I have been coming to Evan Nails for almost 6 years and have always been happy with each visit. Chi, Tara, and Helen are the sweetest and always take such good care of me. When they aren’t too busy, I love being able to have one person do my manicure and another person do my pedicure - it saves a ton of time! Would recommend to anyone looking for a great local spot.

Originally I was discouraged by the reviews ! This is the second time that I’m trying out this salon and I have to say I am impressed !
Nancy did this ombré, which came out beautiful !
I also got a pedicure which was also pretty good ! Customer service was great ! Recently moved here for nyc, I will definitely be back !

I can't decide between two stars and three stars. But I'm in a generous mood so I'm going to go with three stars.
OK the following are my reasons:
The technicians are hit or miss. They range from exceptional to unacceptable. You have to just get lucky and get a good one and try to remember who she is.
The management, it's horrible. They hardly smile and if they do it's very forced. God for bid you have any issues, they will rather throw you out the door than try to help you.

I used to go a lot for full sets and pedicures and yesterday I had the worst experience ever and it remembered why I stopped going. They put a new guy to do my refill who was shaping my nails so bad. I had to ask for someone else to fix them and got shellac. As soon as I got home it started coming off. They raised their prices which is fine but not worth it!! Not going back at all..

Nathan and Nancy are awesome. I have gotten service by the both of them and have enjoyed both sets. My first set was by Nathan and all I did was show him a picture and he nailed it perfectly.
My second set was by Nancy, and although she didn't do my nails exactly like the picture I brought in, I've gotten so many compliments on them and realized that my nails look better than what I originally wanted.
This place has great service and they are very professional.

I have my third appointment in two months scheduled this week. After not having manicures and pedicures in 2020, I was in need of help. After Covid vaccination, I decided to get back out into the world and "cleanup"!
I chose shellac polish which dries fast and lasts longer. My nails are short and look so much better now that I found Evan Nails. I have used both Nikki and Tara and they were both very professional. They used freshly cleaned implements and the service was excellent.

Tried this place again, after three years and it's still trash. They did my nails on Friday, and they were completely thick and lumpy. I was asked to come back Monday to have them redone and their top coat is all lumpy. Danny told me that they'll have to call the manufacturer because they're all messed up (he even opened a brand new one). He applied and reapplied and reapplied the top coat over and over and over for what felt like forever. COMPLETE AND TOTAL GARBAGE. They’re overpriced, unprofessional, and their work doesn’t last. The shellac manicure shown below took TWO whole hours. It’s not 5 days later, and it’s peeling off. Whaaat? Complete waste of my time, money, and energy. My shellac manicures from anywhere else last me a minimum of two weeks.

My second time going to this establishment after my pedicure was done well the first time. This time my experience was different. I asked for Nancy to do my acrylic nails based upon recommendations. I called hours ahead for an appointment. When I arrived much to my surprise she was very rude upon greeting. She is a much older lady who moves at turtle speed doing my nails. As I ask for a better "stiletto" shape she tells me it will be an extra $5. Then it's an extra $10 for these crystal stones that weren't sized properly to fit my tiny hands. Over priced !!!For starters the place is so cute . They are very clean and all very nice people , but unfortunately I did not like the way the nails came out .Especially for $90. I don't know any other nice way to put it but I myself could've done a better job at my nails . The nails are supper thin . I'm not one to tell people how to do their job but I personally feel like they should've looked like what I asked for ,for $90 . I've been going here for ten years now and truly enjoy the services because they take their time and I am proud of the results, however, today I was celebrating my very first Mother's Day and was very disappointed. My sister and I went together and it seems as if we were racially profiled because they failed to massage during pedicure and manicure services but we paid full price. I felt rushed. $75 for pretty feet and nails but they did not exfoliate nor massage my hands.

Overcharge clients. Honestly did a bad job. She didn't took the time & ended up cutting me multiple times. Charged me 77$ for this set. Didn't clean afterwards neither left half the glue on my nails. I hope I can get a refund. I drove al the way from Humble very disappointed.

