Our super deluxe rooms offer similarly grand baths. Our deluxe rooms are spacious and charming, the standards may have smaller private baths and queen beds but make up the difference in charm and character, and very special in their own way. Their is little to disappoint in our home, all our rooms have private baths, TV's, VCR's, a/c.
And king or queen beds, most have small refrigerators. The house and all the rooms are filled with period antiques, the front parlor has a TV/VCR and a very cozy fireplace. There is also a second floor setting area with TV, VCR & a vast video library. The paperback book library offers a wide variety of bedside reading material.

The property was on a quiet street just a couple blocks over from all the excitement of Hudson. Our room was spacious and the amenities were great for us. Barry was kind and accommodating. He made us a phenomenal breakfast sandwich before we left in the morning. If we end up back in Hudson in the future we would stay here again.

What to say about Barry and Hudson city B&B, look no further, you got it all!! (better say Eureka!!)
Fantastic stay, great location, amazing Victorian architecture with all the charm must-have.
The Host, Barry, is a real New Yorker, and when I say so, I mean the one with tons of stories to share and the one you love spend a few hours talking on the porch.
We planned a last-minute vacation, a few days out of the chaos of the city and we couldn't pick a better combination!

We booked a reservation over a month in advance and received an email confirmation. We called a week before our reservation because (also seen in Julie Na's review below) a deposit was never charged. Whether due to ignorance or malicious booking practices, we were told our room was no longer available due to a "leak". Even though the owner had all our contact info, we never received any emails or calls about this cancellation. The owner did attempt to offer an alternative accommodation (unfortunately one that did not work for us) but the lack of communication, notification, and explanation is bad

Barry is too sweet for words. He is present, helpful yet not overbearing. An incredible italiante victorian home close to Warren Street. I felt at home immediately, as soon as I opened the door to my spacious room. I never slept so well in my life! The rooms are clean, it has the feeling of being in a big mansion yet with a very humble touch. I will return again to get away form NYC! Thank you Barry Butterfield!

Very much enjoyed our time in Hudson and Barry was a most wonderful host. He cooked us a delicious breakfast.
The home was very charming and the beds were quite comfortable. Each bedroom room was chock-full of amenities and had its own full size bathroom.
Would very much recommend and only wish we had more time to spend there.

Thank you Barry for a wonderful experience staying there ! Gus & I loved the room we stayed in, it was very cozy ! Not to mention how welcome you made us feel, even Skye (my puppy) felt right at home ! The best part of our stay were those wonderfully delicious waffles you made each morning for us ! Visiting Hudson was awesome, the waterfront park, the restaurants, even the people were super friendly ! We'll definitely be coming back !
