The Classic Yoga is the branch of yoga that is based on ancient wisdom brought to the West from India. Not to be confused with Hot Yoga, the classic yoga, also known as Hatha Yoga, concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. It is taught in a relaxed atmosphere, allowing the participant to embark on a journey of discovery into their body and soul.
Yin Yoga uses traditional yoga asanas (postures) that require less of an external effort but have a deep effect, resulting in stretching of connective tissue and opening of pathways to allow flow of energy.
To quote Paul Grilley, who had been at the forefront of promoting this practice, The main differences between a Yin and a Yang (more strenuous and external) Yoga practices are that Yin postures should be done with the muscles relaxed and be held a long time. This is because connective tissue does not stretch like muscles and will not respond well to brief stresses.

Drawing from classic Yoga asanas (postures), Qigong exercises, Tai Chi principles, Meditation awareness, and combines with various breathing techniques, Ronen's Restorative classes are a contemplative practice, aimed at evoking a peaceful, reflective and calm set of mind while stretching and relaxing the body.
Ronen's guided meditation events are intended for seasoned as well as complete beginners to the practice. These events are open to all, no previous experience with meditation, or other spiritual practice, is necessary. Just be open-minded and interested in exploring inner paths. No need to bring anything but yourself.
NC Yogi offers a host of mindfulness programs for corporations and organizations. Yoga with Ronen is a treat for the body and the soul. He is an incredibly caring instructor and teaches with a combination of knowledge of the body and a purse sense of joy that I find difficult to find elsewhere. While his classes are great for beginners, they are beneficial for all levels as he works each student deeper based on their individual place in their practice. In addition to the attention to the body, during longer held asanas, he shares spiritual writings and ethereal music to add another layer of light and love to the overall experience. His joy of life, knowledge of the body, infectious

Ronen's hatha yoga class was my first after having knee surgery. He is especially helpful in offering the modifications I need. His style is patient, laid-back, and personal. Each class includes pranayama, warm-up asanas , a flow sequence, core work , an inversion, and a nice long savasana accompanied by lavender aromatherapy.

I found Ronen’s unique yoga teaching style to be very relaxing. There is no judgement and each participant can do what they can. After class I felt calm, relaxed and yet awake. I would recommend anyone who wants to take yoga without the pressure of showing off a super flexible body to try this class. A very rewarding experience.
