True Haven Inspection
An inspection is your chance for security and peace of mind when buying a home; it's a perspective beyond the new paint and staged furniture, into the inner and outer aspects of the property. You will receive a complete report including photos, comments, and details about your home. Useful not only for negotiation but those weekend "honey-do's".

No matter what stage of the home buying process you're currently in, you've probably heard the term "inspection" more than once. An inspection is one of the most important aspects to a home purchase. It can make or break a deal, and sometimes, it can even end up making the deal a little sweeter for you, the buyer.

Meet John - John Prior has a discerning eye for all things related to building and architecture. He has a vast knowledge of design, construction, building code, and an uncanny ability to see things about our homes that are not visible to the untrained eye. John's degree in architecture coupled with his past 15 years of general contracting experience has molded him into the experienced home inspector that he is today.
We don't need to tell you how overwhelming buying a new home can be. Chances are, if you've found us, you're in the thick of it! Maybe you've already found "The One" and are preparing to make an offer (Congratulations!) or maybe you're just starting your search and trying to get all of your ducks in a row before things get too overwhelming.
But you could also do your own root canal. This is never recommended. Inspectors are educated, experienced, highly trained, and specialize in looking for problems in a home. They also carry specialized tools that help them find otherwise hidden problems.

While you might be able to spot the more obvious things, such as bulging flooring or moldy walls, your inspector will be able to take a deeper look into the house to not only get a complete picture of what is currently a problem, but might be able to tell you what problems you can expect in the future.
Once you've found your dream home and are ready to buy, one of the next steps is to schedule an inspection. When it comes to this process, you might be wondering what your role is and what your next steps are. Don't stress about it, the process is easier than you might think. Here's a basic rundown of what you can expect during a home inspection.
Overview: The True Haven General Home Inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property (as detailed in the InterNACHI SOP), which is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components (roof, exterior, basement, plumbing, etc). Our general home inspection reports identify, in written format, defects within specific systems and components defined by the SOP mentioned above.
