Let me just begin with the manager of this apartments. Marcilena Reyes, she has zero respect, lack of communication, she is not professional for a job this big & HAS NO MANNERS whatsoever. As a manager it's believed she's supposed to be respectful, make the tenants feel welcomed or at least greet them right? Yet that is not that case here. Most of my neighbors are already looking at other places to move out because if you ever speak to her she will treat you as if you're nothing, will even raise her voice at you & act tough on you trying to intimidate you. I'm coming up on 11 years here and Moeen has been the BEST property manager, hands down. He truly cares about the community, the people, and is committed to helping everyone.
I was very impressed when I saw one of the first things he did was add beautiful landscaping throughout the complex. I knew right away we had a someone who cared and wanted to make things better. He is very responsive, responsible, and respectful. The next manager has big shoes to fill!
Elena also been very helpful and courteous. The cleaning crew who cleans the laundry rooms and property grounds does a fantastic job too

Lived here for 2.5 years and loved it. Moeen was awesome - easily my favorite apartment manager I've ever had. On the rare occasions I had an issue, he was always super responsive and both professional and actually nice. Maintenance guys were great too, repairs were handled quickly and they would wave and chat whenever I saw them around the complex.

I've lived at Almaden Terrace for a year now and I only have two complaints. One is the parking. If you only have one car then your good but having two cars you have to park on the street and there is hardly ever any parking. Even before COVID the parking on the street was packed. Second is the laundry rooms. Way expensive and they break down so often. Plus some people wash their whole house or leave their laundry in it, so I have to wait a few hours before I can even get a load in. However management and maintenance are always friendly and responsive. Any time I needed something fixed it

I’ve been living here for a year now, I Heard and read lots of bad reviews about the previous management, but I know that when I rented my apartment it was under new professional management.
I like the place and the management is always helpful , maintenance guy’s are really nice and helpful too .
For a year I didn’t have any problem , most neighbors are nice and friendly.
Few months ago they replaced the washers and dryers and that was a really good move since the old one were not in good condition.

I've been at Almaden Terrace a good 6+ years now, things are so different from all the old reviews I've read.
We have an amazing Property Manager by the name of Moeen, he responds to emails immediately and is great at following through with any and all of the issues I've presented. I often see him around the property with his Maintenance crew, which to me says he's "hands on" when it comes to property management issues.
Special kudos to Armando and Freddy, our maintenance crew. They show up at all hours when there's an emergency. I absolutely

Almaden Terrace is a very family friendly environment and quite property, definitely recommended! I moved to San Jose a few months ago and rented an apartment here and I am very happy with my choice. Mr. Moeen, the property manager, is very professional, friendly, and helpful. He is dedicated to his job and always takes the time to make sure that everything is well-organized and the residents are satisfied. If you call to fix a maintenance problem, the management gives you a prompt and efficient response. All in all, I've had ease of mind in this property thanks to the excellent management team

There is never anyone to actually speak to about anything. No one is ever actually physically working in the office. The matainence crew are the only people who actually physically work here, they are friendly and helpful but it is really hard to live in a place where you can never get a hold of the management. When I moved in 4 years ago it was managed much better. There were people in the office, the landscaping was kept up and nice.... management must have changed because the place is kind of falling apart it seems.

This apartment complex from beginning to end was a big "yikes." First, the apartment complex has an agreement with Morris and Sons to tow people ASAP, so don't ever park somewhere even to bring in groceries. Second, the walk from your car to your apartment will be a long one (if you even get a spot). Third, there are a handful of jerks at this apartment that drive loud cars or motorcycles and leave early in the morning - good luck sleeping in past 6am, or sometimes 3am!! This place is a joke, first of all, the management is so unprofessional and unorganized. They are racist and discriminate Hispanic/Latin specially Moeen the assistant manager, He is trying to overcharge me for Utility Bills that I have proof I had already payed. I tried sending him screenshots of the payments made by me and notice that he blocked my email so he won't get them, I tried calling the office as well and left several messages and he continues to ignore me. I also notice he delete it the residence portal so we don't have access to our payment history.

