I absolutely do not recommend this apartment complex. They’re overpriced for one and just get ready for a whole lot of petty unjustifiable charges when you move out. We had to pay a professional carpet cleaner to come in on our moving day because the carpets were so disgusting and I didn’t feel comfortable moving my belongings in with the state that they were in. The whole apartment wasn’t left clean or move in ready for us. I complained and sent an invoice for the cleaning which I was told would be reimbursed and never was! Moving out time comes around and we receive our final statement

I really enjoy the location and layout of my apartment, but beyond that I often find myself extremely frustrated. First of all, as many have mentioned, getting consistent communication from the front office staff is next to impossible. Any time we really need to be in contact with them, it takes a minimum of four calls to actually resolve anything because they always say "we'll call you back!" and then they never do.
Second, we pay to live in a gated community. There has been no security system on the gates in the complex since I moved in, July 2020. I understand that this was initially to prevent

Absolutely not! Was there for 3 years for my entire lease. Got turned over to collections less than 14 days later for “damages” and cleaning fees even after having someone in the office sign a paper saying there was a zero balance. Didn’t see a bill for those charge once until collections started calling. Too busy to do a walk through.. management… is always rude and has an attitude. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone and I would recommend to those that are already stuck with this horrible place to be prepared to pay extra when they decide to move out. Very unprofessional

If I was you and was considering on moving to this apartment complex I definitely would look other places. Between the added on fees such as the Valet Trash is one of them. They force you to pay it no matter if you don't even want the service. This property is suppose to be gated but has been for months since they say the gates are getting fixed. So non residents use our facilities all through the day and night. Most of the street lights are out on the property as well. The customer service is awful, they never return phone calls or hardly even answer the phone. Management changes almost every

I'm a traveling healthcare worker and living here has been wonderful! I work varying shifts and it's always quiet here which it makes it easy to sleep. The amenities are perfect and the staff have always been great and responsive to any questions or concerns. The neighborhood is great as well, everything is close and convenient!

As a PSA: Be aware that you will likely receive frivolous charges that will not be returned at the end of your lease. During my final month's rent, I was overcharged with random fees that were never reimbursed, my security deposit was never returned despite no listing of reasons or damages (going against the lease agreement), and I was charged for cleaning fees after having left the apartment in pristine condition (as evidenced by the roughly 80 photos taken upon my leaving and which, again, violates the lease agreement).
This likely is a routine abuse of their automated payment system. Staff

I love my apt. It is modern and just the right size. I love the maintainance staff. However the management staff changes like a revolving door. They have all been very nice but change way too often. And the owners don’t really care about the property. Some examples: outside lights are still not on despite many requests that they be fixed and maintained. Also this past winter the walks were very Icey.

Management was great at lease signing. That’s the only positive thing there was about this place. New office staff at move in and every month after that. All of which were extremely rude and not the least bit helpful. Maintenance issues such as front door locks didn’t work from day one, never repaired. Went without smoke detectors for the last 5 months also. I’d recommend to any and everyone to find someplace other then here to live. Absolute horrible experience in every aspect

There’s been a mold issue in my apartment for over 5 weeks, and the issue still isn’t resolved. They promise to call me back, and they don’t. I’ve called corporate multiple times and have yet to speak with someone.

I'd give less than one star if I could. I have been living at 1809@Winchester in Lexington, KY since August 2018. West Shore did NOT own this property when I moved in. I had hoped to live at this property through summer 2022, as my daughter will graduate from the high school next door to this property in 2022. However, after my most recent experience with West Shore, when I moved from my 2nd floor 3BR apt to a 1st floor 3BR apt, signing a new lease on July 24, 2020, I cannot wait for the lease to end on July 23rd so I can get the Hell away from this company. I just moved out after living there for over 4 years. On the positive side, maintenance always fixed my problems timely in one day, the location is great, the cable internet deal was great, I always felt safe there, and the unit is really cute. I also like the current manager and Samantha, and the last manager Allison. I did have some major issues… with the management before Allison because they put 100 pound dogs on the second floor when there is absolutely no insulation between the floors. It sounded like a thundering heard of elephants above me at all hours which was awful. My understanding

Put a $150 deposit down over 6 weeks ago. Abby then told me the apartment is no longer available but I could pay $75 more a month for an upgraded one, which I didn't want. They still haven't given my deposit back. Beware!
