We visited the historic Victor Hotel with some of our family members who live in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the proprietors who graciously showed us around and shared some history about the building! We were camping in our 5th wheel so we didn't stay the night; however, I definitely would have if I were in need of lodging. The hotel quite unique and well worth a visit!

My wife and I had a wonderful 2 night stay here. It was clean and had the perfect little corner view of the mountains and towns. This is ideal to get away from the city. Although they are doing a major remodel on most of the building, they have done a great job. The old elevator adds a nice touch and is operational. The town is small so not much to eat or do after hours but it was a peaceful 2 nights. Would stay here again

This is a really unique, awesome place. I stayed here with my husband and we had to sleep in separate twin beds but it was fun. It was the only room they had left that night because they were super busy. But it was a lot of fun and I love the old style. I felt like I had gone back in time. We didn't even have our own bathroom but it didn't matter. It was really a great experience.

A few weeks back my family were traveling through cripple creek and gambled for a while we decided to stay out there and just enjoy the rest of the weekend in that area. The other hotels were booked and we came… across your hotel and not only there was two families in front of us waiting to see someone for a room they were waiting for some time we gave it about 10 min we were all like hello is anyone here to help. We felt that we shouldn't stay here anyway the conditions the lobby was in we couldn't imagine what the rooms looked like. I would think the conditions would be better after coming

Outstanding stay. Fantastic rooms, old architecture and well kept. Three night stay. Bill, the clerk, agent, bartender is excellent. He is gracious to all the guests. Very knowledgeable about the history of the building. Built in 1898 as a hospital and an active Hospital for 75 yrs. Has many stories of it being haunted. You can look up its haunting stories on Facebook, Google, and YouTube. Outstanding..

Really enjoyed our stay here. At 10500 ft, if you're not acclimated it can be a bit breathy but a pizza and a few cocktail's at the bar will set you right again. Don't forget that they do roll up the streets very early in Victor. Loved the beds and pillows. The hot water in the shower will leave a memory or a second degree burn but I'd stay there again and again if they could figure out the door lock system. But it's a gorgeous hotel.

I had a great stay! I was so impressed when the owner brought me a weighted blanket. That was after I asked for their heaviest comforter bc I typically sleep with a weighted blanket. I never thought they would actually bring me one! The bed was very comfy with nice sheets and pillows. The exposed brick is gorgeous. The whole building feels like a really cool old Victorian. I had a very restful time for my Mother’s Day gift to myself ;)

Terrible service. We had an emergency and our car BROKE DOWN with no cell phone signal hours before our reservation. When we finally got signal, we called and called the hotel to let them know we had to make changes to the reservation. They didn't answer for an hour, and when they finally did, they REFUSED to help in ANY WAY. Absolutely NO service or help. Don't go them, they charged our card anyway and didn't care about our emergency or our situation. AWFUL!!!!!

Buyer Beware
I booked a room at the Victor Hotel on Booking.com. When I arrived I was informed that my room was up the street at the Olympia Hotel. I had expected a romantic weekend at a quaint historic hotel. What I experienced was a night in a twin bed at a hostel caliber establishment.
The staff blamed the issue on Booking.com. I contacted Booking.com to complain, and they told me that they post the property based on the information provided by the proprietor.
Make sure you contact the hotel to verify that you are actually staying at the Victor and not the Olympia!

The room they gave us was NOT what my husband booked online nor was it even close ti the pictures....not even in the right building!!! No service, no one at the front desk. My husband booked a room at the VICTOR. We went to check in and there is NO ONE at the desk. Just keys in an envelope hanging on a wall. We weren't even given a room at the Victor, it was a building down the block called the Olympia. You had to go up a flight plus of stairs, the whole place stunk of stale weed, the rooms were tiny and hot, with no window, no vents, no AC, nothing. (And no escape if it would have burned

In order to give a review of the hotel, I'd need to actually stay there, which was the plan for this last Saturday, June 30. We had two rooms reserved, booked months in advance and guaranteed with a credit card. Arrangements were made (and confirmed days prior) for a late arrival following a wedding in a nearby town. The newlyweds booked the… Honeymoon suite and a second room for us, as we were driving them from the reception to the Victor Hotel. As we were preparing to leave the venue, the bride checked her phone and discovered a missed call from the hotel. A voicemail was left around 6pm

Stayed here because I like historic properties. the Victor is beautifully restored plus modern amenities like plenty of hot water. It is comfortable, clean, and the staff are welcoming. Hotel restaurant not much in evidence(early May) but there are places to eat in town.
Classic elevator that works perfectly. Price was right also and there are some spectacular mountain views from the rooms.
Would definitely return

Beautiful building, beautiful setting! The staff is welcoming and wonderful! The bird cage elevator is an experience in itself; it is so fun to enjoy 100+ yo history. The new Side Door Restaurant and Lounge is a fantastic addition. Cindy's homemade lasagna was delicious! We will absolutely stay again.

Walking into this hotel - and town - is like taking a step back in time to 1899 when the entire town was rebuilt after a fire. The hotel and the town are unsophisticated, but in a very charming way, and the people are friendly and happy to tell you tales. Don't expect a ritzy hotel experience. It is clean and comfortable, but not posh. The location within the tiny town of Victor is convenient to restaurants, shopping, bars, and the town museum.

We came on a night when they did a paranormal ghost hunt, and granted the hotel was empty, it was perfect. I loved the old charm that the owners did not change. Sure the noise insulation isn't the greatest, but what would you expect in an old hotel? I would rather stay here than go to Cripple Creek and spend the night in a hotel where the casino travelers are possibly drinking and being loud. Ok, I'll get back to this hotel. It's a hotel that when you walk in the lobby you can feel and see the charm that makes Victor unique. There's a handful of photos that line the walls so
