Dr. Emalfarb and staff accommodated me when I was in need of help. They were so kind and gentle. Dr Emalfarb was competent, comforting and reassuring. When I was cold they gave me a warm blanket. When I needed a referral to an endodontist they called and I was able to get an appointment the same day. Now I can eat again! ☺️. I feel so fortunate to have found Lakeview dental and Dr. Emilfarb and staff... Highest praise!!!

Dr emalfarb is an Fantastic dentist ! He does fabulous work. He really knows his profession & achieves excellence ! On top of all of that, he is a super cool guy ! Dr Coleman Spector also practice’s at Lakeview Dental. He is an Excellent Oral surgeon, & also a very cool guy. I highly recommend both of these professionals

I try to contact the office on a Saturday because my daughter was in a lot of pain and her face swollen. I called the office and I was transfer to the answering service they had me on hold for 1hour and 45 minutes and never reach the Dr. on-call. Terrible service if you need them for an emergency. You are better off going to the emergency room.

I have been looking all over for a place to remove my wisdom tooth during the pandemic. Dr. Coleman accepted me, consulted me, and removed my tooth all the same day. He was super informative and the tooth removal itself was quick and easy. I had minimal pain the following days and would highly recommend him to anyone I know.

I got referred here by my dentist since my mom needed her wisdom tooth remove, I call to make an appointment, gave them all my info and later they call me they had an opening sooner, right the next day, my BIG MISTAKE was assuming they had check my insurance and that i was clear and cover. I go to the appt and when done the lady told us my mom was not within the network so now we have to pay $199 for the consultation!! What a classy way of robbing money. I totally drop the ball by not calling myself to make sure i was within the network, assuming they will do their job is a big mistake in this

This place solicits business by mail and offers a bait and switch tactic where they claim to offer an xray plus cleaning special. Then they won't give you the cleaning until you fix the 14 cavities that you don't have for $1400. Aggressive business practices and unprofessional. I would never recommend it to anyone.

I came to Dr. Emalfarb after breaking my front tooth 4 years ago. It was a traumatic experience and I needed a solution with a good cosmetic dentist...and fast. He isn't just good, he's amazing. My only qualm was that I had to go to the lab where my crown was made in the suburbs and being a city gal, I don't have a car. It was a hassle but well worth it. I've had some cavities filled and some cleanings after not having been to the dentist for about 8 years until the front tooth incident. They do great work here. The girls at the front desk are always pleasant and good about

This is by far the best dentist i have ever been to - and i have been to a lot!
I came to this practice after some poorly done work completed by another dentist. Dr E fixed it and filled a few cavities. The whole process was excellent. He is funny and incredibly patient.
What makes this practice the best though is its staff! I love the two ladies who work the front desk. If you want to be called in case they have a cancelation, they are great about following up. Everyone is just very polite and seem happy to be there :)

Immediately after my first visit to Lakeview Dental, I thought that I had had a great experience. However, I was soon told that I had over 6 cavities (even though a short 5 months prior I had none) and that they all needed filled asap! Things started to seem sketchy when I contacted my insurance it had gotten quotes from them for over 10,000 dollars of work that they said that I needed.... I've always had pristine teeth, brush twice a day, floss every day, and do a fluoride rinse every night...
What really put me over the edge, though, is when I had an allergic reaction to the numbing

Update: this post was for Dr Spector so I've posted for him under his account!
But I still like the front desk ladies so 5stars for here as well!!
So I have not been to a dentist in 2+ years since I got pregnant and motherhood got in the way. Had an extremely annoying wisdom tooth, and went to dr Spector for an extraction.
Turns out it was impacted and had to be taken out; it was causing an infection. He made me feel so comfortable and explained what was going on in my mouth, and today I had the procedure done.
I swear, no joke, didn't feel anything, it was over in 30 minutes, and

Jennifer is absolutely the best dental hygienist we've ever had, hands down. Dr. Emalfarb and his assistants at the front desk and in the treatment rooms are always very nice and caring. It's hard to say I like going to the dentist, but I do like going to Lake View Dental. They always treat us with respect and kindness. Meter parking is easy to find. We've had many procedures done here: gum surgery, root canal, crown, bridge, cavities filled and teeth whitening and have been consistently pleased.

Appt was for 11:15a, we arrived at 11a to fill out paperwork. At 12:15p, we still haven't been seen! On top of that, there is no parking, so we have to pay for street parking. The girl at the counter first said it would be 15-20m, then she said 5 more mins after 45m had passed!! What's the purpose of making the appts for a set time if the doctor isn't available?
Finally in the chair, the doctor chatted us up, seemingly to make things more comfortable but it's was just way too much chatting. He did great extracting my husband's teeth. The wait and cost of 2 teeth isn&apos

Dr Emalfarb and the team are excellent! I am a long time patient and they have helped me keep my teeth in good health and have been excellent at working with my insurance. Dr Emalfarb does very quality work with no pain, helpful at home tips and 2 cleaning a year with Jenifer the Hygienist are the magic solution. Also, when you go you can sign a monthly Zoom Whitening drawing. I won this month and I am so pleased with how my teeth look. Big smiles! Thanks team! -Cheri

Dr Emalfarb was great! It was my first time to the dentist in about 2 years. I went because I felt a cavity. When I arrived, the front office staff was very welcoming and friendly. I was taken back to the rooms and work began for the initial exam. X-rays and pictures were taken for my file. The technician was great. Very nice and friendly and gentle. The doctor came in and we discussed what would need to be done throughout. He was very detailed in letting me know what work was needed and what took precedence. He went over what insurance would cover in detail and what all my options were. Very upfront

Jennifer is the best hygenist ever! She put me at ease while doing some extensive cleaning. There were absolutely no issues with my insurance, and they're great about appointment reminders. The location is conveniently located by the Belmont El stop, and the offices are spotless.

I had a ton of dental work done here by both dentists. At first they told me that i had to have over 10 fillings done, which was surprising, to say the least. On the other hand, I had not been to the dentist in 5 years. I got a 2nd opinion, and the 2nd dentist (a trusted dentist back home) confirmed what Dr. Emilfarb told me--I needed a million fillings!
They have been working on my teeth for 3 years, and I am happy to say that I am now cavity-free. I like the front desk people, they are efficient and knowledgable when it comes to insurance and billing.

Dr. Emalfarb (Scott) has been my dentist for three years. He's friendly, competent, and a good communicator.
His Team is great too.
They're priced reasonably and work with your insurance too.
I also appreciate his commitment to 'giving back' as exemplified by his support of dental charities overseas.

I have gone to this office for several years...and I'm finally cutting the cord. I started out here because it was walking distance, and I just kept going back out of sheer unwillingness to deal with finding a new office, and dealing with figuring out my insurance.
The final straw; They no longer offer ANY weekend/evening appointments. Which, basically was the only reason I stayed.
They are reasonably priced, but not altogether super friendly or accommodating. Parking is terrible, though it is located right off the Belmont el stop...
