I took over an existing on-site fitness center that was in need of some TLC. It was only 1,700 square feet with 12-foot ceilings, but I could see a diamond in the rough. Over the first few months I replaced or refurbished most of the equipment, did some cosmetic work, and installed new video & audio systems.
It started out as a facility that I could privately train my personal clients in, and provide membership options to those that lived and worked on the Pepperell Mill Campus. After a short time, as word started to spread via social media, I started having friends inquire about membership options.

If you know what you're doing, and what you're doing is weightlifting, go here. This place has real squat racks, real iron, plenty of bars, strongman equipment, the works.
Feels '90s. I can see Ronnie Coleman lifting in a place like this.
If you need something other than weights and conditioning, honestly go somewhere else. If you need weightlifting, this is the place.

Super pleased with the space, equipment, owner, workers, and so on. As a professional mountain bike racer, the coaching, gear, race fees, nutrition, travel fees and all the other details gets expensive fast. I know other competitors and friends easily paying double for gym fees in order to have access to the same equipment and the high ceiling space. I’ve even worked out here (lightly) during pregnancy and nobody gave me a hard time, mostly a thumbs up and positive reinforcement. It’s a great community.

If you like the 1980's & 1990's, this is the place for you! Outdated equipment and design. IFC was once a great gym to train and be a part of a fitness community, but now, the owner does not care about their business. Dirty workout area and bathrooms are horrendous, machines broken, staff unprofessional.

Was visiting Old Orchard beach a few weeks ago and needed a place to workout. All the places I reached out to either didn’t respond or didn’t have an option for a day or week pass, except for Impact. This gym has everything I needed and more. Scott went out of his way to ensure I had everything I needed and was just all around a great guy! Recommend this to anyone who needs a gym to train at for the week, or full time!

I was reluctant to leave my YMCA membership after 2 years of loyalty, however joining Impact Fitness was the best decision I've made for my personal health and fitness in years. Superb facility with ample training options from free-weights, machines to personal trainers and classes. Professional staff and welcoming, non-judgemental culture. The owner is completely passionate and dedicated to his vision. Grateful to have such a gem in the neighborhood.

Very disappointed with my recent experience. When the trainer I’d been training with was no longer available I was unable to get a refund. All while I was in the mist of a close family members death. I bought he sessions to train with a specific person and now she’s not there. I think it’s wrong to not get a refund.

I can’t even begin to say enough about this facility and the community driven, hard working, passionate people that run it. Scott Fluerant is a more than exceptional owner and is actually invested in the people who train there, gets to know people on an individual level, and welcomes anyone and everyone. This gym is like a second home to me and I can’t say enough how grateful I am that I came across it and joined. Highly recommended, come on in and see how a REAL fitness center should be kept and run! Xo
