The first year was great until Property One Management took over in the later half of 2020. Poor management, maintenance, and customer service. They will cheat you to the penny when you move out. Our experience was so bad, from messing up the processing of our buy-out fee and final rent to the day we turned in our keys. The day we were turning in the keys, we decided to check if we missed anything in the apartment and found that the key cores were changed! Management claims that since there was a previous work order, maintenance saw that our belongings were gone so they decided to do all the procedures

This is the worst place ever to live in Baton Rouge!!! I have lived here for almost 2.5 years since 2019 and I am fortunate moving out in 2021. The management has changed in 2020, the new management staff are generally rude, not responsive to maintenance calls, not cooperative. The corridors, parking deck, pool, mail pick up areas are always dirty. Trash is everywhere in the complex! This management charges you a lot for trash pickup and the trash used to be infront of my door for days and they never picked it up. They charge you for any single violation and they never do their part! I have noticed

Was once a good place. Once the current management company bought it they either don't respond to maintenance requests or it'll take a week. Was told I owed one thing monthly and 10 months into it suddenly it's a different amount and charge me $645 in late fees. The exterior looked good two years ago now it looks run down because they have just decided to not take care of the property or it's residents any more.
There are several nice apartment complexes in BR; do yourself a favor and avoid this one.

Leaving one star so I can say this place is terrible. We signed papers, they got our apartment wrong and gave us a whole different place. They didn't have enough keys so we had to jump a fence to get into our apartment for the first 3 months. Trash is unreliable. You can never get in touch with anyone from the office. Also, just the cherry on top, water started falling from everything in our ceiling and ruined everything. We were unable to get in touch with ANYONE for two days after our apartment flooded and there's now water damage. Do not live here.

Honestly if I could give this place negative stars I would. My roommate and I have lived here for about 2 and a half years, and the first year it was great- quick responses, quick maintenance repairs if needed etc. Both of our ceiling fans have been broken for the past 3-4 months and we put in countless work orders multiple times each week. We tried calling the office but no one ever picks up the phone. There's always trash in the hallways and half the time we put our trash out to be picked up, no one comes to get it. What's the point in paying for valet trash? If you're considering living here

I lived here for 2 years and had a great experience. The parking garage, the resort style pool, and especially the work out facility were all great. I've lived in quite a few apartments and this place ranks pretty high.
Negatives - The cell service isn't the best so make sure you check your phone when you tour. It's a huge complex so the unit numbers are a little confusing so when you're lazy and order food to be delivered the drivers usually get turned around.

I have lived at The District Apartments for over two years now and I have loved everything about my experience. The staff and management are absolutely amazing and have always addressed any needs in a timely and professional manner. Kristy in particular has been incredible and is a great professional to work with. It is a great place to live and the management truly does care about you and your experience. Everyone is very friendly, attentive, and will go out of their way to help with whatever needed. I would highly recommend this apartment complex!!

The district is a great complex to live in. We have lived here for two years, and have never had our cars broken into. I'm not even sure how burglars would get through the secure gate, based on the other reviews. We are in a VERY safe and new part of town. I have lived in apartment complexes in Houston, Austin, and New Orleans. This is by far the nicest complex staff. Erika (manager) will go above and beyond to address concerns and maintenance will never take more than one day to address an issue. Giving two stars only because the quality of the apartments, they're very nice. Stained concrete, high ceilings, large garden tub, stainless steel appliances, etc. They have a gate, which would be great if people didn't just jump the fence and break into your vehicles. Me and my fiancé have lived here since April 2019, and had our vehicles broken into 4 separate times and as of yesterday, my car was stolen. Security cameras would've helped tremendously but, (for the 3rd time that I've asked) they aren't getting them. Except this time I was told it was because they were

Only move here if you have zero need to ever speak on the phone because there is absolutely zero cell reception. Which is cool because who ever needs to make a phone call from their place of residence? Very cool. The second you get on the road suddenly you have perfect LTE reception again. Funny how that works.
