I have been a patient of Dr. Ragsdale's for 10 years. I am a patient of hers because of the high quality of care, the friendliness of the environment, and the professionalism of all her staff. She truly cares about each patient and it shows. She has my complete trust and respect as a doctor, and I am forever grateful I found her when we moved… back to Texas. I write this review after visiting the Austin Laser Dentistry today for my regular cleaning and check-up. Dr. Ragsdale and her team are simply the best. I am a reluctant dental patient and have been for many years. I think some no anesthesia dental work as a kid scarred me. They have been very, very accommodating to my needs for many years. So this dentist is amazing. This is what it was like going to a dentist 20 years ago. Deep explaination of things, sharp Doctor that actually spends time with you and highly trained staff.
But don't let the "old school" throw you! They are very tech savvy, digital x-ray, mini camera to photo all your teeth and blow them up on a screen to evaluate and point things out... And the lasers! They use various types of laser treatment and the this Doc actually trains other dentists in the use of these new technologies.
They have a lounge in the back with drinks and snacks if you need

These folks are so sweet and kind to me every single time. Their excellent bedside manner has directly contributed to an actual decline in my dental anxiety - something I never expected to improve. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a huge baby, but they know that about me and work around it. I would recommend them all day to any dental scaredy cats out there.

Dr Ragsdale is a caring, gentle dentist and does good work, HOWEVER, I was extremely disappointed that I was charged for an "adjustment" she did to a tooth while doing scheduled (and approved) work on a different tooth. She announced she was going to do it, did it in less than one minute, and proceeded with the scheduled work. She did not mention any additional charge and I assumed she was doing it as a courtesy since I had to return to complete what she hadn't been able to finish in my previous visit (inability to get proper numbing). I questioned the additional $168 on my bill

The dentist is great. Unfortunately, the office has not been. Also, the prices are very high and I had what was explained to me as 'necessary' periodontal treatment done, which was then not entirely covered by my insurance due to it being 'unnecessary'. My bill went to collections very quickly but I had called and called every day sometimes twice a day to talk about how to decrease the balance and insurance information. I will be calling to just pay it off and move on to another dentist. It's a bummer.

Dr. Ragsdale is an incredible dentist. She is full of compassion with great bedside manner. Her technique and technology with lasers has been an absolute game changer in my dental care. She was able to fix multiple problems I had been putting off for years due to fear of the dentist, but the laser made it so easy! Her staff is all so kind and friendly, the office runs extremely smoothly. I'm normally very afraid of going to the dentist but would highly recommend Dr. Ragsdale and her team to anyone!

I don't currently live in Austin, but I have been visiting my parents and they had heard great things about Dr Ragsdale. I have had many terrible experiences with dentists in the past and have bad family genetic history with teeth. I had been putting off the dentist for 4 years and I finally had to come in to get my teeth checked out, and I ended up needing work done by Dr Ragsdale. She and the ladies in her office made me feel so comfortable and safe while getting my work done. They also helped me figure out my insurance out, and absolutely went above and beyond. I will for sure be returning

Can't say enough good things about Dr. Ragsdale and her team. Until today I hadn't been to the dentist for a cleaning for about four years. I was in tears from embarrassment of not making my oral health a priority, and they were all so encouraging and nice. I previously had gone to a different dentist for an initial appointment, and he was extremely judgmental and unhelpful. That particular doctor said I would need so much work that I'd need to make four separate appointments to get it all done, and two of those visits would require an injectable anesthetic. Dr. Ragsdale and her entire staff have been wonderful. After many years of dental neglect, and utmost dental fear, I have finally found a place where I feel completely comfortable and well cared for. I called on a Monday morning for a slight emergency and was seen right away. Several employees have been there for decades, That itself says a lot!
Still can't say I look forward to going to the dentist but this dr and her staff have made a big difference in my dental world.
Highly recommend!! They also have nitrous that I didn't even have to use..not yet anyway

It's not hard to see that this office goes out of their way for patient comfort and care. When I first came into the office, I was taken to this awesome little "smile lounge" as they called it and got to wait in the cozy area while I waited on treatment. Everyone is so friendly and Dr. Ragsdale is a fantastic dentist! She answered all of my many, many questions thoroughly and is great at what she does!

I just had the most amazing experience at this office! I wanted to write this review because I believe everyone should have an experience like this with their dentist. I needed to find a dentist in Austin after relocating to the area and I am so thankful I found Dr. Ragsdale. I had a filling performed and I could not believe how relaxing and fun the experience was. Her assistants make you feel like you're talking to your best friends. Dr. Ragsdale is beyond fantastic. She was gentle, kind and calmingly patient toward my dental fears. I felt absolutely nothing throughout the entire filling

First off, let me say that it seems this is a polarizing place as people either love this office or really hate it. I "tolerated" it until recently when I had a horrible series of experiences.

After my last cleaning they told me I was doing so good I could change to 6 month cleanings.
