First thing I have to do before I start my review, is give context. I'm Colombian and my country is well known as a place where Americans go to have their teeth fixed. That is due to many different reasons that I will not include here. That being said, I want to talk about Sky Dental Chicago. Unlike many people, I like going to the dentist.
I love to have my teeth clean, fixed, and everything working well with them. What I don't like about the dentist is that they always try to talk you into doing more things in your mouth than you really need. That was my surprise when I met and spoke to Dr. Ali. He was so friendly, so clear and so passionate about his job, that I felt so amazingly sure that he knew what he was doing, and that he wasn't there just for the money.

I'm so glad I came to Sky Dental. Went there for an examination first. The staffs and Dr. Ali were very professional and explained literally everything to me. They also explained all the procedures and costs upfront, which I appreciate a lot. After my examination, I went back for a deep clean. The hygienist was so sweet and nice. I was super nervous at the beginning but felt so much better afterward. Now, I have other appointments set up for some additional work on my teeth :)

Professional, helpful staff, efficient and competent provider. I originally went here for an emergency service but I've stayed for my routine care. I literally had the most knowledgeable hygienist of my life at this practice. The dentist himself is straightforward and helps you make the best decisions for you. I've always had an easy time scheduling appointments and anticipating costs. I've never had any surprise costs which has been a problem with previous dentist. Highly recommend.

For many years I had issues with the top row of my front teeth. Finally I decided to get them fixed, and Sky Dental helped fixed my issues. Dr. Ali was able to fix me up and put my mind at ease--during a busy Thanksgiving weekend no less. I was able to eat Thanksgiving dinner with my family in peace and comfort.

I am writing this review for my husband Al.. I want to thank Dr. Ali for taking such great care of him! My husband went to different specialists for a complicated extraction...but did not move forward with any of them. One reason was..Covid 19. He was not comfortable sitting in a dental office with his mouth wide open as others are having dental procedures with their mouths being sprayed in the same facilities! Had an incredible experience and full 180-turnaround from my initial review. It was a classic example of miscommunication that was cleared up by a very sincere apology and a great experience at my first visit at Sky Dental.
Everyone was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. My very thorough exam and cleaning was all done in less than an hour. I feel great about what I need to do maintain cleanliness and gum health going forward. Overall, very happy and satisfied with Dr. Ali, Rui, and the whole team.

Dr. Aii and his staff are AMAZING-- honest, kind, patient and funny, I have been a loyal client for years and have recommended his practice to countless friends and colleagues. I initially went to Dr. Ali years ago when I needed emergency dental surgery (a wisdom tooth removal) and he had his hands full: I was TERRIFIED of dentists. I love Sky Dental! I switched to Sky Dental from my previous dentist and it has been a massive improvement. Everyone that works there is super friendly, responsive, and they always go above and beyond to take care of my dental needs. They're also great about educating me (in a non condescending way) so that I can improve my oral care. They have never tried to push products on me or up sell me, which is the main reason I switched from my previous dentist. Sky Dental provides great, personalized care and I strongly recommend them!

I went to the dentist for the first time in years yesterday, and my experience with Dr. Taghipour and his staff was pleasant and comfortable. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the office is modern and welcoming. And if I get to watch Parks & Recreation while at the dentist, it's an added plus!
The one downside is that while I got the standard xrays done and saw the doctor, I was disappointed that I couldn't get a cleaning done in the same visit - maybe this is standard in the industry now? Whatever the reason, it's quite difficult to schedule an appointment for that

Dr. Ali is a miracle worker! A year later and a few more procedures, from cleanings to an implant I wish I could give him and his practice more than 5 stars. Had my implant surgery today and there was no pain from start to finish, none, not even when getting poked with a needle. Dr. Ali is so competent, thorough, and I can tell keeps up with his craft. The implant was flapless (no cuts or stitches), using the most up to date techniques, technology, and practices. I was in and out of the office within an hour, no bleeding, no gauze, woke up thinking I would be sore or with sensitive gums/teeth

