We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter; and specialized blood tests for all life stages.
Is your pet unhappy or lonely while you're at work? Give your companion the personal attention he or she deserves throughout the day. We offer the same TLC and playtime offered to our longer-term guests. Dog owners feed, nurture, and lavish attention on their "best friend". Our highly qualified kennel attendants do the same for your dog when you can't be there.
Our certified grooming staff possesses the expert knowledge needed to simultaneously offer skilled grooming services, safety and comfort to our patients. Our grooming department offers a variety of services to help keep your pets clean, comfortable and happy. Our grooming services include: bathing, clipping, nail trimming, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, furminator treatments, and dematting.
A pet is never truly forgotten until it is no longer remembered. In honor of those that have left everlasting paw prints on our hearts. Acorn Animal Hospital has partnered with American Veterinary Medical Foundation to create The Maggie Fund. This fund was created as a way to raise money to assist pet owners who cannot afford life saving emergency care and surgical care for their pets.

Having moved from the Lowell, Ma. area into Bellingham, Ma. my search for a quality group of doctors for my kitties started with a bunch of area searches for a Vet Hospital to care for my three. Most either didn't pass the sniff test or didn't have many positive reviews. There were a couple that looked pretty good to me but weren't taking any new clients. My daughter suggested that I call Acorn and inquire if they were accepting new clients. To my surprise they were so I scheduled an appointment for all three at the same time.(something most vets do not do) went very well. Happily when time came

I haven’t had luck with Acorn. Went to them for years and years as far back when Dr. Goddard was there. He was great. Sadly, in more recent years I have had three bad experiences (2 life threatening) and knew I had to do better.
Was also left with an unsettled feeling when I supported a fundraiser for one of the vets and was unacknowledged… when I asked for support for a fundraiser. (Girls softball) 🤷♂️
Also don’t know if they have overnight staff with the boarding pets. If they don’t, I don’t see the difference between leaving a pet alone

The staff here is fantastic. My dog LOVES the daycare, she can't get in there fast enough and comes home exhausted from playing all day. We just brought a new kitten there and the staff was more than accommodating with the appointment. We got an appointment within the week. We love it here. I highly recommend Acorn for all of your pets needs.

I was having trouble getting my dog in at my former vet and when she was in, they often were sending me to the pharmacy for her prescriptions rather than having them available on-site. Acorn was exceptionally professional, saw my dog timely and conventionally on Saturday hours, delivered her back to me with her prescriptions and directions of usage. I was easily able to book her follow up with the same vet. Acorn made it easy on us!

My husband and I just brought home an 8 week old puppy and brought him to Acorn for his wellness check. The staff was extremely professional and friendly and treated our new pup like their own. Dr. Violin and our vet tech were knowledgeable and took time to offer information and answer our many “new puppy “ questions. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend them.

We just recently bought a puppy and have brought him to Acorn twice for wellness checks and his second round of vaccines. Both visits were wonderful. Additionally, we had several questions over the past few weeks as new puppy parents. Acorn has provided the best care for our pup, always friendly and never rushes us. They answer all our questions, giving us their outmost attention. We are so happy with the doctors, the vet techs, the attention and friendliness. We are thrilled that Acorn is our puppy’s clinic.

Shop your choices. Rude experience from Kathy whom answered the phone today. I tried to make an appointment last night for my dogs ear and was asked to call back the following day at 8 AM when they opened as they do not book appointments in advance (which is fairly strange logic). Called at 8 AM on the dot. Waited 10 minutes on hold. Kathy picked… up and told me all appointments had been booked for the day. I think anyone could see how one would be put off by this, especially given the fact that the prior evening there were available appointments to be booked. I am a business owner, and

Been going there over 40 years. Very upset at them for conning my elderly easily coerced mother into 350$ worth of meds and shots my dog never needed when she only took her in for a nail clipping... which they never wound up doing. I AM FURIOUS and will be taking our business elsewhere AFTER i return these meds we never asked for and get refunded for the services never performed!

Unfortunately i lost my furr baby recently 😞 but when i was there with my baby boy and the dr went above and beyond like when i tell u went above and beyond they not only give me comfort about the whole process while it was happening but after i left i started to blam myself but then a letter arrived from his dr that was with us and in this hand… written letter he assured me i did the right thing and i couldnt even explain how much i needed to hear that from him right then!
