I have no issue with the eye exam itself, but Dr. Shotwell, in my opinion was very unprofessional in bringing up politics during the exam. We did not agree and she was very brash in her opinions. (And said she felt sorry for me!) I don’t expect to encounter that when I go to see a doctor and for that reason alone I may be seeking another eye doctor. Not because she disagreed with me but because she brought up politics in the first place. Very unprofessional.

I've been going to Dr. Shotwell for a few years now. Before that, I was relatively new to the area and was only going to the Optical Center at the Sams Club nearby. I didn't know it, but that was a big mistake because the Optometrist at Sams was performing notoriously poor eye exams (only I didn't know better). Even Dr. Shotwell had heard of the clown.
Dr. Shotwell performed more thorough testing than the big box discount eye doc. My wife suggested we go here on word of mouth, and now our kids get their eyes checked here. Luckily, no glasses for them (yet).