Highly recommended! Great dental clinic! All around good experience from Dr. Ali to every other staff member there. Rui at the front desk goes above and beyond to sort out all the mess with your insurance. He will explain exactly what's going on and will work with you on billing, which many other clinics would not spend the time to do. I just moved from Chicago to DC and probably one of the hardest parts of leaving Chicago (kidding, sort of) was leaving Sky Dental. I have moved around a decent amount and Dr. Ali was by far the most professional, competent and helpful dentist that I have ever seen. I was lucky enough (!!) to have him do fillings, crowns AND an implant for me, and appreciated that he always had time for all of my questions and did not seem to "oversell" me on treatments. Dr. Ali is the best dentist you will find in Chicago (probably in the entire Midwest). Over the past several years, I've moved a lot, and have seen a lot of dentists. The other dentists I've seen have been more concerned with aesthetics and how much they can charge me.
Dr. Ali actually cares. He won't tell you that you need anything unnecessary. He will tell you if something is urgent or if it can wait a month or two. He will squeeze you in when you have an emergency. In addition to all that, he's a genuinely nice person.

I came to Sky Dental because I lost my retainer and my previous orthodontist downtown was the worst orthodontist I've ever met (see past my past review as your warning). But Sky Dental was a breath of fresh air! The receptionist was super pleasant and helpful, and they have a system where they text you, which is super helpful when you're in and out of meetings all day or if you're like me and honestly just don't like picking up the phone to coordinate appointments.

It has been quite a long time since I went into the dentist, because as a child I developed a pretty solid fear of going. That being said, My experience with Sky Dental was absolutely fantastic.
Nicole, my dental hygienist was so friendly and amazing. She told me everything that she was going to do before she did it so I wasn't worried at all. At first, my experience at this office was very positive - the receptionist was friendly, the office is very clean, and Dr. Ali is amazing. After a couple appointments, I began receiving regular requests (via text message) from the office asking me to switch appointment time slots. I, as many others, can't leave work early for every single appointment and it's frustrating to constantly have your appointments changed. I am a dentist's worst nightmare. I didn't get my first dental care till I was 18 and, due to all the work I needed at that time, am now an extremely nervous patient. Having said that, after six months under Dr. Ali's care, I will go to no one else. I came in with an impacted tooth, inflamed gums and two damaged, improperly done root canals. After six months, I am pain free with healthier gums, a healthy bite and prepared to set foundations for the rest of my dental work.

I have seen Dr. Ali twice now. All I can say is, wow. From the very beginning, I was blown away by the service. His team is very well spoken and understands proper client service, unlike so many other doctors.
In regards to Dr. Ali, I cannot say enough good things about him. Witty, yet very intelligent and talks to you in a very understanding and concise way. This is easily one of the best dentist experiences I have had! The staff is so friendly & welcoming; they absolutely make their patients their priority. I can't believe how easy & quick the whole experience was.
Dr. Ali is also great. He walks you through everything really thoroughly, explaining what he sees, what it means and why it either needs attention or could be an issue. It was great to finally a dentist acknowledge the fact that I don't know as much as they do and a simple "you need XYZ" isn't helpful. This was a great experience!

Dr. Taghipour and his staff are awesome! I am a new patient with an emergency because just like most people I have a dental horror story from my past that's kept me away from the dentist. Sheri kept in contact with me and amazingly personable and the Dr. was able to squeeze me in at the end of his day. He was even willing (along with his hygienist) to stay late to perform what I needed before heading out on vacation!

I love Dr. Ali!! Came in for some tooth pain that ended up being an issue with my gums. I had not been to the dentist in a while after a not so good experience with my last one/not having insurance/who really likes going to the dentist??- type situations in my life. He even checked in on me since I was going out of town and still a bit sore. You can really tell he cares about you and your well being.

I hate going to the dentist. The noise of the drill is enough to make me cringe. So when I had an emergency and needed to see a dentist Dr. Ali was able to fit me in the same day. He made me feel at ease and has the best tools and equipment at his disposal. I had broken my crown and had to get an extraction since the tooth couldn't be saved. Dr. Ali made the process quick and virtually pain free. Never felt the needle of the Novocain and there was almost no pain for the procedure itself. I was in and out quickly.
