You're paying to have access to their private beach. Each unit is privately owned, so each is decorated differently. I have stayed in Unit 5 the last 4 years and always found a roach or three crawling around the utensil drawers and/or the oven. It's not the cleanest or the best decorated, but the view of the beach and Gulf is great.

First off, I spent almost 45 minutes cleaning when we got there. In our 30+ years of traveling, I would have to say this was the most uncomfortable place we have stayed. We love the location, but it does not make up for the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in. We had to go to Walmart and purchase an eggshell topper so we could be "slightly" comfortable. The staff were soooo nice and helpful. The first apartment we stayed in (#16) had termite droppings all over the kitchen countertop. I kept wiping them up and they kept falling. The main issue really was that there were hot water

We LOVE Siesta Royale! Like other's have said, the Old Florida vibe has been a mainstay vacation spot for our family for nearly 20 years! I used to come as a high schooler with my parents, and now that I've got a family of my own, we all come!
If you know Siesta Key, you're familiar with the quartz beach that literally cannot be beat. I've been to Australia, Hawaii, California, etc. and there's nothing like Siesta sand. But in order to really enjoy your stay, you've gotta snag a spot right on the beach, close to the bridge, with maximum walking distance either direction

Stayed here many times in different units. Over the years, the facilities have gotten progressively worse and the customer service increasingly surly. The units are old and showing their age. The office staff is disinterested in helping guests or even addressing problems. I've spent my last night here.

I have been visiting Siesta Royale for a few years now. All the units are unique, as they have individual owners who show their personal taste in decor. Most rentals are walk-ins with no stairs to get into and out of the rentals. They also feature skylights in the kitchen and bathroom which brightens and opens up the space. All units are a short walk to the private beach which has numerous beach chairs and a small cabana. There is a shuffle board/pool area with bathroom as well.

The reason for this one star review is due to the fact they absolutely refuse to return our deposit on the two units we had reserved for April as we are unable to travel during this difficult time due to the corona virus. We have stayed here in the past and they were lovely people. During this time where people are stressed and they are not traveling and not because they don't want to but because they want to keep themselves and others safe. Their refusal to return deposits is a bit selfish in these unpredictable times. So disappointed in you Siesta Royale!

During this time of the coronavirus we cannot leave the state of Indiana! We have a stay at home order and marion county is closed, our flight is canceled we can't leave and this company wants to keep our money when everyone is out of work and struggling. I will be contacting the mayor of Florida and let them know how selfish this company is! They should be ashamed of themselves for stealing from people at a time like this! Boycott this company for what they have done during a crisis!

Do not expect any flexibility from the management....or worse yet any helpful health related information being shared. We were traveling with someone who has a severe pulmonary disease. They were in the middle of a high red tide (as in the dept of fisheries says no fishing allowed, persons with any lung issues or children should avoid the water and air in the area). They did not say anything to us. They just quoted their contract terms to us and had no remorse in charging us for 5 nights although we left after the 1st night.
I get the whole area needs the tourism. However it is inhumane and unethical

Our first time staying here and we have already booked again for next year. We were satisfied with the room and everything in it. The beach is right there in front of the building and they have chairs you can use. Met their security guy and he was so nice and helpful and very friendly. Some to the managers as well when we booked and they were very friendly as well. So glad we decided to give this place a try. And close to captn Curts

My family has been staying at Siesta Royale for a week every year for the past 40ish years. Every room is owned by a different family and is totally different than the rest. I recommend finding one you like and sticking with it, and staying right on the beach if you can. If you stay on the beach it's perfect being able to walk 20 feet and being right on the beach. The pools nice and they have really nice newly refinished shuffle board (it's a lot more fun than it sounds) and a newly redone parking lot that's all pavers so you won't burn your feet! Visited in late November 2016, Ocean front apartment. It has been about 5 years since we stayed here. Doubt if we will return to this facility, nearly all ocean front lodging is old, on Siesta Key, but most have been updated. Our unit was not updated and the entire facility needs updating in our opinion.
Too numerous to mention the issues regarding our unit, the staff is pleasant as was the beach, we rate the facility as a C minus. We believe our money would be better spent at another lodging facility at Siesta Key.

We have stayed in Unit #14 several times throughout the past few years, usually for a week at a time. The customer service is always amazing! Our room/unit is perfect for two people. The unit has a murphy bed which pulls out of the wall; I was surprised how comfortable it was! Everything we could ever need was included in the unit for amenities. Many other places on the beach don't offer such great value like this place does. Not only did we have our lovely ocean view from the unit, but there is a pool too! We have fun playing shuffleboard by the pool and chatting with other guests who stay
