Q: What, exactly IS aerial silks? A: Aerial silks is a type of fitness activity (think circus!) in which someone performs aerial acrobatics utilizing a specialized fabric (see photo to the left). This is a great physical activity for anyone, guys, too! Q: Do you offer Aerial yoga, too? A: Yes! For those looking for a more restorative option versus circus acrobatics, check our out Aerial Yoga offerings starting in Fall of 2021.
Kendall Knowles has been performing aerial arts for the past 17 years and has a passion for teaching students of all ages and abilities. Owner and lead instructor for Central Oregon Aerial Arts, she is also an experienced rock climber and outdoor enthusiast. Kendall teaches all levels of aerial silks from beginning to advanced, and can help you gain strength, confidence, and ensure you learn in a fun and safe environment!
Central Oregon Aerial Arts does NOT recommend the rigging of silks for home use. You need to hire a structural engineer to ensure the place you want to rig to can support the weight and loads. Aerial silks is also NOT covered by renter or homeowners insurance and can negate your claims if not noted.
Central Oregon Aerial Arts offers private lessons on a variety of dates and times to fit your schedule. Private lessons are $50 and require a 50% deposit to confirm the booking. Contact us for inquiries for group privates and discounts for multiple students. The deposit is only refundable with 48-hour notice.
If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind party or way to celebrate a special occasion, contact Central Oregon Aerial Arts for a silks party! Each party includes a 1.5 hour private lesson just for your group! Add 30 minutes to serve your cake at COAA and open up presents or make a special presentation for an extra $25 fee.

This place is such a gem! I first entered this studio with health issues (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, so movement is challenging for me!), a sedentary lifestyle, and a plus-size body, so I was very intimidated by aerial arts. The instructors here are absolutely fantastic! They are so knowledgable about working with different bodies and abilities. They took me under their wings and helped me with the very basics. I’m now very active, coming to classes multiple times per week for several months straight now. I feel so supported and part of the community. I love COAA!

We have been going to Central Oregon Aerial Arts for nearly 3 years. Kendall is an incredible teacher and mentor, encouraging her students to safely challenge themselves. The focus is on strength before skills for the safety of the participants. The environment is incredibly friendly and supportive, no matter what your skill level or body type is.
