Palmetto State are not the worst leasing company, but they are far from exemplary.
Unit was not cleaned prior to move in and other contractual agreements were ignored. The general state of the unit at move in was pretty reprehensible - dirty floors, walls chipped, a flooded dishwasher that smelled rancid, and a door that was broken open and a broken window that I was told "would be repaired eventually" (in my 2 years there, it never was). Unfortunately, maintenance was not available to address the door issue for a few days.

I have heard all good things from people that have rented from them. I decided to go with this company and I am glad I did , I was shown many rentals that were all nice they are all well maintained and super move in ready clean. From the first phone call to palmetto state to the day i bought my own home they were very knowledgeable polite and professional. 5 stars wish it could be more, you all deserve it with all your hard work and devotion. I highly recommend Chris and the entire team at Palmetto State Properties & Associates both for managing your property and for selling when the time comes! They managed my property for more than 5 years and I was extremely happy with the level of care and attention I received. Chris Alfonso and his Palmetto State team have been stellar managers of our Mount Pleasant home. They had it rented within three weeks of our purchase in 2016, and the home has remained fully occupied without interruption. As importantly, Palmetto State provides a detailed monthly accounting and conducts periodic maintenance inspections for the benefit of both tenants and owner. They are just nice people who have proven to be indispensable.
