I am reviewing Peter Derry, and the sales side of things. I worked with Peter ten years ago on the sale of duplex, and it went pretty well. We also looked at commercial property which I did not go for. When I had a real estate issue pop up in Summerville, SC, being out of town, I contacted Peter (now at Hayden Jennings Properties). He was responsive, helpful, frank, and showed leadership and character. I also think he is a pleasure to be around. Overall one of the best Realtors out there.

I had a decent experience with my 12 month lease and never really interacted with the landlord so I have no complaints with that experience and am glad the house maintained well enough that I never had to reach out to the landlord. That being said, the deductions from my security deposit were so dramatic and unjustifiable it feels like theft. This house was really just used as a place to sleep and there was no wear and tear on the home. We had a $600+ deduction from ink spill that one of their contractors caused and was entirely out of control. Furthermore, when we tried to inquire with our landlord

It’s sad that some people can not see past the end of their nose.
I owned at 21 George from 2007-2021 and served in the board when Hayden Jennings was selected as management company. The main reason was because of Michael and his endless work he does for the building. He is on top of problems and will work with vendors to find solutions. Sometimes people have to be patient because this does not happen overnight.
Michael is the best pm of all the condos I have owned.

For the past five years, our family has rented a house for the month of October, and lucky for us Michael with Hayden Property Management has been our primary contact.
The house and property have always been in pristine condition! Michael takes the time to go through the AV components of the house, and on the rare occasion something came up (ran out of propane, running toilet etc) Michael has been incredibly responsive and professional!
Highly Recommended!

Hope this doesn't create drama, but any poor review should be dismissed - particularly if it's a complaint about flooding in downtown Charleston. HJP is 100% professional and timely in their response. 21 George has always been well maintained, safe, and clean. Things can happen, sure, and when they have HJP have been on top of it as quickly as they can.

We owned a unit in 21 George from 2009 until last month. Hayden Jennings whose point person was Michael Ouzts took over property management in 2015. Although, Michael worked directly for the HOA prior to the engagement of Hayden Jennings

My primary interface for the last four years at Hayden Jennings Properties has been Michael Ouzts, HOA Manager. Michael always presents a cheerful and willing attitude in responding to my concerns and suggestions; despite the multiple tasks he has to juggle and placating what can be a demanding audience of owners.
With the recent and massive renovation of our condo buildings and then the impact of the pandemic, Michael has kept his cool and focus in working with the Board to overcome some of the legacy problems that are quite annoying for everybody.

I am in disbelief at Hayden Jennings Properties. It is indeed a property mismanagement company.
I lived in Daniels Landing from 2010 to 2017 before they were managed by HJP. I could not have been more happy with my experience there. It was run professionally, efficiently and with respect to the tenants. When my daughter and her family wanted to move into the property to rent I was thrilled...until the move in. Once I saw how HJP treated her and her family I was appalled. They didn't respond and ignored serious repair requests. On their move in day for example one toilet didn't work at

A very below average property management company. They get stuff done, sometimes. Other times, they don't, and you're just left wondering if they're ignoring you. Communication can be good sometimes, and other times, it's nonexistent. As a renter, they were not fun to deal with. They are very unorganized and don't put in much effort to help tenants out. I had to manually search down basic information that they were clueless about when we first moved in. As a property manager, I wouldn't trust them to care for my property the way they probably say that they will.

I am 24 and have lived in over 5 houses renting over since graduating college and have never had a company treat its tenants so poorly. They will try to charge you for stuff that isn't your fault, and lie about it. We took them to court 2 times and both times we won. Hayden seems like a nice guy but is a complete scam artist. We loved the house that they rented to us but would never live there again because of this company.... 0/5

WARNING WARNING Whether you're renting or have a house you'd like them to manage STAY AWAY. Our initial roommates backed out of the lease, my boyfriend and I were able to cover all fees and charges as well as finding two roommates to take their spots within a month. Hayden Jennings's did everything they could to hinder this process and straight up lied to us on multiple occasions about our rights even though we did everything possible to make this work. All to just make more money off the exuberant fees they kept tacking on despite knowing we were doing everything short of using

Hayden Jennings has managed our rental property in Long Point for nearly two years now, and we have found them to be outstanding. They respond immediately to any issue, they've been great at communicating, and we've always felt as though they truly care about any concerns we've had. It's tough to live several states away during hurricane season, but they have always kept us in the loop and constantly check on our house. They have been wonderful!
