Checked into a filthy cabin (during this pandemic, no less) with mushrooms growing on the wall, an oven so dirty it filled the cabin with smoke when we turned it on, dirty dishes and utensils in the cupboards and drawers, used soap, dental floss and hair in the shower, what looked like blood on the washcloth…etc.
Tried to resolve via phone, email and in person with no luck. Ended up leaving before our scheduled departure date.
Our first vacation in two years and we were left disappointed and frustrated rather than relaxed and refreshed.

This is the second time we have come up to Big Bear and rented a property with Big Bear Vacations. Our rental cabin was at Lagunita Lane and had a beautiful lakefront/lagun view. We came last summer and the lagun was filled with birds and ducks, this time it's pretty much snowed over but it is a beautiful view. The staff are very friendly and they will get you a great weekend getaway rental cabin. The property itself is in great condition, fairly old but cozy for the area. Especially during the winter.

Literally left us out in the cold for 3 hours after check-in!!! use airBNB or another company . They took our money, but would not let us in the cabin due to housekeeping? Never had a situation like this in the 10 years we’ve been coming to big bear

They are not organized at all they lie to us they messed up giving us the wrong cabin! When they gave us the address to the cabins it was a complete mess they gave us the wrong number to the cabin we were outside in the cold looking for the cabin that looked like the one in the pictures because the one that they send us was completely different, they said we could stay on the cabin for our day the we booked it that we were not going to pay for the difference the next day they called us to get out to move to the cabin that we booked because there was people coming in to stay it but that was a lie

I got a cabin less than 24 hours before arriving. Communication was great and the cabin was wonderful. The kitchen was equipped with dishes and silverware and complimentary coffee and they had Netflix for the little ones. Upon arrival there is a binder filled with information for you to know and a checklist to follow once you leave. The only reason I leave 4 stars is because some of the information is outdated from 2017-2018. However, I would definitely book my cabin again.
There were no issues during my 3 day stay, I would buy my cabin as a vacation home if I could.

#1792 fisherman's paradise is falling apart. The balcony is very dangerous. Wood supports for hand rails as well as the balcony is splitting and splintered. The jacuzzi was nice, but again, broken jets a knobs. The lower deck where the jacuzzi is, is splintered as is the wooden steps to get in it. My 2 kids got splinters in their feet. Was not given much info on the cabin and what it had other than the basic info. Could not use the pool table. All the sticks were broken.... missing the tips, bent sticks, or broken in half. The kitchen was nice. All the basic necessities were there. Towels and dishes

We had a great time with Big Bear Vacations rental home. I called the 800 number for help with the booking, talked with Stefanie, and was able to complete the booking over the phone. The house was about 7mins away from the lift. Great little home, two stories with a fireplace. We got to snowboard for the first time with our 7 year old son. He had a blast and got to see fresh falling snow. We brought some duraflame logs, had an open fire going, and it kept the living room warm while we watch the star wars marathon on cable tv. We will definitely come back next year. Thank you for a great rental
