Thank you for all you have done to remain open! So relieved and happy! I've been faithfully attending classes for 2 years now! I love everything about your studio: the instructors, SA's, other yogis, the welcoming atmosphere, the warm inviting studio, how clean it is, and the amazing way I feel after a class.

This studio is a true place of health and healing. I have found nothing but positive personal growth and true compassion from the instructors. The owners who are amazing and dynamic are cherished by all the patrons and staff. I feel blessed to have connected with this community

The class I attended was packed, which is theoretically not a problem but fellow students were not observing the dots and claiming extra space with their belongings. The studio was not enforcing their policy of lining up your mat on the sticker either. Overall felt very unfriendly as a new student, being unable to put my yoga mat all the way down. I ended up getting kicked in the head during the class too.
The class itself was good, but the instructor didn’t offer any corrections or really personalize the class by, for example, complimenting or offering suggestions to people. (Maybe she didn’t

Great experience, my first time doing yoga and I was scared to be pointed out as a new-bie and that never happened I blended with the class. I felt rejuvenated after the heated class, my stress disappeared and my abs and thighs got a great workout, highly recommend this place, clean, beautiful, friendly people if I could give it 10 stars i would

I love yoga classes at Greener Postures. The hot yoga really makes you sweat but it's not insane Bikram yoga disgusting hot. The heat allows you to go deeper into poses and definitely makes you a little extra sore, which I like. Everytime I have been the classes are always different- even if the class is listed as a Vinyasa flow, which so often just leads to the same old yoga routine. The day I went, our instructor (forget her name, older lady with short hair) felt the energy in the room and sensed we needed a more restorative vibe. There was lots of chest, shoulder and heart opening along

I like the studio, the space, and the really curated merchandises that they offer in the front. However, the class is SO full. I work full time, so I cannot attend classes during the day. I attended a 7pm Tuesday class, and a 11am Sunday class. If you showed up 5 minutes before the start time, I assure you will not see the teacher unless she walks around. It was literally elbow to elbow, and made me enjoy the class a lot less. I also liked to have the teacher corrected my pose, and it was just impossible in a big class like this. I bought a 10 class passes, and would love to get tips on which days

Great introductory rates. Really inviting space with lots of natural sunlight. The staff was really friendly when answering questions. The yoga class was enjoyable, but on the more chill side. Not as intense as I would have hoped for. But overall cool place!

My favorite studios in Southern Maine. Great instructors, tons of class times to choose from. Just wish there was one more studio a bit closer to me in Scarborough.

I attended a community (by donation) class at Greener Postures on Christmas morning. It was a cold, quiet morning and yoga seemed to the perfect way for me to start the day before a long drive to enjoy the holiday.

GP's studio is absolutely beautiful - larger than most I've visited, with high ceilings, large windows that let in tons of light and beautiful wood floors featuring inlays of the Greener Postures logo every few feet (a lovely touch but also useful when you need to place your gaze - drishti). The reception, changing and restroom areas are equally lovely, spacious and functional

I have been wanting to get back to yoga for some time now. I have been cycling and recently decided that my 40+ year old overweight body needs to complete a 5k. ( I have back surgery on a disc in 2009 and have a second herniated disc).
With that said, I walked in to Greener Postures on my own for Sunday's 5:30pm deep stretch class. This studio is a heated studio and I was worried that considering my idea of nice and warm is 76 degrees with 20% humidity that I might pass out before we began.
The greeting I got was warm and friendly. I was offered a free towel rental (I didn't end up

Have been going here for 3+ years. Both locations offer great spaces. Very welcoming, none of that "yogi" attitude that is prevalent at some studios. Vinyasa Flow in a heated studio. Hot, but not like Bikram hot. Very clean, and cool stuff for sale in the lobby. New yogis won't feel out of place! Love, love my GPY!

As a vinyasa-lover, I thoroughly enjoy a well-rounded, lengthy flow. Greener Postures offers just that! The space is beautiful, for starters.... a truly green, zen, peaceful place to enjoy your practice. They occasionally have groupon deals or holiday specials for monthly packages and whatnot, so look out for those. And they also have student pricing for those students out there that could use the break! They opened up another location in west Falmouth which is just as beautiful and even bigger. Heidi is one of the co-owners with a creative, challenging, playful practice. Everyone needs to experience

As a visitor to the area, I stopped by on a Sunday evening for the community class. Was greeted with a smile at the front desk & offered a free mat & bottle of water since it was my 1st time there. :)

This is a vinyasa studio & all classes are in a heated room which is quite spacious and airy. I agree with my fellow reviewers; the studio is a breath of fresh air. Very clean & organized. The instructor was super friendly & I found the class to be quite challenging & appropriate for all levels.

Will definitely stop back next time I'm in the area.

PS. They sell gift

GP offers a full schedule of classes ranging from 60 minutes to 90 minutes. I try to frequent several yoga studios in Portland, but I can always count on GP having a class that fits into my busy schedule. Upon walking in, I feel like I am entering a spa. It is one of the nicest and cleanest yoga studios I have been to. The room itself has bamboo shades and it overlooks woods in the back of the building. It's very zen-like. The instructors have all been fine. Heidi is particularly excellent in my opinion.

I had never practiced yoga to music prior to coming to GP. At first I wasn

Love this studio. It's a beautiful space. The teachers are wonderful. Heidi, Danielle, and Bethany are all fantastic. A great balance of cardio, stretching, and meditation.

My only hesitation on giving this place 5 stars is that it's becoming TOO popular. The past month or two, classes have been filling to the brim. They put dots on the floor for students to place their mats, but the dots allow for only inches between the mats. I don't want to be on top of my neighbor... I don't really want their sweat drops on my mat either. I wish that they would expand... another location

This studio is AMAZING! So welcoming and just a lovely bright, open space. And it is super clean!

The teachers are great, everyone can definitely find one that fits their needs.

My only wish is they had more space, so they could have two classes going at once, during some of their busier times when class gets super crowded.

This studio is absolutely amazing- what a valuable asset to the Portland area! I've tried other yoga studios in and near Portland and I can say without hesitation that Greener Postures is by far the best!

The space is beautiful- very well organized and designed. It has the brightest, most positive energy and the loveliest decor of just about any studio I've been to. The studio is spacious, bright, and inviting, and there are ample private changing rooms and showers as well.

The owners and instructors, Danielle and Heidi, are the friendliest, most down to earth people and the most
