Blanca is terrific! We showed up for class not knowing it was hot yoga. Turns out we loved it! The studio was friendly and welcoming. Blanca’s style and the love that radiates from are soul are what every yogi needs!

I am so grateful for Be yoga. This is a place founded in what yoga should be about- wellness centered in community, diversity, doing the right thing for yourself and others. I would love to encourage support of this business both during this stay-at-home time period and when humans can go be with humans again- their zoom classes are so fulfilling that I have not even gotten off my mat after Blanca's Sunday morning Vinyasa before coming here to help broadcast that Be is doing these great classes from the studio into your homes. I may be sitting next to a little old space heater box with

This is a yoga studio, a place for reflection, self care, and includes an amazing community. The space is comfortable with nice heat, pretty light fixtures, and views of the bustle of Somerville Ave and also a historic graveyard just outside. There is a consistency between instruction that unifies a cohesive experience that is bound to be helpful, no matter when you are able to make a class. Each instructor brings their own strengths and perspectives. I am a better yoga practitioner and a better person because of be. in Union yoga. I have brought friends from the community and from out of town

I love this place: This is the best yoga studio I've been to, and I don't say that lightly. I've done yoga for 15 years, across most styles, across the US, for both meditation and athletic training. Blanca, the main instructor, has become a hero of mine, and the level of the classes in the studio span great intro classes for bringing my beginner friends and practices that get me stumbling home. The energy is always positive and focused. The place is small and local. I hope they continue to thrive, this place is a gem.

I really enjoy this studio, great instructors but definitely more laid back and less traditional than somewhere like YogaWorks. Super disappointing they took themselves off ClassPass. Not really worth it to me to actually pay for a class there so I guess I won’t be going back.

A warm and welcoming space to practice. The classes are moderately tough, active classes, which I LOVE. You get a great workout. All the teachers have their own style, and everyone is SO welcoming compared to the handful of other studios I’ve practiced at in Cambridge over the last 5 years. You can tell they have a strong and loyal community.

This is my favorite yoga studio in the Boston area. Truly warm, sense of community. Not corporate - you're not going to be on top of each other, up-sold products, or barked at. Teachers are knowledgeable, friendly, seem to really care

I went to try a yoga class here and sadly they had been burning incense in the room which I'm very sensitive too. The teacher apologized several times. The lesson, call before you go. I'm now being more deliberate in trying to find a studio that doesn't burn incense.

I travel pretty far to come to classes here as often as I can. I used to have the unlimited pass when I lived nearby and practiced here for several years. Before coming to Be, I did yoga for a couple of years but it really wasn’t until I came to Be and started taking classes with Jackie, Janelle & Norm that I really “got” yoga. You’ll sweat like crazy, you’ll challenge your body but you’ll also learn everything you need to know along the way. This is one of those transformative studios that will change your life. They made me love yoga so much that I got certified as a teacher myself

Be = my favorite yoga studio ever. I went to Be for about 2 years while living in Somerville. All the instructors are wonderful and it definitely helped improve my practice. Remember water and a towel!!

My wife and I were very big fans of Be In...We have been attending the studio for about four years and have loved just about every class that we have taken. Having taken the last six months off due to injury, we were shocked to go back into the studio recently and find that they have increased their prices and removed some of their discounts. Previously, any non-Somerville teacher was entitled to a discount (about $3-4 dollars). Now, only Somerville city employees receive the discount. So with a combination of an increase in price and removal of the discount, the drop-in class now costs me $20

This is a great local yoga studio with a variety of classes and instructors! I've taken classes with Norm and Blanca and they're both amazing! Very challenging so bring your water and your towel, but in a good way. It's also a great feeling to support a true community staple and support a local business.

Good classes (see old review), but I've been priced out of going here. It's simply too expensive now, which makes me a bit sad.

I came to this studio after a friend highly recommended it & I haven't regretted it for a moment.

I had been toying with the idea of teacher training for over 15 years, and after a brief email exchange with one of the owners and a bit YOLO moment I sighed up. I was so excited about doing this I even convinced one of my best friends to join me. The training was intense, but I wouldn't expect anything less. It ran each weekend (a couple off) from September until December & if I could do it all over again I would. The weekends were long, strenuous & at time I felt like would

Be. in Union is as good as it gets when it comes to yoga studios. When I moved to the Boston area in 2015, I tried several yoga studios across Cambridge/Somerville/Medford, and felt really lucky to finally land at this one. I think the teaching staff is incredible - each member brings their own special style and you end up walking out of the class feeling stronger, more confident, and connected. The classes are certainly great workouts, but be. in Union is more than just feeling good about yourself for doing exercise that day. It is just as mentally / spiritually provoking as it is physically challenging

I have been coming to this studio since one of my professors gifted me a class in 2012. They are an amazing studio that has such a unique space. There are various levels of classes available for those who attend & their schedule is very convenient for those who are in he work force. They also offer series, massages, yoga retreats & teacher classes.

I need the intense stuff, but I LOVE the Friday night Yin class. I zen out and feel so relaxed afterwords. It's great for restorative relaxation for your body. If you've never tried yoga before don't think it's about being

Holy smokes. Holy SWEAT. This place is awesome.

Came here for the first time last night - took Norm's vinyasa class. Super welcoming students, SUPER friendly staff. Norm was actually greeting students in the lobby, and directed us to the studio upstairs. The space is large (really large) and when a late arriver squeezed in next to me, I still had plenty of space to move, which is great - no one likes to feel like a sardine.

The studio is warm, and then they crank up the heat. I didn't realize this was a heated class (shame on me for not doing my homework), and so didn't have

I'm in like, but not love, with Be. I truly dig the community vibe and find it a comfy-cozy, warm, and inviting environment. This is a studio where people smile, casually chit chat, and there's just no pretense, stress, rushing around, or anxiety to be found. It really is special in that sense. Also, the instructors are very real. Unlike some yoga studios where the instructors have a cult following and are treated like celebs, at Be, the instructors are super down-to-Earth and just really approachable, calm, cool, and collected.

I've been to over ten different classes, with a

LOVE the new studio! I can't wait until all of the space is finished/built (showers, etc).

Checking in is a little confusing the first time if the downstairs office is locked. There isn't a lot of space to just sit and hang out while you're waiting for your class to begin if the downstairs is locked. However, I do like that they lock the office space where I stash my bag since the front door to the building remains unlocked.

Parking is rough - let's be honest. But it was rough before. Union just kind of sucks, sorry.

The instruction/classes remain welcoming and unpretentious

The Good :
~Instructors are not hit or miss, they're all fantastic.
~All types of people come to classes. Whoever you are, you'll feel welcome.
~It's fun. I don't know how to convey that in a sentence but it is.

The Bad:
~Parking is hard, unless you're comfortable parking in the grocery store lot next door.
~There's a dead tree in one of the smaller rooms that if it ever moves will shed more leaves/needles than a Christmas tree in May.
~Honestly, the location. if you're looking for some place close to the T it takes a little longer to get here.
