Honestly. This place is very nice, physically. But the space you have for the price is insane. Make sure to add the $325 parking fee to your rent. They get you there, and there's no where cheaper to park nearby. They never pick up the phone, so e-mail if you have questions. Make sure you check out what your apartment looks like specifically, I was shown an apartment with a nice view and tons of space only to be given something much smaller with a view of the courtyard and parking garage. I lived here for 1 year from July 2020- August 2021 and must say I left deeply disappointed. They sell you on the 2 months half off deal and understate the hidden fees. Parking alone was $250 a month.
I overpaid to stay here while not being able to break the lease because of their insane fees.
To move out I was charged $500 extra for a couple of days. They kept my ENTIRE deposit and on top of that even CHARGED me the rest.
I left the place earlier than the final move out

I want to thank Shane, Jonathan and the 800J Lofts staff for making our cross country move so easy and wonderful!! The level of service and support from day one was exceptional!! Since we were relocating from Florida it was challenging and scary to do this all virtually! I have to say that Shane was so great and went above and beyond to help us in every way possible. We really couldn’t have done this without him and the team!! It feels amazing to know we can California and 800J Lofts home! Thanks guys for being so amazing.

Shane made our viewing and application experience pleasant and easy. He communicated with us throughout the process, was very responsive and super helpful. Renting an apartment is a stressful process but Shane made it easy. The property is stunning and the unit is modern. Thank you Shane!

I lived here for over six months and tried my best to stay away from home as much as possible. I am only writing this review because I looked at the unit I had and it's going for $1000 MORE THAN I WAS PAYING just a month ago.
They did not let me view the unit beforehand and made several promises they did not keep. They said COVID was the reason they won't show you the unit but they don't enforce their own COVID rules so I am not buying that one.
They did not reserve an elevator for me as promised when I moved in, the loading

As a former resident of 800J Lofts I would like to recount my experience. Terrible property management, Deanna Bonney will not return calls or emails. I moved out on May 26, 2020 and here it is Sep 9, 2020 and I'm still owed a portion of my security deposit. If not for COVID-19 I would have already been to Small Claims court. The portion of my security deposit that was returned took 41 days. CA law is 21 days.

I have never had as many issues with any apartment than I have with this place. Constant false information is given until someone owns up to it weeks to months later. It's impossible to get a hold of anyone in management. Pre-covid this was happening. During covid I understand to a certain extent, but when it takes weeks to get a hold of anyone, it becomes outright ridiculous. Would not recommend anyone moving in.

I still, let me emphasize, STILL, have not heard from current management about my move out. They still have not provided my move in inspection or fixed incorrect charges. This company is still sending me collections notices. No phone call or fixing the issue. But they have time to write a really nice response to my review though. That is also false.

I recently moved from Florida to Sacramento unexpectedly and needed to find and secure a nice apartment super fast. I found 800 J and worked with Lourdes who confirmed I could come in to tour apartments 15 minutes after we initially spoke.
The technology offered worked smoothly and I was able to apply online even before I arrived onsite. When I arrived I toured the model and available apartment while Lourdes completed the approval process, and just like that everything was done!!

Been staying since December and overall I enjoy it. It's an apartment complex at the end of the day, you'll have some inconveniences; but management handles everything that's within their control very well. Maintenance team is really good. Downtown does have some other issues but once again outside of the buildings control and should be followed up on with local government.

Update staying at one star, the "number" you listed is for leasing and no one can get in contact with a manager. If it's this difficult before leasing I can only imagine how crappy it would be as a tenant.
Whoever this Jackie person is working today should probably find another profession since customer service isn't something she knows how to provide. Most reviews of this complex pertain to a different management company. The people in there now are relatively new.
In its current state, this place is a SCAM. Be cautious renting units from here, this office will bait you into signing a lease with false promises. They also don't let you view units before you rent them, they instead show you a model unit and guarantee you that the unit you are getting will be similar.
Long story short:
I signed a lease for a 2x2 after viewing the model unit 3 times and speaking with the PM Deanna and other people in the leasing office on numerous occasions

I looked a long time for an upscale apartment complex that was friendly and responsive. I found it at J Lofts! Sarah the property manager is always polite and incredibly responsive. The property goes out of its way to foster a community atmosphere that is increasingly rare in a downtown building.
My apartment itself is amazing. The floor plan is spacious but also served an an oasis when I return from work.

Let me just start with an I feel statement: I feel that this property or Community if you will, has an engorged sense of entitlement and in my experience are quite fraudulent. My husband, myself, and our dog were relocated temporarily to California early last fall. Not knowing the area we chose to rent to get a feel for it. We expressed this to realtors and management of communities along with this one. We were reassured that everything would be smooth and that they are very flexible. Since it has been 9 months living at 800 J I thought I would update my review regarding my experience.
There were changes in management. Sarah is the new PM and so wonderful. She has brought the community closer by hosting events and doing little things to show appreciation for all the tenants. She genuinely cares that everyone is comfortable and happy here. Her positivity and easy going personality are a breath of fresh air I think this community needed. Completely unrelated, she is the cutest thing ever and always looks pulled together.

I moved here last month and let me start by saying, I freakin love it here!! I absolutely love the vibes of everyone I've met so far. Everyone seems to be happy and busy doing their own thing.
What stood out the most to me and what I'm mostly thankful for though is Sarah, Michele and Austin! Every one from the front desk to maintenance and security has been nothing but amazing to me. I really do look forward to the small chats that I have with Austin and Sarah in the morning. Overall they're all very happy people and you can tell they love their job and enjoy what they do and that

This place blew me away from the moment I stepped in. I'm always greeted with warm smiles and positive vibes. The location is perfect! Everything is walking distance and being an avid Kings fan, I'm literally a 5 min walk from the arena!
The lofts are spacious and I love the high rise ceilings. Surprisingly it's a lot quieter than expected being that it is in the heart of downtown!

I lived here for a year and a half. This place is overpriced, you do not get your money's worth at all. The walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbors doing anything. The front office changed 3 times from me being there and I'm unsure what they actually do. I was told that if I put down my deposit today I would get my apartment for (this cost). Later to get a phone call that the price went up $75 and if I could not provide paperwork with the price that I was promised there was nothing they could do. Luckily I held on to the paperwork. They do not keep their word at all. Tenants

My cousin got an apartment here and was told how nice and beautiful and QUIET it is...
First night he couldn't fall asleep because of the homeless people outside screaming yelling...
Around 2-3 AM bunch of people wore super loud inside the apartment...
Similar thing happened the second night he still couldn't get any sleep....
And the third...
Management is ignorant irresponsible very unprofessional lied about several things including noise level and couple other things
