Before the current Lodge was built, the property housed the original Lagonita Lodge: A sprawling ranch-style resort that boasted comfort and spacious accommodations on the Lake, an outdoor heated pool, deluxe rooms with wood-burning fireplaces, a boat dock, tons of activities and 4 acres to roam. Guests were promised a relaxing time away from home and away from the main hustle and bustle in Big Bear's tourist center - the Village.
Few places in Big Bear Lake, California offer the same amenities that you'll find at Lagonita Lodge. Guests staying at the Lodge have access to our gym, pool, beach front and much more. Enjoy the following amenities with your guests when you visit Big Bear Lake. If there is something you don't see listed that you'd like pre-arranged for your stay, give us a call and we'd be happy to accommodate your request in advance of your arrival.
When booking your reservation to stay at Lagonita Lodge, please be sure to inform the agent or notate in the requests field any special requests you may have. The Lagonita Lodge has limited availability of some amenities and it is best to reserve it in advance. All areas of the resort may be accessed without the use of stairs, however there are stairs throughout the property.
The Lagonita Lodge offers accommodations that feature all of the amenities in a home and hotel so you can relax in complete comfort while you are on vacation. Our family-friendly condos feature spacious living rooms, full kitchens or kitchenette, and complimentary wireless internet. Enjoy more during your stay when you book direct!
Payment: The total price of the reservation will be charged in full on the day of booking. Excluded in the total room rate are taxes and resort fees which are not charged until you arrive at the resort. Sales Tax: Tax is 11% and is not included in your room rate. Parking: One parking space per reservation is provided upon check in and included in the daily resort fee.

This lodge is in a great location right on the lake, centrally located and close to the downtown area. We stayed in January but would consider coming back in spring or summer to enjoy the lake a little more. We chose this lodge because of the kitchen included in our room which helped avoid spending extra money on dining out. Picture attached was taken about 30 yards from the back of the hotel on the lake.

Love love love this place our first stay and pleasantly surprised! It's right on the lake, the rooms are huge (they're not really rooms their condos) everything you could possibly need. A full kitchen with all the amenities, fireplace ,couch, living room, patio ,bedroom, separate bathroom really great place, great location ( indoor pool etc.) Super friendly staff. Highly recommended! ( exceptional value)

Overall the place was nice. The rooms were a bit outdated but had everything you needed. Staff was pleasant. The view we had was amazing. The only complaint was noise from neighbors. You can hear every stomp and chair being dragged if tenants can be reminded to be mindful of below. They had great activities for families also. Had a fun family vacation.

We stayed in a unit with lake view for three nights during a recent ski trip. The lake view was terrific both from the balcony and outside in the beach. The room was spacious. The only complaint I had was the noise level. Every time the heater turned on or a neighboring unit flushed the toilet, I would wake up. Even though I liked everything else, I would not choose to stay there again.

Absolutely the best place to stay in Big Bear Lake! My family has been here several times in the past 3 years and we love this place! Told all our friends and families and they are looking forward to visiting this gem. The customer service is great too along with all the fantastic amenities.

Awesome place!!! They have an elevator, which my knees are very thankful for. The room was Beautiful, we could see the lake from the balcony. The pool, and jacuzzi looked very inviting, unfortunately no swim suit 😑 lol next time 😁 The continental breakfast was also very good, the coffee was great, along with the Whole Staff, I came across. Will love to stay here again!!!

I love this place! We have been staying here for our summer vacation for about 7 years now. Every time is a great experience. The rooms are all great. The staff is always so kind and helpful. I love that has a private dock. And the whole facility is wonderful. There is a good walking area, a dock to fish on, a dock to rent a boat if you want, activities for adults and family, a rec room for families, also an adults only pool room, a pool, a jacuzzi for children, a jacuzzi for adults, a BBQ area, and more! I wouldn't stay anywhere else to be honest. Again, I have never had a bad experience

We really enjoyed our stay here! Set expectations properly and you will not be disappointed. Expect to get what you pay for....We got a 1/2bath lake view and had a great partial view from the back patio area on the first floor. Checkin was super easy and staff was also very friendly. The room itself is pretty dated but I knew this coming in, think what your grandma's house looks like...lol. Cons...not the cleanest...the couch foldout had popcorn on it and mattress has stains. It's also definitely not a comfortable pull out. Carpet also has stains and the paint is peeling in some areas

