We lived here for two years and ran into so many issues. I've lived in multiple "luxury" apartments and some regular Philly apartments, and this was prob my least favorite experience of my ten years of renting in Philadelphia. The management was awful. We went through 3 different property managers while I lived here. The first one I had was awful, and I would make up excuses and never own up to the building mistakes. It was so frustrating. A simple, we messed up could have gone a long way. Parking was a big one. We paid for parking, and we expect our spot to be available. There are specific situations

My Fiance and I had a HORRIBLE experience with Goldtex (1 BR/1BATH). My personal advice would be to find somewhere else to live in Philly. There are so many great spots that close by that have more to offer for around the same price or cheaper !!! Long story short, we were initially very excited to make Goldtex our new home that we ignored ALL of the RED FLAGS. It all started when he leasing specialist screwed us over two weeks before move-in(after furniture was purchased and scheduled to deliver), telling us they had NO available unit for us and we would have to wait TWO MONTHS to move in. I lived here for three years because I use to work at the closed Hahnemann Hospital nearby. I enjoyed my time here overall, made many friends, and the maintenance and front desk staff, particularly Felicia and Alexa. The old management also use to throw large parties on the roof that were really fun and always a great time. However, management has had ups and downs. I did like my apartment, the view, pet friendliness and amenities, but there were significant flaws. Several times I found dead mice in the grill on the roof. The manager is so rude, a liar and not very helpful. The management company in general is not very tenant friendly or responsive. The building in general is nice and clean. They will sell you on enticing rent specials to move in but will never mention the utility charges are astronomical or that the heat is inconsistent and does not work properly- but hey the nice people at the front desk will lend you a space heater to get through the cold winter nights. Also, parking is NEVER available! They will sell you a parking spot prior to moving in and then tell you the spot is no longer available but

We lived at Goldtex for a year. My roommate and I particularly chose it for its environmentally friendly aspects. The south facing units have impressive views of Philly' skyline. The huge windows do justice to these views.
Overall our stay was very comfortable. The unit we rented was in a very good condition, all the appliances worked properly throughout our stay. We never had any maintenance issues. The monthly utility bills were reasonable and in line with our consumption.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Will (front desk) and the cleaning man were always ready to assist

Edited my review after noticing it posted to the Goldtex Instagram as a “five-star” review. Felt it important to share a more realistic impression of Goldtex now that I’ve moved out. My experience with Goldtex was five stars at the tour. It’s a beautiful building in a great area with so much potential. Yes, the pool is fantastic. And yes, the view from my South-facing apartment was stellar. Unfortunately, the experience of living there left a LOT to be desired.

I moved to Philly from New York this past summer and been living at Goldtex for almost a year now and I love it!!! The apartments are brand-new and have all modern features. The bathroom is incredible with a full spa shower.
I didn't know anyone in Philly before making the move and met some great friends while living here. The rooftop is amazing and can't wait to lay by the pool soon!

Came here for a rooftop event they were having.
The location has good highway access and decent parking given the proximity to Chinatown and Center City.
On the rooftop there's a small pool and the openness of it all gives you great views of the city. The space isn't huge, but fits a decent crowd. There's technically two levels to the rooftop. You enter through the fitness center (after taking the elevator to the top) and you have a landing that wraps halfway around the building (and this is the level with the pool.) In addition, there's a small set of stairs that opens the space

Goldtex is outstanding building, but just like most apartment complexes, it’s far from perfect. It’s like buying a brand new car with a ton of recalls on it, it’s breaking down every other week, same thing with this building, every other week something will break on you. Overall it’s a very modern place to live, but the amount of problems you’ll run into cannot match it.
