Why see a neuropsychologist versus a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) or marriage, family therapist (MFT)? Years of additional rigorous study (two Masters plus a Doctor of Psychology degrees), internships, therapy sessions for myself (you can only take of clients as far as one has taken care of self) and hours listening to patients in a non-judgemental approach is who I am.

Most if not all people experience irrational thoughts. Unfortunately, some suffer extreme forms which unduly influence one's emotions. Anxiety and depression escalate the distortions. Examples include catastrophizing (only looking at the worst possible outcomes) and all-or-nothing thinking ( absolutes such as always, never or every).
