We are a dental practice devoted to restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of your smile using conservative, state-of-the-art procedures that will result in beautiful, long lasting smiles! I graduated at the Dental Assisting Program at College of Alameda in 2008 and started working here at Piedmont Dental by Design right after graduation. I worked as an assistant for many years until recently I have transitioned up front to work as Patient Services Manager.
My many years in the back caring for patients chair side has helped me in my new role of Patient Services Manager in helping educate patients on their oral health and I have a better understanding of how the practice works together front and back.When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids at family get-togethers, camping, and visiting fun places.

A preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions. Preventing dental disease starts at home with good oral hygiene and a balanced diet.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.

Such a special group of professionals. Dr. Jill Martensen is a gem. Very skillful and excellent communicator. Other dentists consistently compliment the work she’s performed for me when I’ve had to have other services performed like orthodontics etc. Michelle will clean your mouth like you’ve never imagined and make you feel like your mouth went to the spa. I loved my experience here. From the tech who did my X-rays to the doctor (who was so thorough and pleasant) to my dental hygienist Michelle (she did a fantastic job at cleaning my teeth). Everyone here was great. I filled out all my paperwork online before the visit. I was explained the charges and anything extra that was needed or added on before the services. You pay up front and they file the claim through your dental insurance. Grateful to have found this gem