I, now have been living here for 5 years. My previous review is the same however the leasing office will no longer accept mail that doesn't fit in the mailbox. Another thing, the price at the laundry rooms went up to 1.85. So, I no longer wash here. I'm deducting a star for taking off leasing office deliveries.

I stayed here for a bit while housesitting for my sister and here is my experience:
- The manager (Brenda I think her name is) was beyond disgustingly rude. Made me feel uncomfortable and not welcome by ANY means.
- The Work Orders took over a week - just to get a sink snaked. Ridiculous!
- Security questioned my every move when I was on work calls outside. That was irritating.
- SO many fights.
- TOO many obvious drug dealers.
- RUDE staff.
- RUDE tenants.
I'm so thankful she's moving soon, I can't recommend this dump to ANYONE!!

***BEWARE*** New management and they are extremely rude! Terrible customer service as said in the other reviews. Almaden Terrace was a nice place before she started working here. She claims to be a pet lover but is trying everything she can to get pets removed. Everyone is complaining about her. This is very sad for everyone here that loves their pets. The ladies that worked here before were very nice and one of them even dove in the pool to save a child's life but yet the new management replaced them! The pool was quarantined for months and no one can use it but we are still paying for cleaning

The rent is pretty cheap, maintenance guys are helpful. But the water bill for our 2 bed 2 bath apartment is on average 120+ dollars. The office told us that wether there's occupants or not that's the amount you'll be paying. Oh btw you still have to pay to do laundry. I don't know how or why the 3 of us could use $120 worth of water every month, but I guess that's just the way it is. We paid $150 utilities to the office this month, and we still need to pay for PG&E and internet ourselves.

Upon reflection I can say that the pleasant office and maintenance made this place better. I got part of my deposit back despite awful damage to the carpet that occurred when I had a really terrible house/pet sitter (my dog almost died if that's any indication of how bad my place looked when I walked in from my week and a half).
I got what I paid for. No shady dealings.
I don't miss it but I didn't hate it. I haven't lived there in closer to two years but the experience in my building was good. Zero pest issues which was great.

It is AMAZING what happens in life sometimes. To say that Almaden Terrace has stepped up their game would be an understatement. The front office staff has mostly changed and all of them are very friendly, happy to help, and actually know what they are talking about! They hold packages for you and remember who you are and say hello with a smile when you walk in.
The grounds of the apartment complex are kept up very well and are always looking beautiful. There is a pool here that is maintained very well and shockingly isn't terribly full of kids all the time. :)

When we originally put in our move out notice when our lease had come up, we were lightweight satisfied with our stay and had considered eventually moving back.
Move outs usually lead to thinking about our stay in detail. This place was NOT worth the rent. In our last month, we started realizing all that we would be "missing" by moving. We came up with nothing...
Pros: They at first SEEM like they care about their tenants. They give out a survey asking how your move in experience was. They also ask for feedback in the early months

I lived here in one of the 2-bedroom apartments and HATED IT! This is a depressing ghetto which shouldn't be in Willow Glen. Here are the facts:
1) People just left their kids unattended to and they would just run around the place at all hours. Some unruly kids will throw rocks at your windows. I saw some kids even throw rocks at the windows of the town homes in the freaking daylight!
2) Teenagers smoking weed at the playgrounds and laundry rooms
3) There's car bombings, car fires, drug dealing, shootings and gangsters all around
4) Cheap rent but your unit or your neighbors

Do not move here or anywhere nearby if you value sleep, material items, sanity!
This apartment complex is by far the most horrible living environment I've ever seen/heard/lived next to. We live in a home very close to these apartments, and the consensus of the neighborhood and it's neighbors are: "This area would be fantastic if it weren't for Almaden Terrace!".
In the past 2 years we've witnessed:
1. Shooting involving neighbors. (Once in 2 years)
2. We were cased/burglarized by one of their tenants (Twice in 2 years, SJPD tracked items down)
3. Constant fighting
