Our story begins over 30 years ago when Artistic Beads & Studio operated in Hollywood, CA as Artistic Hand Beading. For years famous couture fashion designers sought out our skilled beading and we were honored to serve iconic performing artists such as Michael Jackson, Cher, Neil Diamond, Lionel Richi, Stevie Wonder; classic Las Vegas acts including Siegfried and Roy, Jubilee, Phantom of the Opera; and timeless designers Galanos, Bob Mackie, Nolan Miller and many others.

I would not have thought that so much could go into craft beads, but as soon as I walked into their store right on Main St, Placerville, I was taken back by the beauty of their wares. The owners come from a line of successful beaders and it shows!
Their products are handmade with care, yet even more fun is that they offer classes to make your own craft bead jewelry. I'd love to return to make a date out of creating my own craft beads.
For now, I will be proudly showing off their beautiful handmade Hummingbird for years to come.

This place has wall to wall beads - a great stop for anyone who loves to craft. I'm one of those, and I love to support small businesses, so when I visited my sister and she told me about this place, I knew I had to stop in. The owner is wonderfully sweet and was extatic to help me out and to share her story. This store has history, and deserves to be experienced and appreciated by anyone in or stopping through Placcerville!

I absolutely LOVE this shop and am thoroughly enjoying the evolution of their online presence! I tune in every Sunday to the live sale on Instagram. It is so fun and Krystel is incredibly knowledgeable about the stones she is selling. I can hear in her voice and feel how much she cares about her shop and her customers. It truly amazes me that she can keep up with each order and gets me an invoice the next day and shipped out immediately! I love my beautiful stones and tend to let Krystel "pick me the best one" if there are multiples. I can appreciate the passion she has shared with us in resurrecting

Fantastic bead shop with a great selection of stringed, individual beads, tools and more. Good beads shops are becoming more and more scarce these days, & although it's easy to buy things online, nothing beats the charm of seeing it for yourself under one roof. Purchased some nice bead storage containers and some thick colored chord for knotting. Great place!
