We are a dental practice located in Los Angeles, CA devoted to restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of your smile using conservative, state-of-the-art procedures that will result in beautiful, long lasting smiles! Dr. Christine Hong is a board-certified orthodontist. Dr. Hong obtained her dental education from the Harvard University, after obtaining her college education at Cornell University. Following Harvard, she returned to the sunny Southern California, where she grew up during her teenage years, to specialize in Orthodontics at UCLA.
Dr. Azzah Widatalla, a Bay Area native, graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelors of science degree in Human Biology. She then continued her education at USC and obtained her DDS degree from USC's Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. While attending dental school, she was part of the Special Patient's selective where she learned to treat medically compromised patients.

Dr. Kim is the most honest and thorough dentist I could find, and I've been coming to him for years (even though I moved 1.5 hrs away) because I can count on him for a stress-free visit every time.
His staff is ultra friendly and the whole office just has a relaxed vibe. Helly is my favorite hygienist who keeps me laughing the whole time.
I like that I never have to wait for more than 5 minutes when I come here, and parking is free on the weekend.
Unlike other dental offices, there is no "selling" or pushing for up-charges and unnecessary treatments, which is the best part because

How about NO stars?!
So, there is a certain vulnerability when you're laying on your back and your mouth is propped open by an uncomfortable plastic instrument, you're getting a huge needle jammed into your gums several (so many!) times, followed by drills and sanders.
There is a certain amount of power that comes with standing over someone (especially a woman- even more so a woman of color) when this is what you're doing.
And there is an emotional intelligence that comes with understanding that.
Unfortunately no such understanding exists with Dr. Kim. He is apparently not

My family and I have been coming to this establishment for years. Even we moved to the IE we continue to come out to his office for all our dental care . Dr Kim, Sean( Dental Hygienist), Laly , front desk staff are all very professional , friendly , competent and most of all a "caring team". Dr Kim did an implant on my tooth a year ago and helped restore my ability to smile and keep my line of work. I am very very grateful. May God continue to bless you Today and Always

UPDATE. I went to another orthodontist in the LA area (message me for details) to further fix my misaligned and rotated teeth. It was a night and day difference and completely made me realize how toxic and unprofessional my experience at this business was. After deciding to look for a new dentist and orthodontist, I ended up getting everything fixed correctly. I ended up in another year and a half treatment to fix both my initial issues and the further mistakes caused by this business. One issue is that Dr. Hong used IPR and shaved in-between my bottom teeth when it was not needed and left gaps

I have been coming to this dentist office since 2012...a loyal patient of Miracle Mile Dental Center. My dental technician (and all dental technicians I have encountered here) is very nice and provides excellent service (5+ stars for my dental technician and all the dental technicians)!
There are a lot of wonderful dentists closer to home and around the city and they, too, have great reviews but why change when I've always had wonderful experiences here...until this recent visit!
My appointment was 8am and I am the first patient. I arrived 3-4 minutes early, as I like to be respectful

Amazing customer service and very quick. I had to get a tooth extracted during these crazy times and they made me feel extremely safe. They space out their clients and super sanitize everything In their path. It was an extremely quick and painless procedure and they made you feel comfortable. Trust me I hate going to the dentist. Da best. Hands down. Dr. Kim is a miracle worker. Had a crown replaced, drilling, shots. Didn't feel a THING! Nothing. Truly grateful for his work and his bed side manner. He's a lot of fun and very very good at what he does. Couldn't be happier. Thank you Dr. Kim! Been seeing him for years and will continue to do so. My whole family comes here.

I drive all the way from Fullerton to see Dr Kim. He is so honest about what needs to be done vs what "can" be done through insurance. Prior to my visit with him, I went to a local dentist steps away from home. They wanted me to redo a crown that was completely fine (but my insurance would cover it this year) and suggested veneers over bonding which is more expensive and invasive (they would have to shave down my teeth). My natural inclination led me back to Dr Kim's office for his honest recommendations. Having that honest feedback is a peace of mind always and will drive the distance

One of the drawbacks of moving is that you no longer get to go to your favorite providers. I've moved away from LA and I just had to start my search for a new dentist; that made me deeply miss Dr. Kim and his team at Miracle Mile, and I knew I needed to drop a quick review.
It's really hard finding great medical providers of any kind.
They need to be nice, they need to be experienced, and they need to be providing only the specific solutions needed for your condition.
In LA, when I was looking for a great dentist, I found plenty that were overly nice and had a hidden agenda of upselling

(tl;dr - I liked the work Dr Kim did but I was upsold a deep cleaning, told that my insurance would cover it, then sent a $500 bill 2 months after my last appointment.)
I'm very conflicted about this review. The dental work I had done was stellar and the employees were very nice to me, but I feel like I was upsold and misled about my insurance.
I had a root canal, a fair amount of fillings, a regular cleaning and a deep cleaning. The root canal and fillings done by Dr Kim were great, he does amazing work. My teeth were in horrible shape and needed help.

I don't need to describe so much because I am extremely happy to find Dr. Kim! Best dentist I have met in Los Angeles! Patient coordinator named Mida is extremely sincere and professional. I was mis diagnosed with root canal from Beverly West Dental Group in western ave yesterday thinking and believing my life is ruined. Stressed so much and wasn't able to sleep all night until today I got teeth cleaning done by hygienist names Alex, she's so gentle, caring and professional, where I didn't even feel anything while I was getting cleaning done. Went there because my fillings chipped off. Everyone is so kind and professional. They're friendly and caring enough to make you feel comfortable (which is actually really rare in LA; most healthcare professionals I've interacted with here are rude, condescending, or disinterested) and they're competent at their job. I have been to 6 different dentists over my lifetime and have to say this is truly the best one. Even as an adult, I dread going to the dentist and having my cheeks/mouth stretched out, x-rays done and teeth being drilled/cleaned, etc. The hygienists are very kind and gentle when doing a regular teeth cleaning. I have had bonding done to make my smile more square and uniform which has turned out great! I also received insight from the Doctor on why my teeth are so sensitive. Just moved from TN and my roommate recommended Miracle Smile. It was one of the best cleaning and exam I ever revived from a dental office. I spent over an hour going over my dental health and cleaning.
I highly recommend Angela has my Hygenist. She gave me tough dental love and told me to get my cleaning and flossing in order.
Dr Lee was fantastic. She came up with a plan to deep clean and dental work that was very affordable.

It was time for me to get a cleaning and get my teeth checked out since they were starting to get sensitive. The staff was very polite - From booking my appointment and making sure I was covered with my insurance to the end of my visit. Dr. Kim and his assistant were great! After being examined I needed to have 2 root canals in my front teeth and a couple fillings. Dr. Kim was very thorough and showed me the problem areas and answered any concerns I had. He wasn't pushy like other dentists I've been to, who just wants to make an extra buck.

Dr.Kim is by far the best dentist! He was recommended by a co-worker and since seeing him I can truly say my dentist phobia has went away! The staff are friendly, there's rarely any wait and they give you courtesy/reminder calls and will go out of their way to help you in any way they can. I recommend Dr.Kim and the Miracle Mile Comprehensive Dental Center to all my friends and family!
