Beautiful studio in a very easy to find location. I LOVED the design with the tall convex ceiling that reminded me of being in a big tent. Participants were very spaced out, this is a large room. Our yogi was very personable and easy to follow, I felt like I got a good workout in addition to the usual benefits of yoga. I can't wait to return for more classes here!

Wonderful Yoga for Stress Relief class with Erin tonight. I try to take a yoga class or two during the weeks when I'm on the road in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan -- which is quite often -- and this class and the studio are both easily in my top 3. I have only occasionally gone back to the same studio more than once, but I think based on tonight that I will be back whenever I'm in Lexington! Beautiful space here and exceptional class... just what I needed.

I wanted to like this place. Seriously, the tree house set up is so cute and such a great idea. I ended up hating the whole experience. I did the 5 classes for $55 deal. What a rip off. I'm not a beginner but the classes I did were so slow paced and not challenging. One of the instructors was the most mono toned, boring person. She did nothing to bring the class together and integrate the mediation aspect with the poses. My fellow yogis seemed cold and standoffish. There was one student with a very obvious weight problem that needed additional assistance. Finally, the owner Sharon(?) is so unlikable

That ceiling! A great place to cast your gaze, being surrounded by all the natural wood. If you can't be out in nature, this is probably the next best place to practice yoga. They have a sophisticated system for newbies and make all the information easy to access; staff are all hospitable. Everything you need is provided so you don't even need your mat if you don't have one or forget. The outside could use some TLC, we were actually kind of skeptical walking up. I must also say, the classes are too expensive for me; unfortunately I'll only be visiting on occasion... bummer

Barefoot Works is a beautiful, peaceful, clean, and lovely place to practice yoga. The teachers are fantastic, caring, and knowledgeable, and I always feel welcome there. The owner, Sharon, is passionate about introducing students to the beauty and joy of yoga in a safe and compassionate manner. If you’re looking for a yoga studio in Lexington, I’d definitely recommend Barefoot Works!

Barefoot Works Yoga is the most aesthetically pleasing place I have practiced yoga in. When you lay down in Savasana, you can see the sky through skylight of the raised wooden ceiling. The building is wooden & walls lined with live plants. The teachers are warm, welcoming, approachable & emphasize self-compassion & the other limbs of yoga (not just asana). If you want to practice in a group setting, I recommend this space. There at w variety of classes to select from Mind Body App. They are in the wooden building in front of Lowe's on Richmond Road. My favorite place to be other than home.

I've had the privilege of taking a couple classes at @barefootworksyoga lately and I have a couple more scheduled in the near future. While I have continued practicing at home, I feel like I need some help and instruction to progress. It's a huge #nsv that I'm going to public places lately to work out with other people. Even going to the gym and doing self-guided workouts can be a challenge due to anxiety and an inability to get out of my own head. So doing a concentrated workout alongside a group has, until recently, been nearly unthinkable.

Sarah's yin yoga class is one of the best yoga classes in town, in the humble opinion of this humble yogini. I love this studio - I think that the atmosphere that so many yoga studios go for is real and authentic here. The yoga community here is also warm and welcoming. I don't do studio classes as often as I might like, so definitely don't count as a regular here, but nevertheless feel very comfortable and have pleasant interactions whenever I am able to make it. I also miss the Sunday afternoon class! It was another favorite.
