AM Yoga uses these three elements (sadhana, satusung, and seva) to experience a state of I AM. It is what we teach, practice daily, and are committed to sharing with the world. Whether it is in our studio, in your business, in your home, at your event - we use this equation to help people to realize their highest state. AM offers daily classes for you to experience how these practices will transform your life.
Services
We offer powerful vinyasa style classes to create strength, flexibility, awareness, connection, ease, stillness, silence, and most importantly to learn how to flow on, as well as off, your mat. Each class welcomes all levels so that anyBODY can be a part of our community, practice yoga, and experience the state of I AM.
We host various community experiences throughout the year with our AM Community Club, a unique AM offering that partners with organizations to host classes in some of the greatest venues and organizations around town. Join us for our Foundations class to learn all you need to know to start (or continue) your yoga practice.
Our classes are for ages 16+. If the student is under 18, a legal parent or guardian must come into the studio on or before their first class to fill out paperwork. From our experience we have learned that it is best to allow the body to warm up from your practice not from an external source. We teach you how to use your breath and body to warm you from the inside out, not the opposite.

I shopped around a few studios before landing here, and I am so grateful. I began with the Vinyasa-yin classes because I was looking for a yin or restorative practice to ease my way back into yoga after a long break. I love all the instructors, and their commitment to breath and body work. If you’re new to yoga, I recommend the vinyasa-yin classes because they’re smaller... but I love every class I have been to. I am constantly reminded to breathe, to try and remain present, to practice with grace, and to take what I need from the 60-90 minutes I am there. They also have kids yoga weekly during

I took a hot vinyasa class here. The class was difficult but it felt awesome. A great way to get into a positive mindset for Mondays! It was a workout but the temperature was great for my muscles to relax and stretch out.
I've been to a number of yoga classes, including hot vinyasa and Bikram. The flow in this class is challenging but refreshing. And the instructor is knowledgeable. Would recommend getting there early to find a good spot, the studio is popular! The studio is clean and the staff/instructors are friendly.
They offer an awesome intro deal where you can get a first free class

Great, clean studio with friendly staff! I forgot to catch her name, but the girl at the desk Tuesday AM was very helpful.
I was in town for a day and needed to get my yoga fix and I'm so glad I came here. The Vinyasa class really gets you moving, and is perfect if you prefer faster paced classes. The 10-minute meditation afterwards is a nice touch and relaxing way to wind down.
Would definitely visit again the next time I'm in GRR!

Not my favorite studio. I've been practicing for over 10 years and have been to many studios and experienced many different styles of teaching. While I appreciate the energy each instructor brings, the flows (in the vinyasa/power/jAM classes) are simply way too fast to practice safe alignment and form, even for a seasoned yogi, and this class is advertised for all levels! I can't even imagine how a newer yogi would feel during those classes. The instructor also don't offer any hands-on assistance which really bums me out. Similar to Funky Buddha, they rarely use traditional Sanskrit language and

I can't say enough great things about AM. I've been practicing yoga on and off for about 7 years at various studios. After attending some of their community yoga events (yoga at the GRAM, Donkey Taqueria, Vander Mill, Moosejaw) I finally checked out the studio with a friend who had been there a few times. They have a great, large space with a few changing rooms and plenty of cubby space and coat hooks. The front desk staff is really friendly and super helpful if you're new.

The studio is clean and devoid of clutter and distractions. The instructors and staff are friendly, courteous and professional. Their candor fosters a sense of trust.
The classes are simultaneously challenging as well as accessible. I had never practiced yoga in my life and was able to comfortably immerse myself without feeling awkward or out of place.
I highly recommend giving this studio a shot whether you are advanced or new to yoga.
I always leave with a feeling of accomplishment, levity and a clear mind (as well as a limber and well honed body).

Hands down one of my favorite places in Grand Rapids.
AM Yoga has kept me balanced and sane throughout my first two years of medical school and I couldn't be more grateful. The staff has been consistently friendly and encouraging and positive vibes all around without being fake.
I love the 60 minute Vinyasa classes, they're the perfect balance of a stretch and strength training workout and I always feel challenged but relaxed by the end of class.
If you're looking for deeper longer stretches then the Yin Vinyasa is great for that.
They also have meditation classes for those who

I was dreading traveling because I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to honor the promise I made to myself to practice at least 5 times a week... I know I know, I can do yoga by myself... But where's the fun in that without all of the wonderful collective energy of fellow yogis?!
Thankfully I found AM Yoga only a mile and a half away from my hotel, the perfect ubering distance.
First off, what a beautiful space!!! I love the asana room, the artwork and the reminder front and center I AM: Sadhana (daily spiritual practice) + satsung (sacred gathering) + seva (selfless service).

AM Yoga has found its permanent home on the west side! 555 4th Street, Suite 200. They have two spaces: one for asana (yoga) and one for meditation. They offer early morning classes and evening classes to fit everyone's schedule. You can sign up for classes online and memberships are reasonably priced, especially since it's not just a yoga studio, you get all the benefits of guided meditation as well. There's ample parking in an attached lot along with free street parking.

Ashley and Mali are truly two of the most beautiful and fun souls that walk this planet. They are very serious with their passion for Yoga and how wonderful it can be for EVERYONE. Don't get that twisted with them being very serious people ha- there is a misconception that Yoga has to be serious and quiet and stiff, well they are here to break that stereotype.
They have two rules and one of them is to have fun. Literally when they are guiding you through poses, they tell you to smile, they say funny things, they encourage you to dance a little and have as much fun as you want! No pressure
