BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO LIVE HERE KEEP READING!! I just submitted my 10th request in the past 50 days for the air conditioning in my apartment to be fixed.
The staff has been courteous, but the issue hasn't been addressed as I have been assured numerous times it will be. Comments such as "we are going to keep an eye on it and add Freon daily if needed", "we will get up and change the condenser coil in the rain if we have to", and "if we dont have it fixed by tomorrow, do what you need to do on google and BBB" have been made.
So here I am for the 10th time in 50 or so days in an apartment that cost

Walls are thin...I hear everything my neighbor does. You can hear when people open and close the doors since they make loud noises and people slam the doors. A lot of college kids have moved in making the pool super crowded and loud. I would suggest living not by the pool with the music they blast. I would also look to see if any neighbors have cameras outside their door. There is someone on my floor with a camera looking at the elevator and I feel awkward every time waiting for the elevator. They do not allow a lot of things on the balcony but they let you have things all over the doors so keep

These apartments are amazing! Clean and beautiful! I must say the staff here is amazing, especially Steve Pearson! He goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect for the tenants! My daughter moved in a couple of months ago (first time living in the big city) and I felt so much better after meeting him!

While helping a friend coordinate an out of town move to 4700 Colonnade I worked with Andrea and the staff to tour the apartments and ensure that they were clean, safe and well maintained. We not only found a great apartment for my friend, the staff went out of their way to accommodate my friend’s needs and her move. I would highly recommend 4700 Colonnade to anyone who wants to live in a complex located in an upscale, safe and convenient Birmingham neighborhood.

If you’re going to live here, I highly suggest the top floor. The ceilings/floors are so thin you can hear EVERYTHING your upstairs neighbor does. I currently feel like I live below a nightclub. Bringing this to the attention of management has done me no good. I emailed a complaint back in October and never even got a response. I have spoken to management in person. I have also called the after hours number. Nothing has changed. I’m breaking my contract early. I understand this is an apartment and you might hear noise occasionally, but this is unacceptable. I do not recommend this complex. There are nicer ones in the area. The management is poor and isn’t helpful at all. They seem to have turnover every couple of months so there is no continuity of care. It’s always loud. You hear your neighbors constantly. For the price, there are much better options.

First the staff is okay they changed management and you can already see the complex getting worse. The exit doors don't close all the way and they stay open so anyone can come in. The exit button had a clear plastic to prevent people from opening the door from the outside trainee they rushed development and placed the button right there and they haven't fixed that. I've seen several people reach in. They have let college kids move in and place "miller coors" light up sign outside their balcony...no words. On the weekends if you live by the pool they have crazy parties and

Maintenance is a nightmare here! The process of putting in a maintenance request is easy but actually getting a maintenance worker to your apartment is much more difficult. The air conditioner hasn't worked consistently since I moved in(it makes a crunching noise when it turns on and off--I was told this was normal), the smoke alarm started chirping Saturday night around 11:00pm(I was told maintenance can't come out until some time on Monday to investigate this--because it's not an emergency), amongst many other issues.