Linda is the best! She is so caring and sweet. She even fixed a nail that one of the other nail techs messed up. For reference, the other nail tech is named Ali. Do not get her! She even cut me and didn't bother putting alcohol on it until I said something.

I came in with natural/real, long, round shaped nails. The nail tech asked me what length I wanted taken off but did not ask what shape. She cut and filed them square and when I pointed out that I wanted the shape I came in with she said that she would make the final nail shape at the end. I trusted her and even made a joke that I wouldn’t recognize myself with square shape nails and we continued. Then at the end of the service my nails were still square. Was blocked on Instagram by the owner of this establishment after expressing some concerns about her outlandish requests for clients to be on time to their appointments when i have personally had to wait on a tech to start my nails because they had to go get their son from school. I mean if you have children or other responsibilities it's understandable but don't book appointments for the time that you won't be present that makes absolutely zero sense. I was appalled to know that expressing genuine displeasure with the restrictions and requirements that the customers must follow

I am so happy I went back because my previous experience was not the best. This is my 3rd visit.This time I requested Tina as there was a previous good review about her work. She did not let me down. She is very meticulous and did an amazing job. Tara the lady that did my feet......she just turned a bad day into a good one. Not only did Tara do a great job on my nails. She provided a amazing, relaxing, and caring massage. The whole visit was relaxing! I would highly recommend this place. I will definitely be coming back but only for Tina and Tara.

First time here and I told them! I spend 157 2 sets of nails me and my daughter, for mine was $85 and Nacu did them, she took 2.5 hours and I have to tell her several times to buff and file the nail and still make a horrible job, I notice other employees laughing because her job instead helping and make a customer happy. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! I have been a customer here for a pretty long time. I was never a huge fan of it but the fact that it's close to my house kept me coming back. I've really been paying attention the last couple of visits and I've noticed that they don't always clean their instruments in between customers. Especially the "cheese grater" that's used for pedicures and the nail files. Covid champs!! I'm so happy with Evan Nails and their response to covid. All of their staff wear masks, shields and protective jacket/shirts. Customers are of course required to wear masks. The chairs and stations are spread a safe distance and sanitized before each customer. Each pedicure chair is surrounded by discrete but effective plastic. And acrylic shields separate manicure technicians from customers. Clearly they care for their people and their customers. It's my first time here at Evan Nails, introduced by a family member, and I am thoroughly impressed. The decor, ambiance, and service are top notch. I had Helen do my pedicure, and she was the sweetest soul ever. She took her time to clean my toe nails out especially, and was every accommodating. The salon also offers complimentary soft beverages.
I am not a Houston resident, but will definitely visit this location again, when in town.

First time I went to Evans Nails I had an amazing experience. The second time ANN did my nails and the experience was awful. I got a manicure with shellac! I have 3rd degree burns on my hands so I'm aware my hands look different. She turned my hands over to look at my burns and didn't say anything. Just looked in disgust! She looked at my hands as if I had a disease. She didn't massage or put lotion on my hands after she was done I asked for lotion she basically slammed it on the desk and walked off. This nail shop is 30 minutes from my apartment but I am willing to make the drive. I've been coming to Evan nails for about 3-4 years. I don't get my nails done that often but this is my go-to place.

I always ask for CAROLINE. She is so sweet and talented in her work. She is meticulous that everything has to look clean and precise. She is so easy to talk to. I've gotta SHELLAC, ACRYLIC, and with this last visit, I tried DIP POWDER for the first time. They have so many services and a huge variety of color you can choose from. Their shop is always so clean and their wall is stunning

I had to come back and have my nails reshaped because they were huge and bulky. There was an older lady giving me really dirty looks and speaking to her coworker in another language. I guess she was pissed because I came back to have them fix my nails. The place is very pretty but the customer service is poor. They only offer certain people beverages. Who knows what the criteria is.
