I have had an incredible experience so far living here. My application process was spearheaded by Demeka, who was very responsive and kind the entire time. In the few weeks I have lived in my place, I have no complaints. For apartments built in the 1960s (at least for the floor plan I have), I think these are very nice apartments that I look forward to continuing to live in.

I've only been here for a month now and it's been amazing. This is the best apartment I've had so far. The move in process was hassle free and quick. The complex is quiet and clean. Maintenance is quick and proactive. The office staff are very friendly and professional. I love the style and space of my 2 bedroom townhouse. There are strict but very much necessary rules for parking. I would highly recommend this complex.

I've lived in various apartments in the complex over the past eight years, and they're pretty outstanding. I've been living in a one bedroom (in the three story configuration, not the single story ones), and there is concrete in between each unit, and each floor, so I've genuinely never heard my neighbors. The same is true of the studio apartments.
I've been recording music in the massive walk-in closets, and always ask my neighbors if they hear anything, which they don't. It's absurd in the best way. The amount of space you get, and the really competitively low rent price is excellent. Maintenance

I've lived here for 2 years and have nothing bad to say. The few times I've needed to contact maintenance they've responded very quickly. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are well maintained. The price is in line with other similar apartment complexes nearby. I have no intentions to leave in the near future.

Originally was a 2 star review. Not sure why? I didn’t press anything. But when we lived here it was great. Office staff was great and our apartment was nice for the price. Maintenance issues were always handled timely and professionally. They’ve had the same management company for at least 10 years and the property manager does a great job. She’s also been there for a while and knows what she’s doing. Would definitely recommend moving here.

Tina (the manager) was making up excuses every time that I go to sign the contract just because she didn't want me to rent there! Instead of focusing on my studies I go to the office every day to see if I would rent it this month or not. I don't know what is wrong with me to ignore me. All I got from them is disrespect and dishonesty. If there is a zero, I would rate them with it.

I honestly wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone. My furnace died 6 times last winter before they finally replaced it. Turns out that furnace was from the 1960's. I lost hours at work each time they came over to fix it. The maintenance guy was super friendly, so that's a plus.
Also, they have a tow policy where if you don't have a parking pass they have hired an outside tow company to take your vehicle. My gf came to visit and I was unpacking her car. I

Moved in August of 2019, enjoyed my year here. My kids loved it as well. I did not expect to get any of my deposit back (I've heard most apartment complexes keep it over little issues). I moved out August 2020 and received almost my full deposit yesterday. The 2 times I had to call for maintenance, they were quick and efficient. The ladies in the office were always polite and helpful. If I wasn't moving in with my boyfriend i definitely would have stayed longer. Thank you Yorktown associates for the wonderful experience.

NEVER live in Yorktown Colony apartments. I am not one to complain, but we have had issue after issue after issue. Whether it's maintenance issues, or them LOOSING my lease. And yes. I'm dead serious someone called and told me they misplaced my lease. It's ridiculous. I was told Thursday my maintenance issue would be fixed this past Saturday. It's now Monday and still not fixed, I called the office to yet again, see what is taking so long, and this woman had the audacity to act like it was my fault. This is a wonderful apartment complex in this area. l have lived here for 1.5 years and could continue living here. l currently live in the 2 bedroom 1.5 bath townhome so there is plenty of space here for two people. The unit is well maintained, although nothing too fancy and can see some wear and tear but definitely comfortable to live and does its job. Prices are really affordable. My unit seems very spacious, with tons of kitchen cabinetry. I think my apartment was OKAY. I lived in the one br ranch style apartment. although i could rarely hear my neighbors next door and behind me, The walls to the outside are VERY thin and i could hear EVERYTHING. My maintenance issues were always taken care of quickly. i think this was a safe place to live. the apartment was also clean when i moved in. I am moving now because rent is being raised and i personally dont think that particular floor plan is worth more that $550 a month.

Well let me tell you this about this complex...they partner with a tow company (Cottman's Towing) that will tow your kids big wheel if it is left out after 9 pm. My 1st Sgt came to my house in and actual crisis to assist me and he was towed. Grant it there are signs at the entrance but someone has never been there these could easily be overlooked. Bottom-line it's cheap to but when they tow you pay.

How often do you find a 4 bedroom apartment for less than a grand? That was the biggest plus to this apartment complex for me. Second was its close proximity to Wright Patterson Air Force Base...you're literally 5 minutes from work. Unfortunately, that also means you're 5 minutes from east Dayton. The complex itself is...safe-ish. It's comprised almost entirely of military folk and (often VERY loud and obnoxious) college kids. A large apartment community that has residents that range from college students, military, and families. The complex is older but well-maintained. The prices are cheaper than what you find in other areas of the city. The floor plans are spacious.
The only drawback that some may find objectionable is its location. Yorktown is only a couple of miles from the near-east side of Dayton which is extremely rundown. However I find the location very acceptable because it is close to Wright-Patt and there is nothing unsafe about the area that we have experienced in our three year stay.
