Yoga is a state of Consciousness that exists in all of us at all times. The practices of Yoga help us attune to that state, that spacious Awareness. Taking good care of your body and your mind. As you turn toward yourself with kindness, openness and loving attention, the fullness of who you are may be received.

When we opened, Sheila Burns was the only instructor, offering Restorative Yoga classes, Embodyment Yoga Therapy and Meditation Workshops. In 2009, as our community grew and our needs changed and evolved, we added multiple styles of yoga to our class schedule.

Sheila was first introduced to yoga 50 years ago as a warm-up for theatrical performances. Since her first formal yoga training in 2004, she has had the privilege of training with master teachers in the US and internationally including Sally Kempton, Richard Miller, Mukunda Stiles, Dr Vasant Lad, and Dr N Chandrasekaran (Dr NC) of Chennai, India.
Many teachers, students and friends considered "Bliss" their yoga home. It has been an honor and a privilege to practice yoga and to share community with you for all these years. Thank you for helping to make the space so remarkable by your presence. Our current locations include Zoom and YouTube. We look forward to continuing to share a practice and community with you as we navigate these challenging times together.

I have been attending classes at Bliss for two years, and have made it my home for yoga classes. One of my favorite classes is Soma Yoga. Elen and Kristina are wonderful teachers - kind, caring, and skilled, and I always come away feeling much better and carrying away skills I can use at home. I also love Restorative Yoga and Yoga for Strong Bones. Sheila has created a top-notch yoga studio that always feels welcoming.

I went in the studio seen therapist Elen right when I met her I did not get a pleasant reaction from her. Was greeted very cold not nice to me when I would ask a question she would interrupt several times. Tried to explain the areas that I have more concern on. Would be interrupted in the middle of my conversation. I felt like I was not treated nicely by her attitude she was given me the whole time I was there. I will not be coming back to this place since the atmosphere was not good at all. Found another place where I was treated way better and my therapist listens and helps me. I don’t know

I have been a Bliss participant for many years, in many ways. I attend Soma yoga sessions now, and have participated often in many other varieties of yoga over the years. I also have engaged Elen in Soma yoga therapy on a continuing (not continual) basis for over two years. The instructors at Bliss are knowledgeable and professional. They are sensitive to the variance among participants and tailor activities to the members present at the time. Elen specifically is kind, caring and very professional. She is a gently guide to Soma classes (which usually have 4-7 participants) and is an excellent

The staff is simply wonderful. They are warmly caring, they tailor the movements to each person. They have gone out of their way, far out of their way to tend to my needs. I have nothing but the best to say about them. They are professional and deeply well trained. I'd recommend them wholeheartedly and without reservation!

In addition to attending several of the classes offered at Bliss Yoga, I have been introduced to Soma Yoga Therapy at Bliss in the past year. Who even knew it was a thing?! Elen Bahr, who specializes in Soma Yoga therapy, is the therapist there that I have worked with the most. She listened attentively to me describe the issue I'd been dealing with for some time, as well as some context around my issue. She quickly assessed the issue, explained what she thought was going on and the approach she would suggest to address it, and then offered an endless variety of helpful strategies to address said

I have taken several classes at Bliss Yoga, and I have enjoyed all of them. I leave feeling better than when I entered. The instructors are supportive, and their guidance and suggestions are helpful. I appreciate the balance of focusing on the mind and body and being present in the moment. I am thankful for this studio.
