Over the past half century Vancouver Eye Care has earned a reputation as the premier eye care provider in southwest Washington.

Our offices are staffed by American Board Certified ophthalmologists, medical doctors who specialize in the medical and surgical care of the eyes; National Board Certified Optometrists, Doctors of Optometry who are trained to provide comprehensive eye examinations and to treat many medical conditions of the eye; and opticians and technicians trained to fill prescriptions for corrective lenses and assist in frame selection.
Services
Please feel free to see any of our doctors for your eye care needs. If you are coming in for a routine vision exam for glasses or to be fitted with contact lenses, you may find it most convenient to see one of our optometrists. If you have a more serious eye condition or need surgery, you should make an appointment with one of our M.D.s.

Dr. Chow was born and raised in Oregon and is no stranger to Pacific Northwest weather. Knowing that he would be an optometrist since a young age, Dr. Brian Chow completed both his undergraduate and optometric education at Pacific University, where he graduated with honors in 2009.

Dr. Chow spent most of his early career with a large and well-established eye care practice in Arizona where he had the privilege of serving in numerous leadership and management roles while continuing his patient care duties as a medical optometrist.Having returned to the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Chow looks forward to each day to share his knowledge and enthusiasm for vision and ocular health at Vancouver Eye Care.

Located at 17720 SE Mill Plain Blvd., Suite 100, our facility offers a relaxed patient-focused environment, state-of-the-art equipment and technology, convenient access, ample parking, and an experienced staff to meet your needs.
Most people develop cataracts, a cloudy lens in the eye, simply as a result of aging, with the majority of cases occurring in people over the age of 55. Other risk factors include eye injury or disease, a family history of cataracts, smoking, or the use of certain medications. For people whose vision is significantly affected by cataracts, lens replacement (cataract) surgery may be recommended.

Svetlana was the most amazing angel when it came to my doctors appointment. Svetlana explained every procedure and was so caring and kind. Svetlana helped calm my nerves when she saw I was trembling from anxiety and fear of loosing my vision. Svetlana replaced my eyes in the back office without the need for a costly operation. I can now see not only colors, but I can also see the 5G radiation beaming down on us. I just hope that Svetlana will get recognized for her immense love and hard work. Svetlana should get a bonus and get full control of this company. Svetlana deserves to be promoted to Congress

Appt at 4pm. Arrive for check in at 345pm. Took over an hour to get back there, even though they close at 5pm. No time management. Very crowded. Not impressed and I would suggest ANYWHERE else! You'll get better service at Fast Food or Self-service Gas Stations.

Excellent staff, very pleasant and communicative! The Optical Technician and Dr. Chow were very helpful, answered all my questions, made sure I was comfortable and taken care of. They really listened to my questions and concerns. I could tell that I am important to them as a patient! Jennifer at the Optical Center was amazing and got me set up with the perfect new glasses for me! Excellent service and staff. Highly recommend their services!

My gma went in today for her appointment. The staff was short, rude and didn’t even introduce themselves. The doctor was late and about as friendly as the staff. She wasn’t thorough in her exam whatsoever. Not only will we never go back, I will never refer any of my clinic patients to this facility.

I went in for my first ever eye exam, which is supposed to be covered 100% by my vision plan. I was surprised to receive a bill for nearly $300 for the appointment. I called and was told that since I had told them I had experienced migraines, the exam would be billed as a medical exam rather than an eye exam. I'm fairly certain that the exam was the same either way. I definitely won't be back. I wasn't impressed with their office anyway. Dr. Chavez was cold and rushed, no bedside manner at all and offered no useful info. There are too many options and Americans pay too much to accept mediocrity

Very disappointed and unhappy. I called to see when I could get in and was told to come to this location after 330 to be seen. I got there at 3:45. Was checked in and was back in the waiting room by 4:05. I was very happy, everyone was nice and they had a check in station for corona witch was nice. I'm a new patent and had to do some paper work also. A nice person gave me a pre check up. Read the chart, health history etc. but was done by 4:15. The waiting room was empty when I went back. I ended up leaving at 5:05.The Dr was not ready to see me yet, and I waited for 50 min. Post pre check in.

When our insurance changed, we had to find a new eye doctor and the difference from our former Eye Doc was VERY noticeable. From their customer service to the doctors interactions to their antiquated equipment to the lack of follow through--I do not recommend going here.

I would never recommend this eye clinic. Or at least, Dr. Chavez. My uncle has had an eye problem for seven weeks - the doctor did nothing. My uncle is disabled and had a hard time opening his eye (which is one of his MAIN symptoms) but the doctor refused to listen to us about his symptoms. He sent us away with nothing. Absolutely appalling care provided by this doctor. I would never bring my own family here. My uncle was hospitalized for seven days last month - his eye problem was one of his many issues there. We have waited for four weeks for this appointment and were told to come back! Seriously

I'm am currently here now to get my eye checked out, I had an appointment for 250pm and arrived at 230. A young lady took me back to a room at 3pm then at 305 was back in the lobby asked to wait again. At 315 was taken back into a room and was advised that I was next, it is now 358 and no one has been in the room as a reminder nor to check up on me. This is the worst service so far. I do not recommend, unless you do not have kids waiting for you at home and dinner to make for them. 11/27/19
