Services
Preregistering for classes is an option for in-studio classes and required for livestream classes. Please note that you must register 30 minutes prior to livestream classes. Invitations to the livestream classes are emailed 30 minutes prior to start of each class. If you have any issues logging in or did not receive and invite, please contact us.
People brand new to yoga are always welcome at O2. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first class. Regardless of your experience level (but especially if you're brand new to yoga), we recommend starting your O2 practice with a Basics class. Basics classes are challenging, but since their focus is on foundations of the practice, they move more slowly than other classes.
O2 Yoga is a vigorous, athletic, heat-building practice rooted in Astanga yoga. Innovated by studio founder/owner Mimi Loureiro, the O2-style is meant to focus and strengthen you, body and soul. All class levels are taught progressively with options for modification so that students can access the postures to the best of their ability with maximum opportunity for challenge.
If you come to the studio three times a week or more, it is the most cost-effective for you to become a member on our autobill system. Autobill is $140 a month and is automatically charged to your credit card on the date of purchase. The day you sign up for autobill, you are charged $140. On that date of the following month, we will charge $140.
These classes are designed for students who are pregnant and have an ongoing practice as well as pregnant students brand new to yoga. We will modify postures often used in O2 Yoga classes. Join our fabulous prenatal teachers and continue to benefit from the strength, flexibility, calm and focus one gets from a strong yoga practice - all the way through to delivery.

02 Yoga is fun and supportive. I especially like their emphasis on creative sequencing. The vibe is friendly (instructors learn student's names!) and focused without taking itself too seriously. A great studio to continue to grow in your practice.

I'm new to yoga and love taking classes here through ClassPass (3 credits)! I like that the studio has a down-to-earth/unpretentious feel to it. I definitely feel welcomed despite not being an advanced yogi.

I take the Basics class, which runs for an hour and 15 minutes. I like that it's still pretty challenging and pushes me every time. I've had Mimi and Sarah Rose as instructors, they're both great and give class their own unique spin.

Yoga mats are available to rent for $2 (free for first timers). Classes are not heated, but all the bodies really crank up the temperature

Today I went to my first ever yoga class. I don't really know that much about yoga, but I had an amazing time. The instructor was mindful of students, the space (though quite packed) was very nice. Everyone at the facility was incredibly helpful and kind to everyone who was there. If you're looking for a good studio, I recommend it.

Updating review after coming here for over a year.
I'm bumping the rating down by 1 star because the class I attend on Mondays constantly change instructors. And the level of the instruction changes drastically. I can have a really good teacher one class, and one that makes a lot of mistakes the next class.

I've been going to this studio through Class Pass for a few months. The location is great, the studio is clean and quaint, and overall I have enjoyed the challenging classes, especially Sunday night Power Yoga. I am not a novice but not especially advanced as a student, so I enjoy the style of classes that I feel confident in, but learn something new each time. However, I attended a Basics class recently and did not enjoy the condescending approach of the instructor (who basically shamed me in front of the entire class for landing a little too loudly when transitioning from three legged dog

The staff here is incredibly surly and unfriendly. OTOH, they offer challenging and fun yoga. So... pick your priorities.

I can't say enough good things about O2. The teachers are fabulous. You will get instruction on how to correctly work a pose without risking injury while building strength. The sequences are different for every class, something you don't get at most hot yoga spots that repeat the same Sun A, Sun B sequence until you're bored to tears.
After many years of coming here, I am still challenged by the classes and love the friendly, diverse group of yogis.
While everyone has their favorite teachers, there is a string of consistency through all the classes so that you're never disappointed

I live less than a mile away and keep wanting to try this studio. It's too bad that everytime I try to catch a beginner class on Monday morning the instructor hasn't shown up and I end up standing on the sidewalk for 20 minutes.

