My first contact here was VERY prickly. Like I was bugging the gal in the office. But in her defense, I did come just before they closed.
There were several miscommunications about unit number, sizes, the address, cost, deposit amounts, and availability. Fell in love with one apartment, let me look at it twice, then all of a sudden when I went to put my deposit down, BOOM, that apartment was suddenly already rented.
There’s a lot of construction going on, but I was fully made aware of this at move in. I agree with the folks saying they enter your apartment a lot. We just had to have our vents

The landlord / management company enter your apartment more times per year than any apartment I have lived in. They have entered my apartment for inspections / vent cleanings SEVEN times in one year. Most landlords want to enter 1-2 times yearly. I work from home and this is insanely overkill.
Not a great experience overall. Grounds are very well kept, but everything else is a sham.

We moved to one pearl place for 3.5 months due to construction in our own house. The noises from the highway were very loud even when doors and windows are closed. People who loves quiet and relaxed place shouldn’t rent at this place.
Second and most disappointing thing is that the facility maintenance/ in charge person didn’t check our apartment and major things such as air conditioning during summer!!! wasn’t working at all. The dishwasher made noises and smells and the dryer didn’t work at all!!

The weird bitterness smell filled the air conditioner when I moved in.
Indoor heating also smells like garbage when turned on.

This place is absolutely horrible. Many cars get broken into on a weekly basis and the barely started to do something about it. I am also disgusted by everyone in the office especially kelly, they all don't care or help you for your needs and they are so unprofessional. With my experience talking to them they told me multiple times to "do it yourself" or "your supposed to do that", they bring up topics that aren't about the situation to insult you. Whenever i call the office they rarely pick up. They are literally all so lazy, rude, and just straight up stupid. I

First of all OPP (one pearl place) is the WORST place to rent. The people in the leasing office are horrible and so unprofessional. there has been series of car break ins and they barely just started doing something about it. we had an issue and we needed to be fixed, when we try to contact multiple times and actually come in, they would be very rude and unprofessional. there have been multiple times where they did not want to help or fix the situation they would tell me that I needed to fix it myself when it was a problem on their end. even one time they ending up screaming in my face when I

I lived at Pearl One Place some years ago. However, I signed a year lease and was NEVER home and literally stayed with my mother a majority of the time as I was a single mother who needed help with a 3 year old. I got out of my lease later in the lease because of my situation and to my surprise, Pearl One place indicated I needed to pay multiple fees for an apartment that was literally better than what I had attained it in. Right away my car got broken into along with others, seems like cars getting broken into is a norm there. They have signs that say the area is subjected to video surveillance so there's actually no video surveillance. They say they have security but they really only show up at 10pm to do a quick walk through and that's it. They also say they have a Police Officer that supposedly shows up every once in a while.

I don't know where to start...Kelley and staff are absolutely fantastic. The professionalism that is displayed is bar none. I will coming up on 6 years as a resident at One Pearl and I feel like Family. One Pearl has to be one of the best communities in all of San Jose, if not the south bay area. Just love this place, from the amenities to the all the residents, plus the very cool complex parties that they out together. I almost feel selfish and do not want anyone else to find this gem, but you should know this place rocks!

My review of One Pearl Place (OPP) is LONG overdue.
My wife and I moved into OPP back in 2014 and lived there for about 2.5 years. We moved out after my wife got a new job but really loved my stay there. The location of our apartment was perfectly situated where we were away from the streets and the VTA. I can see how certain parts of the apartment complex can get noisy but I suppose we just got extremely lucky. The apartment is also gated so theoretically, no one other than the residents should be able to gain access to the facility. We had one unsolicited visitor at our front doorsteps

Been living here for almost 2 years. Beautiful with lots of plants. Everyone from management, maintenance and neighbors are so nice. Parking is always available. Great community with a lot gatherings such as pool area party's, yoga, scavenger hunts, etc. Gated community and always have felt safe. Light rail access just a quick walk and mall around the block. Highly recommended.

One Pearl Place is an excellent neighborhood. I have been part of it for about six years. The environment is beautiful, full of plants, clean and safe. Kelly is a great manager and a wonderful warm heart person.Susan, the assistant manager, is always smiling ready to give you a caring hand. One Pearl Place is a wonderful place to live. Last year wife and I moved here sight unseen from Colorado after working with the incredible leasing staff to secure an apartment. First impressions matter, and we were blown away the moment we arrived. The secured grounds are gorgeous, lush, and verdant - its like living in some beautiful eco hotel. I have been at One Pearl Place for three years now and I have been super happy. The location is perfect for me given my commute to San Francisco and San Carlos. Being next to Light rail where I can be at Caltrain in three stops makes it ideal. The office staff and the maintenance crew have always been professional, helpful and always take care of my needs as quickly as possible. One Pearl is the best. The prices are super reasonable, the community is quiet and feels like a little oasis, and the managers Kelley and Susan are the best. They're so helpful and thoughtful. OPP is so nice that my friends keep moving in.
Additional pros: sound proofing is much better than other places, landscaping is beautiful (not sterile like other places), management is awesome, pool parties.

I have resided at One Pearl Place for 4 years now and I could not be a happier camper. What makes this community is the professionals that make it run. The front office is top notch led by Kelley. You always feel like family here from the brunch's to the pool party's and the fact that they know and address you by name when you stop by to pick up a package or drop off rent. I recently moved out of One Pearl Place after staying at my unit for about 3 years (maybe more). Our unit was on the 5210 side and was facing the Ohlone-Chynoweth Commons, so I'm sure that my experience at One Pearl was radically different than some who lived in the center or facing a better area. If I could give no stars I would. Living here was mediocre --until it was time to move. The process was so miserable. Also, this place is basically constructed from tissue paper, so the construction is constant and you have to sell your soul to get any type of accommodation during the construction OR you can just live through the glorious sounds of jackhammering/construction screaming/inaccessible elevators/dust galore.

It's located in a great neighborhood in south San Jose (very quiet and peaceful) and the apartments are very well maintained and economical (relatively speaking). I lived at One Pearl Place for about a year. Recently just moved out. Rent was too high for what you are getting in return. The dishwasher was used once and it flooded so I just assume it was just for looks. The dryer outside of the unit was week as I have to dry my clothes 3 times around to get it dried enough. The worst was that I cleaned up and down before moving out and out of 600.00 deposit I gave them, I got 55.00 back only. One word WOW!!! Never happened to me before. Base on my experience the problem is the rent price of the community. I compared my rent to other communities and it was more expensive. I see one pearl place as an ordinary place to live, it is not very luxury but the price it charges seems like a luxury apartment. Another problem was the fact that in the street there were lots pf taxi parking in Pearl av and around the community. It seems the taxi owners live around the community (This is not a bad thing just the information to share).

Well what do you know, we had to move it. Well, I am not disappointed. I have NEVER lived in an apt but I must say, this place is top notch. Quiet, well kept, safe, and beautiful. I can't complain at all. Kelley and Maggie in the front office are great and super sweet. The apts are in good repair and maintenance is ON IT. This is a great place. You get what you pay for!

Living at One Pearl Place has been wonderful. Nearly a year into our lease, here is what I have found:
Pros: Grounds are beautifully maintained, plenty of shops and grocery stores nearby, and the light rail is steps away from our apartment. The community itself is quiet and neighbors have all been respectful. Our apartment has beautiful fixtures and the staff here is friendly.
Cons: Car break-ins in our underground parking and the neighboring housing community sometimes draws a sketchy crowd.
All in all my experience here has been great and I would recommend anyone looking for housing to definitely
