Mindful yoga is our base. We opened our doors in 1996 and offer years of experience in yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices. Most of our teachers share roots in Kripalu Yoga, and we're all dedicated to teaching the whole of yoga. We are certified by Kripalu or a similar in-depth training, and continue our studies and practice.
Our name comes from the concept of living wholeheartedly, embracing life as it is! We have a connection in our education and our mission with Kripalu Center in Stockbridge, Mass. Kripalu is the largest yoga and health center in North America, and where most of us trained as teachers.

I've tried a few other yoga studios in Portland but I have stayed with Wholeheart Yoga Center because of Pam. Once her class begins, I close my eyes and experience each movement to its fullest with Pam's guiding words and her ability to help me expand further into a position with ease and lack of judgment. I am more skilled at handling stress and tension in my body in my daily life as a result of what I have learned through Pam while in her studio.

I had never done yoga before taking a class at the Wholeheart Yoga Center. That was over 2 years ago and I am now a convert! My instructor, Pam, is reassuring, supportive, and encouraging. She often helps with position adjustment, properly aligning your body so you get the most out of the position. My flexibility has improved and I have an overall better sense of self. I am so appreciative to WholeHeart for a renewed sense of being. Thank you!
