Dr. Elmassian is an amazing dentist with incredible skills. I loved my experience in his office. He gave me a very useful and detailed explanation for my dental issues and treatment plans. It was very easy to schedule for my 4 fillings and Dr. Elmassian did a great job, in addition he was very generous with offering me a free fixation for my front tooth, it all says that he does care very much for his clients health and beauty. He perfected my smile by fixing my upper chipped tooth, and I’m very thankful for his incredible help!

Admittedly this was a few years ago. There are not many good local dentists which accept Cigna dental insurance. After a lot of online research, I defaulted to Dr. Elmassian, at his Pasadena office.
For the initial visit, all I wanted was to have my teeth cleaned. I'm used to an excellent hygenist on the West side, who can get out the most stubborn of teeth plaque, and I always leave with my teeth feeling amazingly clean.
Because my insurance changed from Delta to Cigna for dental care, I started looking for dentists that accepted Cigna. I finally decided to take a chance on Dr. Elmassian

This Dentist is one the best examples regarding the "Art" of denistry, and there is an art to it. I had 4 horrible crowns that didn't match any of my other teeth done by another dentist. One kept falling out. I swtiched dentists and went to see Dr. Elmassian to get the crown replaced and he put a temporary in that he made right in the office in about 10 minutes. It's been a while and the temporary one that he put together on the fly matches my natural teeth so perfectly that you actually can't distinguish it from them. It also hasn't fallen out. Sadly I have

I want to start off by saying that I am not the type to post reviews unless a business has completely blown me away with some sort of excellence. What I loved about my experience in this office is that EVERYONE is extremely friendly and professional. The front house manager greeted me with a warm smile and pleasant conversation right off the bat, which put me at ease. I have been going to this dentist office for years and they are excellent. They do great work and take their time to do everything properly. Everyone is extremely nice and most importantly they are fair and honest with their pricing. Do not hesitate to go here because it's one of the best dental offices I have ever been to. My entire family goes here and it's a great place for dental work.

I was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Elmassian right away. He gave me referrals for a root canal specialist and then placed a temp crown on my tooth weeks later per my request (he likes to wait longer to ensure full healing of the mouth). Dr. Elmassian also filled a cavity. He answered all my questions, was patient, and has a good sense of humor. As a type A personality, I appreciate how thorough he is. The permanent crown matches my teeth and I honestly forget it’s even there. Definitely worth going to him.

Dentist reminded me to write this review and file a formal complaint with the Dental Board (DCA) and my insurance company.
I will spare you a long review and get straight to the facts.
1. It is 2020 and this dentist claims to not have access to the insurance benefits to give you a cost summary BEFORE service. The most ridiculous thing I have ever heard considering he can just use the Delta Dental website.
2. He fraudulently billed me and my insurance for a procedure he didn't perform. After leaving his office, I was eventually able to see my primary dentist who pulled me to the side

Dr. Elmassian is a miracle worker. I could write a huge paragraph about how he's the BEST at what he does but I'm just going to share the pictures. Just a few weeks before our wedding my fiancé and I abruptly decided to get veneers and guess what, he made it happen. Dr. Elmassian perfected my smile by replacing only 2 of my upper teeth with veneers, and 6 of my fiancé's.

I started going to Dr. Elmassian late last year after feeling neglected by my prior dentist. He is a true professional that takes care of his patients with compassion. He took care of my teeth and addressed any concerns I had. He recommended a night guard after noticing some slight grinding and it fits perfect. I also appreciate that I am always in the chair right at my appointment time so I'm in and out promptly.
I've been to both his downtown and Pasadena office and it's been the same experience. I have already recommended him to several of my friends & family.

The office staff is amazing, all the hygienists are highly skilled professionals and Dr. Joe is a phenomenal dentist.

Dr. Joe is great. My mouth was a mess when I got to him after years of ignoring the dentist and then bad work being done. He was understanding but also firm about what the course of action needed to be. The hygienists are personable and gentle, as is Dr. Ani. Dr. Joe is a wiz with novocaine, too. So glad I found this practice.

I've always been fearful about the dentist, but when I got introduced to Dr. Elmassian and his staff, my mind changed! The receptionist was so welcoming and kind also very helpful and answered all my questions. Not once did she give me an attitude. The dental assistant was very friendly also welcoming. She made me feel serene. Dr. Ani was tremendously marvelous, I recommend her if you want to clean your teeth! She added me as an emergency and help diagnose me to Dr. Elmassian, he was amazing and so kind! He honestly changed my mind about visiting a dentist. His job is incredible and successful

Dr. Elmassian and his staff are wonderful!!! They've completely changed my mind about going to the dentist! First he saved my cracked tooth that I thought I would need to be pulled! Then I went in for a cleaning and believe me I have not been to the dentist in years. Normally a person would be embarrassed to say that but I am so utterly satisfied that I think it's more important to share how great Dr. Elmassian is then worry about me.

This is a long overdue review. I had been seeking for a dentist where I could feel comfortable, welcomed, and safe and I found one few years ago...finally!
Dr. Elmassian is wonderful and he has the greatest team ever! They have been always helpful, listening my concerns (and remembering them even after months pass) and trying to come up with different solutions.
I live in W. Covina and need to ride to DTLA but he and his team are well worth it!

Dr. Elmassian is TRULY the BEST, most CARING, PROFESSIONAL DENTIST EVER!!! If you’re nervous before a procedure, be sure he’ll put a smile on your face and make you feel at ease. He extracted all 4 of my erupted wisdom teeth with local anesthesia. I was numb within a few minutes and surprised how fast and easy the extractions were because I barely felt anything! He provides the utmost quality patient care. You can tell he really LOVES his practice, patients, and staff. He is the dentist you can count on and TRUST!

First time coming to this dentist office. Came in for my 6 month cleaning. They were efficient and everyone I encountered was super friendly. Will be back in 6 months for sure.

I was introduced to Dr. Joe when I moved to Southern CA. in 1980, and I have been loyal to him for over 37 years. HE IS THE BEST DENTIST!!! He is gentle, kind and has provided me with outstanding service throughout this time. He is trustworthy, and he has always shared the truth with me about my diagnosis, and handled my needs accordingly. Dr. Elmassian's office is always so friendly and caring. They even gave me a rose for Valentine's Day today! I had my wisdom tooth extracted last Wednesday and they made sure I was as close to anxiety free as possible with the chair massaging Me and a little laughing gas to be able to relax.
