I had my car towed while visiting a friend. I was not in a handicapped spot or a fire lane. I was not near any apartment. It was over $300 to get my car back. The car was taken within an hour. There is a sign saying 24 towing(not clear that there is no non-resident parking). Another faded sign blocks the towing this sign. I am not sure what it says. If you live here you will have your car or a visiting friend's car towed. There is no Visitor parking. If there is, it is not marked. My friend later told me that another friend had his car towed while he was helping move. The car was towed after less

Live here for a while now. still seems like a good place to live.
1. I like this place's value and room space. Price is reasonable.
2. And I think the management and worker' working attitude are great! no big problems here. They will email you every time if the facility needs repair.
but find some small problems.
1. no washer or dryer in 2/3 bedrooms apartment. laundry room.
2. if you live at first floor. careful about the noise from upstairs.
3. nobody is at work.
4. bad internet. ping always more than 500ms. F rate- very poor line quality!

I live at Woodcreek Townhomes, which is owned by the same people as Balcones. And I LOVE it. I'm a grad student and was looking for something quieter and away from campus to avoid the party scene. This place is perfect. Noise from neighbors is minimal, and most of the time, I can't hear anything at all. I've seen everything from old married couples, to newlyweds, to even families with kids. It's definitely reasonable for the price and have been completely renovated..I think it looks brand new! Management (Kayleigh) is super nice and helpful for whatever you need. No super nice amenities like pools

I've lived here for a year now and its been a satisfying experience. Yes, the buildings are old but its a value place. You shouldn't come to this place looking for something without even some squeaks on the floor considering this place is older than most of the college students around.
The staff is very friendly and nice and responds to work orders at a reasonable time. However, I've had issues with heater unit and asked multiple times but it wasn't properly fixed which resulted in doubled electricity bill the months it was cold (while having a cold house to live in).
