with my walker. There was a bath tub instead of a shower. I could not get into it so I did without. I had to use the ironing board in the bathroom because there there was not enough counter space to put our stuff. There was not any place to hang bath robes, etc.

We left after the first night.

Front desk girl had her little kid riding around the lobby on his scooter with no mask on after she had scolded my friend for entering the front door without a mask. He returned to his vehicle to get his mask and when we returned we explain to her that well we must wear a mask her son rides around the lobby on a scooter in a hotel that I am paying for and she became very offended saying "that's my son". Hotel overall was not worth the money for sure. Very run down and smelled funny. Front desk girl just put the icing on the cake.

Bay Area at PG Waterfront. So, this isn't the most luxurious hotel in Punta Gorda but you just can't beat the location. The hotel itself is a bit rundown but they're trying, slowly but surely, to fix it up. I've stayed there about 5 times in the past 2 years. I can afford a nicer hotel but it's all about LOCATION! Right next to the Bay, really nice walking area by a park, restaurant attached to hotel, and great views! Kudos to Tiffany at the front desk! She gave superior Customer Service! She went the extra mile to make sure we had a comfortable stay.

Extremely disappointing. Great location but if you care about your personal hygiene, I'd stay away. Carpets are stained, towels are as well, room service didn't come, and had to wait 3 hours just to receive an extra blanket. In the photo I've attached below is the mess I had to pull out of the shower drain in order to get the water to go down.

This place is very poorly managed. It's dirty and broken down. We stayed 4th of July weekend, and while the location and view are amazing, the hotel itself is old, poorly kept up, not clean, and has major maintenance issues.

Our last night there, a water leak sprung somewhere above us, soaking our closet, our clothes, and our shoes just after midnight. The carpet was flooded. They gave us a new room, so we moved, but the toilet in the new room was broken. When we went to check out in the morning, the general manager had approved -- get this -- $20 off!! For all of that trouble, and only

Go up to the headboard, then lift up your mattress and see what surprises await (see pics) - you'll probably want to change your room (I have, twice).
They've done a lot of renovations so things appear nicer, but it's still dirty. The rooms are cheap, but come on, what's the point of having a cleaning staff?
There's a good chance your carpet is stained. There's one lamp in the room; they were nice enough to bring me a second.
The fitness center - the treadmill is stuck on a ridiculous incline and the elliptical is broken; almost all the lights need replaced so you
