Dr. Juan Pocholo Cancio's dream has always been to be happy, healthy and live life to the fullest. He has translated his dream into his first new office with a strong commitment to provide his patients with the best care and a beautiful environment to perform his dentistry.
In 1993 after graduating from the University of the East in the Philippines, he practiced in his hometown and had a successful practice including family and friends in the Philippines and from abroad in the USA.After the 12th year practicing in his small office near his family's home, he decided he wanted more and made the decision and move to America.

David has extensive experience in many different retail operations and now brings his management techniques to our office. He will make sure your experience at Everest Dental Care is easy and is the source for all your questions related to financing, insurance coverage and eligibility and optional payment plans.
When you visit our dental practice, Dr. Cancio and his team will perform a thorough assessment of your oral health. As a new patient, you'll receive a complete evaluation of your teeth and oral tissues. If your bite is misaligned or you have missing teeth, a diagnostic impression may be required.
During your examination, we will use digital X-rays and an intraoral camera so that you can see images of your teeth and gums greatly magnified on a computer monitor.This will allow you to better understand the problems we find and our proposed solutions. The prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions, disorders and diseases affecting the teeth, gums and maxillofacial (associated with the jaw and face) region of the body.

Once you're seated, one of our Dental Assistants will talk to you and explain our procedures.
Practice good oral hygiene - Brush at least twice a day with an ADA approved fluoride toothpaste and toothbrush. Floss daily to remove food debris and plaque from in between the teeth and under the gumline. Brush or use a tongue scraper to clean the tongue and reach the back areas. Replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months.

Everest is BY FAR the best dentist I have ever been to. The space is impeccably clean, the staff is incredibly friendly, and Dr. Cancio offers beautiful work with zero pain.
I have always hated going to the dentist, but coming here has changed my mind completely. Worth all five stars for sure!

The moment you enter Dr Cancio’s dental clinic, I felt I am in good hands. Everyone was professional; the clinic nice and clean; and they followed strict Covid protocols. The best part was Dr Cancio’s light touch, as he thoroughly worked while I watched Harry Potter! I walked out with a smile knowing my teeth will be taken cared off, for years to come 😁

Had Insurance Under Medi-Cal/ Denti-Cal and here's what happened:
1. I went to this dental office as an EMERGENCY patient. I had tooth trauma and desperately needed a root canal. They made me wait 2 weeks for an appointment.
2. I got to the appointment and was initially told that I had to wait a month to be treated. I accepted.
3. I had my appointment pushed back two more weeks because the dentist and company refused to treat me without a payout that was to be covered regardless.
IN TOTAL, I WOULD'VE HAD TO WAIT TWO MONTHS FOR TREATMENT.
Lastly, a team member from that office neglected

After having a not so great experience at another dental office. I knew I needed to get a second opinion and obviously needed other things done too. From the minute to booking my appt I knew I found the right dental office. Everyone is so professional and kind. It's really hard to come across that nowadays. Dexter has to be the most professional and kind staff there. He stood out to me bc he listened to what I was concerned about. Jackie was also sweet , she made me feel comfortable and was patient since I have TMJ, it's hard for dental assistants to take X-rays of my mouth lol she was

This was my first time coming to the dentist in a very long time & in the first visit Dr. Cancino worked on my teeth for hours making sure my teeth we were nothing short of flawless. Him & his dental assistant were so kind to me through my entire visit making sure I was comfortable & understood every step they were making. Best dental office ever! Front office is very considerate and generous. Most receptionists are extremely rude and just don't really care about the patients needs when it comes down to scheduling. The assistants were very comforting when you can clearly tell I was terrified. They're also knowledge and educated. Whenever I had a question, they always had an answer. Dr. Cancio is very humble, wise and sincere. You can tell he just wants to help his patients. Excellent office! I highly recommend coming to this office. I will not be going anywhere else but here!

Best dental office I've been too. Have been coming in for my braces and everyone there is incredibly welcoming and understanding. Front office really take their time to answer any and every question you have, to give you the best care possible. Dr Cancio and the assistants are always so welcoming and give the best care. Been going here since I was a pediatric patient. The staff is super sweet, professional and welcoming. Even though we're in a pandemic Dr Cancio's and staff still provide great, professional service in a safe environment. I can honestly say I'm always satisfied after every visit. I also appreciate the courteous, patient and knowledgeable front office who go above and beyond to help resolve my scheduling conflict and take time to answer questions.

Great staff! Very friendly and such a clean office. They have a TV in every room to distract you from alm the crazy noises going on in your mouth. I was helped by Jackie and Dr.Cancio and they made the whole procedure feel quick and painless. I'm a chicken when it comes to being at the dentist but they made me feel very comfortable. Fast service as well!

The resident doctor, Dr. Juan Cancio is so amazing!!
I have a scheduled root canal today and it's painless free!
Highly recommended, very skillful, gentle and caring.

I can not write a good enough review of this dentist. From my very first visit until all my dental work was done the doctor and his entire staff were great beyond words. I had a lot of dental problems and was ashamed of the way my mouth looked. I was embarrassed to even talk to people. One of the first things Dr Canillo said was don't worry I'm going to help you get your smile back. And he did. He set up a plan and now I have a great smile that I'm proud of. He worked with my insurance and what I could afford to pay and made it work. His office manager Dexter was so amazing also

There's a screen in the room so you can watch movies while the work is being done which is wonderful!
I got a root canal done and the only discomfort was the usual pain when you get home until you take your pain meds!
There's a pharmacy right next door which is convenient
I have insurance but I had to pay an out of pocket expense which wasn't bad, they'll work with you and your needs!

I was thinking about making a consultation at this place made a phone call and ask them the price of their deep cleaning . She replied by saying we only have one price ....... The lady was very rude and said we don't give prices over the phone which I thought was a little unprofessional. She could have been a little bit more polite I guess some people do not know about customer service. The girl that answer the phone is name Dahlia I'm thinking about just walking in making a consultation maybe I'll get better customer service

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place and its staff. The Dr. is AWESOME and the staff is very friendly. Like every business and dentist out there, there all out there to make a profit so i'm not shocked that they would want to charge for service not covered by your insurance. Sorry Medical didn't cover all he needed. Maybe a better insurance would of taken care of that problem but i don't see how that the there fault.

Dexter is the best manager ever! I went for a cleaning and to fill in my cavities. He was very friendly and communicated with me. I felt very safe and relaxed. We had laughs here and there but when it was time to get down to business he was concentrated and fast :)
