First, access to the beach was great and the proximity to different restaurants and shops was a plus. That’s were it ends. The room was not clean, lots of sands and garbage under the sofa and carpet from previous guest. The master bedroom air conditioning did not cool the room at all. The master bed was very uncomfortable and the big negative is the noise, the whole week having to listen to kids running around with no regards till midnight.

The unit and property were fine and the beach just behind the House of the Sun was amazing, but I recommend staying elsewhere. We mistakenly left behind some clothing items and an Amazon Fire Stick and promptly contacted management regarding our mistake. Management said they would look into retrieving the items from the unit, but I had to initiate the follow-up days later to only receive a terse response stating “Unfortunately, nothing was found in the unit. Thank you.” We know we left these items behind and exactly where. My suspicion is that either 1) Management didn’t actually follow up

Love coming here. The front desk staff is so nice, and if you forget anything (and they don't have it across the street....hint hint), you can ship your amazon packages here.
The pool is cool, the beach is nice, and the rooftop deck is GREAT for watching the sunset. Can't wait to come back here with my family for years to come.

Have stayed here many times over the years and just finished another great stay. We were fortunate to have a great unit which always helps, but was really struck by how well the staff, (office and maintenance) make this a special place.
Our unit was great, but the halls, stairs, garage, pool, tennis courts, beach areas etc are really kept up nicely. As I drank my morning coffee, I watched the maintenance team each morning complete their routine, to clean the sand that might have blown or been tracked onto the deck. Readjust the chairs etc.

Been going here for years and it gets better every year. Plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance and the beach is much less crowded than the village part of the island. Its easy to walk or bike down to the village for dinner/drinks/shopping/whatever. Being on the south side of the building is a must otherwise you're just looking into another building instead of at the ocean.

I have been going to House of the Sun since my mom was pregnant with me! Siesta Key has been our family's 'happy place' my whole life and House Of The Sun is included in that nostalgia. The rooms are always clean and well equipped. The beach is of course, incredible. I have nothing but fond memories of Sarasota & House of the Sun.I highly recommend staying here.

We had heard such great things about this place which is why we decided to come siesta key for the first time. Everything was great except for the fact that I couldn't use the washer or dryer. It was supposed to be included but was broke and no one mentioned it to me during check in. I was given the key to another unit and told that I could only use the washer and the dryer for a couple hrs due to someone checking in. The whole point in a vacation is to relax not carrying laundry back and forth between units and wearing dirty clothes due to not being able to wash but 1 load. I feel that we should

403 is The Most Wonderful Condominium in House of the Sun!!!! You will find everything that you need to feel absolutely at home!!! The view from the balcony is breathtaking! The ambiance in this unit will help you find peace, relaxation and harmony! My family and I agree that Unit 403 is the #1 place to stay in Siesta Key!!!!!

Second year in a row and we are booking again next year. Even with the red tide we were able to enjoy the beach and cool off at the pool.4th of July was definitely the busiest I've ever seen a beach but I never felt too crowded and the fireworks that night are something I'll never forget .... affordable, not run down, and family friendly. Great for a beach vacation $$$$

We have had a great vacation each time we have stayed here. Condos are spacious and clean, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Beach is beautiful, pool is nice. The only issue we have encountered is some inconsiderate groups who claim over a dozen beach chairs and then never use them later, and a group of elementary school boys CONSTANTLY running through the hallways playing Nerf war. I wish that there was a way to have that stopped because it is very loud and disruptive.

My family recently stayed at the House of the Sun in Siesta Key, Florida in a 2 bedroom condo for a week. The room was clean and the ocean view off the patio was fantastic. You get your own private beach access (with chairs provided) and pool.
My two complaints were that (1) getting sleep on my vacation was challenging. We had 5 adults in our condo to be slept on a king, two twins and a sofa sleeper. I'm not sure if the kind bed was comfortable or not but I can testify to the twin bed being difficult to get comfortable on and my brother slept with the sofa pulled out as a bed only one night

Nice condos overall. All of the condos are angled to have ocean views, we stayed at the furtherest back from the ocean and could still see part of the waves. Check in process is easy and staff is very helpful. We found that these condos are cheaper to rent than others in the area and if you are looking to just hang at the beach, it is perfect. Could use more beach chairs for the facility and condo was a tad outdated but clean and spacious! Would definitely stay here again, great location for the price!