After our expensive rental cabin had a severe plumbing problem at Big Bear Lake, my wife and I were desperately seeking an ALTERNATE place to stay for the night, and I remembered that I had found the great Lagonita Lodge, lakeside, on a previous Expedia search, so LUCKILY Janice Jett was on duty as the Front Desk Supervisor at Lagonita Lodge, and she was INCREDIBLY helpful and friendly, and she got us a FANTASTIC lakeside room, at a great price, with full kitchen, and a gas fired fireplace, and we LOVED our room, and had a GREAT experience, and we will DEFINITELY be visiting Lagonita Lodge again

I really dislike divulging cool hidden gems but this place is fantastic. Miguel was working the front desk and was great at check in. Our room was really nice and overlooked the lake. Wonderful patio for coffee in the mornings and eating at the outside table in the evening. Nice beach around the place and fishing from the shore, just have to buy a day pass or fishing license.

Great spot with literally everything you need... check in was smooth and they give a list of activities for each day that they do at the lodge!! Friday was wine and cheese night!!!!! whenever our family travels we usually cook our own food since we're not big on dining out and i was glad to see our unit was equipped with everything i needed. We had a one bedroom unit and while the master bedroom was a bit small it worked out great we had a pull out bed in the living room that my kids shared a flat screen tv in the living room and bedroom a balcony with chairs and a gas fireplace !!! So I will start by saying we had a great experience spending 2 days at this hotel. We just stayed a week at Lagonita and I must say its all about the room and time of year. Some owners do the bare minimum it seems and those rooms are not the ones ya want. OWNERS STEP UP YOUR UNITS!!!!
My wife's birthday stay was just as fabulous as the first time we stayed here a year ago. Still a lil upset about my 25th anniversary, not at the resort or the employees who bust their humps to do what they can to make this place the most special place on the shore. Thank you Scott for a most wonderful experience. Looking forward to one more before the temps sore, lol.

Lagonita Lodge was actually a really nice and accommodating place to stay. We were able to check in early and the location was great with a partial lake view.
A lot of space in the 2-bedroom. Huge living room
with a pull out bed in the couch. Unit 236 is where we stayed. The fireplace was perfect for the winter times. A lot of parking available and when we called for something we got a quick response.

Location is amazing, right by the lake and quite neighborhood. Parking was plenty. Check in was very easy. They are careful with covid measures. Inside the lodge room, it looked clean but can use little more. Rooms are little outdated. Furniture looked old. Cable TV is basic but entertained me for a couple of days. Gas fire place is weak but worked okay. Wireless worked okay, I even had a zoom meeting. Did not use pool or jacuzzi but it was open with reservation. Microwave smelled a little. Property is very clean and the staff is more than welcoming. They have no AC so it was difficult to sleep during the hot summer months. They do have kayak, SUP and boat rentals so that made up for the lack of AC. Much more convenient than having to go to the marina and deal with a rental facility. We enjoyed our stay!

What a view! We wanted an elevator due to disability, so here we are on the 3rd floor. When we walked out to the living room covered patio, we were taken aback by the breathtaking view!
Full lake view, glorious mountains, and just nothing like the rustle of the evergreen trees in the mild wind. In time, several people were standing or sitting on chairs, fishing. Occasionally, a boat would scroll by to break up the waves upon the shoreline. Can hear the waves from the patio.
Beautiful location, great amenitites, cooked many good meals. Want to go back already! And here we formulated the Lagonita

This Review is unique, because we visited the lodge in the middle of the Covid 19 crisis. I fully realize that everyone is scared and practicing social distancing.....BUT if the management does indeed read Yelp Reviews, I wanted to offer you a customer perspective. Here are basic facts:
1) Because of the Covid Crisis, we called the hotel 3 times prior to our arrival just to make sure they were still open for business. We were assured that 'yes' they were with exception of common areas being closed (such as pool, etc)- which we expected.