I found the teaching to be very strict in a way, ironic considering their motto. I really wanted to like this studio but didnt love being told I couldn't progress in certain poses unless xyz (e.g. keeping a straight leg which my legs are just too long for, period.) I can use other modifications but few were offered, which was frustrating. I know they're trying to protect against injuries (which is so important) but I felt very limited here. I also got my back tweaked by an instructor adjusting me too deeply in a twist. I couldn't tell if they were going for super intense, asana based

Stopped in at O2 at about 11am on a saturday and basically yelled "mornin!" to the woman to the desk, not realizing there was a class in session (i was super embarrassed, she was super nice about it) easily signed up for the basics class at noon - $18 plus free mat rental for being an O2 newbie (it's usually $2). then i killed some time a few doors down at 3 little figs (cute little greek cafe/bakery...but i'm not here to review that place, am i?)

came back to the studio, which has shelves for your shoes just inside the door, a couple of changing rooms, a bathroom, and free

This is a fantastic yoga studio. I have done yoga for a couple of years and decided to take the intermediate level class here one weekend morning while visiting my boyfriend--best decision! Carol Ciaravino was my instructor and she gave such an amazing class. The transitions were so fluid and she really emphasized proper alignment.

I did the 2 for 1 new student special and I will definitely be going again and highly recommend others to try out O2 yoga!

I have really enjoyed my experience at O2 thus far. I am a total beginner and the instructors are really helpful in the basics class and teach at the right pace. Katie is awesome and really teaches you a solid foundation of yoga, and really wants everyone to be there, in the present moment, 100%. She gets me there and I totally appreciate her for that. The basics class is challenging but absolutely doable for someone who is new to practice. The poses take time and yoga is truly a great learning experience. I really enjoy the 6 AM class because it's never too crowded and I can't picture

This place is amazing!! The teachers are talented and the space is beautiful. O2 captures the essence of yoga in a modern and meaningful way. They encourage students to approach postures safely and also provide a workout that allows you to really connect to your breath. I'm always amazed with how much I gain in each class.

Really, I cannot praise O2 enough!

I don't know the O2 in Sommerville, but when I went in Portsmouth, NH they were amazing. GREAT assortment of classes, fabulous instructors that were patient with beginners, and every class was challenging. Since I left Portsmouth I have not been able to find its equal.
Best......Yoga......ever.
It's hard to find a yoga center that you can just drop in on as well. This place was the BEST!!!!
And most yoga I've done since then is not as challenging.
They are great and you will love it.

O2 Yoga is as good as it gets. Their motto is "up dogs, down dogs, no dogma," and that couldn't be more true. They are there to teach you a solid foundation of yoga, grounded in sound anatomical study. They are unpretentious, excited about their practice, and encourage a sense of play on the mat.

First of all, I love that all of the teachers are trained through O2. It may sound a little culty and strange, but from a student's standpoint, you are guaranteed a common language for talking about poses, yoga, and anatomy. This is invaluable, because no matter who you take a class

It's about time that I gave love back to this studio and Mimi in particular -

When I moved back to the Boston area 2 months ago from Manhattan I was worried that I would never find a studio or instructor that made me feel at home the way my last studio had. Boy, was I wrong!

The positivity that oozes out of this space, the staff, my fellow yogis ... I have not yet had an experience here that's been anything less than deeply satisfying.

Mimi is everything you can ask for in an instructor but most importantly, in my opinion, knows how to embrace the silly side of yoga! I'm never

I have to update my review only because I've been to a few other yoga classes with various instructors at a different studio and now feel like I can accurately describe what is good and bad about the particulars of yoga.

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers that some of the teachers here are inexperienced. The problem is, you don't know that a teacher is inexperienced if you are an inexperienced student. Yoga is just like everything else in life...you're going to find good teachers and bad teachers and a whole lot of teachers in between. Deciding if a teacher or class

O2 Yoga Studio was everything I hoped it would be, and I look forward to working weekly yoga practice back into my life. The space itself is well-maintained and pleasant, with changing areas and storage cubbies in the lobby. Straps and blocks are available for all to use (for free) in the studio itself, and there are towels and mats for rent.

The Saturday morning class I attended had about twenty or so people in it, and they all fit comfortably in the studio. Emily, the instructor, kept a great rhythm and was generous with adjustments and variations. The overall vibe in the class was very
