Living at Parkside Apartments was the absolute worst housing experience of my life. The management is selfish, entitled, and hell bent on taking advantage of young adults. Once they had me empty a closet for three weeks because at some time during those three weeks they needed an electrician to do a few hours of maintenance.

This community was an extremely beautiful, well kept and peaceful. Everything was so beautiful that I felt like I was at a resort. The office staff was extremely accommodating and friendly also. The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise . Kendra was especially helpful in assisting me throughout the leasing process. The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers.

IF YOU WANT YOUR DEPOSIT BACK DON'T RENT HERE! The office is very disorganized. I moved out on 9/6/21 and they are supposed to have your security deposit refund to you in 21 days after moving out. I just TODAY (10/15/121) in the mail got a letter from them informing me not only will I not be getting my security deposit back but they are CHARGING ME $369. I left the apartment spotless and patched the small pinholes we made in the walls myself yes they are charging me $450 to paint the apartment, $25 for carpet cleaning (even though we left no stains and I shampood the carpets myself the day we left

Terrible management and Vicki is so rude. Claim they are “pet friendly” yeah….charging $1000 for a single animal is so friendly. They will tow your car without a thought or warning even when there is no parking and the they love to offer zero help or guidance when it is their only job. Dont live here, it was my last choice anyway. Dirty and broken and rude. Listen to these reviews.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!! They will rip you off, not only keeping your full deposit but also request that you pay additional fees such as repainting the whole apartment, excessive cleaning fees even if you left the unit clean or they will report you to the credit report office as a they threaten you so they ask you more money than the deposit to remodel their units. I have to file a claim at the small claim court. I left before the end of the month. My rent was prorated except that they counted the rest of the rent in the security deposit!!! And I didn't owe any rent.

Be aware that you will unlikely to get your deposit back when your lease is over. Contract is very unclear on how much you'll be responsible to pay for. The condition check when you leave is crazily detailed, which imo unreasonable. If you still decided to live here, put down EVERYTHING that's broken/not working properly. The condition when I moved in was way more worse their expectation when I moved out.

We lived in this apartment complex for 5 years (2013-2018). Overall it is a very nice place to live. We enjoyed it. The location is great. Being very close to a park was very convenient. There is a railroad close by but it never bothered us. It is not Amtrak so only couple of trains pass by per day. The apartments are very clean and well maintained. During the 5 years we never had any insect infestation or any other major problem in the apartment. The maintenance people were responsive and nice whenever we needed. I was living in Parkside from summer 2016 till summer of 2017 and I really enjoyed it. The staff are wonderful and really helpful (specially Nancy). You'll have many parties and gatherings with food and drinks such as pool party or etc even with music bands! Nancy also sings very nice ;) There will be raffles and you can try your chance!
The environment is nice, close to three bus stations and 20 min from downtown. The train sound will not bother and don't worry about it, specially if you are living closer to F street. In one month you will get used to it and you won't even hear it.
