Update: it has been 4 months since i posted this review. my AC was never fixed. a maintenance technician installed a dusty window AC for the bedroom and didn't have all the parts so he left cracks from the window that let bugs in. they had to open the AC unit in the bathroom and ever since then i have had bugs (a couple giant roaches). my lease ends in about 2 months and i am so eager.

McCart Apartments seemed like a great fit at first because the former property manager was so kind up front. As time went on that changed drastically! After moving in last June, we went the rest of the summer with a busted A/C. We complained and requested help, but the manager and maintenance men were rude to both my wife and I and didn’t seem to care we were not happy. If you don’t care about how the management deals with residents, this is your place! After dealing with various other unresolved issues and never having anyone in the office to help, we became very dissatisfied. Ultimately,

*1 star under previous management* This is a good starter apartment, but it is TINY. Our experience here was horrible under the previous management for many reasons, sadly. The new property manager, Nicole, is wonderful to work with and stays on top of issues. She helped us tremendously as we were moving out (the result of the previous manager). She is why I gave an extra star in my rating. I have high hopes for this complex under Nicole's attentiveness and the new property management.

I have my contract until 09/23rd. I payed august no problem. I moved out beggining of August to another town. I came back this weekend to do the cleaning of my apartment and give the last check and I find out that you changed the locks! this is outrageous! I can't believe you did that without even giving me a phone call! now I have to pay hotel for the entire weekend! I just can't believe what you just did!

I visited this community because I'm moving this summer. The manager of the complex Maria was very helpful. She answered my questions about the surrounding neighborhood, my concerns about safety, and if the neighbors were noise compliant. Maria assured me that I would be very happy with the community environment. I left my name and number with her and she promised to call me as soon as something came available during the time of my move date. I recently leased an apartment here and was pleasantly surprised by the great customer care I received. I go to school across the street so had been looking at them for a while, they are not the greatest looking or newest apartments in the world, but for the price you can't beat them. From all of my visits to the leasing office I noticed it was always hit or miss catching someone working, that was until recently I met Maria. She is awesome, and is consistently in the office, and when she isn't, she replies to her text and calls really fast. I know a lot of the complaints on other reviews are valid

I've lived in these apartments for almost 4 years now. They are very affordable, especially considering that they are all-bills-paid and in a great location. TCU is just across the street, they're close to the major highways, and it's a safe neighborhood. The office manager Valerie is very professional and works very hard to make sure that the property is at high standards. Tony, the maintenance man is efficient and friendly. My neighbors are quiet and the apartments are pet friendly. I would recommend living here!

I did not enjoy living in this apartment. The phrase "you get what you paid for" comes to mind when I think about this experience. This was my first apartment lease.
The management is only in the office a couple days a week and the one maintenance man only comes on Tuesday and Thursday. If there is an issue do not expect for it to be fixed for a week. Also check your lease and be sure to tell them 60 DAYS.... that you are moving out prior to your move out date. I would not recommend that anyone lives here.
