This is me in a nutshell or at least one full of adjectives. I knew from an early age that I was destined to be in the beauty industry, more specifically the hair industry. Instead of playing house or tag, I was cutting my Barbie's hair and playing with my Mom's makeup. Now years later, I'm still cutting hair and applying makeup, which is a dream come true!

Since I moved to this area in 2013, I've tried more than a dozen stylists from Bastrop to New Braunfels to Austin. Vanessa is far and away THE best stylist of all of them. She LISTENS. Seriously, she listens to what you are actually telling her. Then she DOES what you tell her, with recommendations for what she thinks would make you look even better. She nailed my hair cut, going from shoulder length to short, on the first visit. The color she did is dead-on perfect. I've got more than 50 years of going to high-end, professional salons, I know what I want, and I've never been happier with a stylist

Was looking for a new salon that was more convenient for me to go to. I've always been very hesitant to try a new hairstylist which is why I stuck with my girl for 8 years. As much as I voided looking for a new salon due to my original stylist location, I found this one. Looked nice, had good reviews... I called twice and no one answered, the voicemail states to call or txt the number they provide. So I txt and I was told the next available was April 23 which was pretty much almost a month out. After months of researching hair salons I decided on this one, so glad I did!
I made an appointment and went in with not very high expectations just because it is so difficult to find a good hairdresser.
I scheduled my appointment with Vanessa, I initially made an appointment for a cut but once there I asked about color since I've been wanting to correct my brassy orange locks. She offer some options so I decided to go ahead with it and man oh man I am so glad I did!

I really have a hard time finding people who can cut my hair. It's dirty blonde and I have a lot of it. If the person doesn't know what they're doing, you can see every cut. I had to find another person to do my hair after my last stylist of over 14 years had some personal life challenges. My wife and daughter recommended Amy and I have gone to her 5 times now; every cut has been better than the last.

Okay guys! I've been seeing Sarah for several years now. Last October I made the mistake in going to great clips bc they were having a $5 haircut special, it has taken me until now (April) for my hair to grow back out. I cried for several days after bc of how horrible job great clips did (which I should have known). So I went back to Sarah today and asked for 1/2 in off with some layers. She told me you won't be able to notice much of a difference in length and I said that's perfect! The end result is beautiful, she never fails todo a awesome job. Not to mention her personality is

I have been seeing Vanessa for over 3 years now. From the beginning, all I really knew was that I wanted to be blonde. Everything else I pretty much leave up to her. And she does GREAT work with my baby fine hair. Would not even think about going elsewhere. It's super handy she's 5 minutes down the road from my house but I would make the drive if I needed to.

I've gotten my hair done at other places around the Central Texas area and have never had better service or as many compliments on my hair as I have since getting it done by Sarah Heath at V.Clay. My hair started out in a boring bob and 2 years later, she has styled me into gorgeous, multiple-faceted colored long curls. She knows exactly what works best with my type of hair and love how it looks weeks after a cut/color. My daughters and I love our hair cuts. I wouldn't trust anyone else with our hair and couldn't recommend her more!

Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to get my daughter's hair french braided for
prom. Almost an hour later and numerous attempts it looked like she had a cowlick on each side of her head (she never has). We took it down when we got home and she did a much better job herself. A very frustrating waste of $55

I love the cut, color, and service I receive at V. Clay from Sarah Heath. She is great!
One of the things I like most about Sarah is she does not do anything that is unnecessary. The first time I visited her I asked for a full highlight. She began asking me questions about the color I was trying to achieve and recommended only doing a partial highlight instead, which is a lot less expensive. She also has extended my highlights by touching up my roots twice instead of another partial highlight.
She is confident, professional and knows what she is doing. I have complete confidence in her

I attended V-Clay salon to have my hair trimmed and colored by, Sara. I asked for subtle highlights and a trim. A TRIM!!! Although we did not consult on what exactly I wanted, I felt confident that she would do a fantastic job. Since I'd taken my daughters in for haircuts and love the outcome.
After it was all set and done we walked outside to check the end result with outdoor lighting (due to poor lighting in the salon- said Sara). I looked great!!!! LOVE IT!!! Until, I washed it a few days later. =(

Cool little spot with a warm cozy feeling. I will follow Kellee Wayne to the end of the world and now she happens to work at V Clay. First off, everyone at V Clay seems to be very inviting and friendly. The shop is clean and very organized. Kellee Wayne has got to be one of the best hair dressers this earth has to offer. She really cares about my hair and is very honest on what looks good and what doesn't. I really appreciate that! She takes her time, very precise, very exact... And well, I LOVE that! She is amazing and I thank her for all the time she puts into my hair.

Being the daughter of a hairstylist, it's been hard for me to get brave enough to allow someone else to do my hair now that Mom isn't doing hair anymore. I have a bad habit of waiting many months to get my hair cut and highlighted (yes, I tolerate the dreaded root-rot!).

I just moved to Kyle and I found Sarah through Yelp. She had great reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try. What can I say? All the really great things written about Sarah are true! She listened (really listened) and then went to work. She was crazy fast (which I loved). Great highlights/low lights, cut, style! I'll definitely be back in about 5 weeks!

I was staying with my in-laws for a month and I couldn't get a hold of my old hair stylist. I have long hair that a lot of stylist like to chop off more then I requested, so I am very afraid of meeting other stylist just from previous experiences. I've been getting my hair done by Sarah Heath at V.Clay for two years now. I have never been unsatisfied with the results. (and if i was, she would fix it or change it).
My neighbor also has her hair done there, by Vanessa. She was the one that recommended me. I'm very glad she did.
The prices are reasonable (maybe even better than reasonable depending on what you are having done).
