Think of a good restaurant. Now think of the complete opposite That’s the Family Restaurant. Passing through on my way home from OBX and thought it can’t be that bad. I was wrong. Almost all the food is from frozen. They use Kraft singles for sandwiches and cheesesteaks. The wings are a hot mess and not spicy hot. Avoid-avoid-avoid.

First visit since moving to town pre-pandemic. The positives: friendly service, food was all hot and came quickly. Lots of variety in the menu. Portions were almost too generous, served on very large plates. Seafood bisque had chunks of seafood in it,q turkey platter was real turkey, and brussel sprouts had good flavor and weren’t bitter. Areas of potential improvement: no decor in the restaurant, floors looked a bit rough, bisque could have used a bit more flavor, gravy on turkey was not bad, but was yellow gravy rather than real turkey gravy, and stuffing tasted like stove top. Overall, not
