City Yoga
Since 2003 City Yoga has brought the highest quality yoga and its related practices to Columbia, providing the most comprehensive schedule of classes & special events in the area. Our schedule accommodates ALL LEVELS of practitioners from beginner students to experienced yogis, children to seniors, athletes, to anyone recovering from injuries or chronic pain.

Our practice is built on the foundations of alignment and Tantric Yoga philosophy, although all styles of practice are welcome. We celebrate diversity while honoring the one force uniting us all. Therefore, we look for and honor the good in our students as a reflection of the Divine within each person.
Services
Our classes are grounded in alignment, exploring elegant bio-mechanics of the body and incorporating a life-affirming philosophy which helps a student develop a strong body with a soft heart. Our classes combine flowing sequences of poses with poses that are held longer to encourage refined alignment awareness.
Our teachers have been rigorously trained over many years in a broad and in-depth curriculum that encompasses studies in eastern philosophy and yoga history, biomechanics, anatomy, detailed postural alignment, therapeutics, and the art of teaching yoga. The facility is beautiful, clean, peaceful, large. Stacey is the owner and lead instructor. She has traveled the world and been taught by some of the most influential yoga minds that exist. Her classes in particular are amazing. She gives light instruction on yogic principles and encourages your asana to reflect those ideals. One of the best practitioners I've ever had. All of her instructors are high quality. The rate is very affordable, location is super. Five stars all the way.

Great facility, great instructors, great price and policy (show up, pay, enter class). Classes for every type of person, with many on the schedule. Plenty of men attend. I don't know the owners or instructors, I'm a random normal guy who was convinced to try yoga and am very happy I was, and that this place exists.

In town for a training and pregnant. My back was killing me so I looked up this local studio. I wish I had something this well priced and convenient at home. $10/class, no membership necessary. I took two classes. Both instructors were awesome and friendly and knowledgeable. What a gem of a place!

Attended a class here one evening while I was in town for a training because it was walking distance to the training center. I really enjoyed the class, the space was beautiful and spacious, and everyone was very friendly. The price also couldn't be beat-$10 for a drop-in. Definitely recommend checking this place out. I will return the next time I'm in town.

I came here after a colleague suggested that we try it out while in town at a training. I wish I lived closer by to come here more regularly. It's everything I want in a yoga studio. Not too focused on the religious aspect of yoga, but open to the meditative aspect of yoga. It both gives you a good stretch and helps tone.

I should add that I came in with tight hips and hammies from traveling cross country. I came here with aches, a stiff neck, etc. I enjoyed the class, left feeling, and woke up the next morning feeling like a brand new person.

The only downside is that the class rooms

I had my first 90 minute class here in Columbia this morning with Stacey and already I am looking forward to my next class. What a great place! They instantly make you feel welcome and quickly helped me with the poses I was not familiar with. I am SO happy City Yoga also offers Hot Yoga, which I'll definitely be going to this week. A wide variety of classes with flexible times for those who work later hours :)

I lovvvvve City Yoga! It's a really popular yoga spot for people of all ages and backgrounds. I love that the classes have a mix of all sorts of different kinds of people and the fact that there are so many classes offered.

I have tried almost all of the instructors, and they are all great!

Also love that every class is $10, even the longer ones! Great value!

This yoga studio is such a beautiful, clean, and energetic place to be practicing yoga in. I can't speak for every instructor as I have only worked with Marsha Harris. I attend her Ashtanga Primary Series classes and she is a wonderful and caring teacher! She offers modifications for postures and your level of practice while also encouraging us to work hard, yet never straining or hurting ourselves. I thoroughly enjoy practicing at City Yoga and with Marsha. I truly recommend this studio if you ever stop by Columbia or want to develop a practice if you live here.

Beautiful space. Very clean. Exceptional value at $10 per class. The class I took was not heated. The teacher, Sue, offered encouraging comments. While the class was easier physically than the power yoga I usually practice I got an excellent workout. My heart felt open and light. Sue threw in some nice challenge poses. Will definitely be back.

For a yoga newbie, this studio offers a wide array of classes and knowledgeable staff to assist along the way. I never once felt out of place or awkward and I was impressed by the staff members knowing my name even after only one visit. I won't be going anywhere else for my yoga experience! They also offer one free class for those that are new to the class. A great experience overall.

Finding myself travel weary in Columbia, City Yoga was just what I needed. The studio is well appointed and the staff was friendly and attentive. I usually practice Bikram Yoga or Sumit's Yoga so I opted for a Hot Yoga class. The Hot Yoga Class was simply a yoga class in a hot room; it did not, in my opinion, maximize the benefits and opportunities afforded by the heat. The hour and fifteen minute class was actually about 55 minutes of yoga with a little too much talking - introductions, studio announcements, explanations and passive demonstrations. That being said, the instructor was
